Used Southampton Valet LTD services at meet and greet in the terminal short stay car park. 4th September - 19th September 2023. Got home yesterday after getting our car back to open a parking ticket with a charge of 100 pounds. A fine for 14 minutes parking at the designated short stay car park by the cruise terminal we were told to go to where we handed our car over to them. I have a mobile phone number which they are not picking up and the mail box is full.

Total shambles and really should have known better
Dropped car off at Centenary Quay as instructed on there email.Then had to wait over an hour nearly missing cruise to get to the Mayflower terminal in a beaten up dirty old van with the sliding door hanging off.
On return no answer from there provided mobile so got in a taxi.
2 Weeks later get a parking fine from F1rst parking.
Contacted them they said transfer fine into Southampton valet ltd.Been unable to do that.
Going to pay fine and learn from experience.
JUST AVOID THIS COMPANY TOTAL SHAMBLES AND BUNCH OF CROOKS

I too got a parking fine from parking eye for my car being left too long in the short stay car park by Southampton port parking/ valet limited.
I am pleased to say that parking eye cancelled the fine. I used their appeal process as detailed on the fine paperwork and sent them a copy of my booking, showing the instructions given to me to park in the short stay.

parked with them to go on a cruise managed to find the parking in the end on the return couldn’t get in touch had to get a taxi then today gets a fine for parking where they told me appeal rejected all in all bad experience cost me £200 altogether a bit p***** off don’t

Arrived but found no meet and greet. Scam scam scam!!!

Absolute crooks, do not use. Recieved a parking fine as many other have. I have been unsuccessful with my appeal, they emailed me to say I needed to transfer the fine into their company name 'Southampton Valet Ltd' which was only incorporated on 12th June 23! This was rejected by The parking fine company (F1RST PARKING) and have told me to report them to the police and or trading standards which is exactly what I've done.

Parked car at location specified in my booking on the 30th of August 2023. Picked up by shuttle service and taken to QEII Cruise Terminal. Disembarked cruise ship on the 3rd of September and was picked up by someone who appeared to be under the influence and entered the dirty van he turned up in. The seats were damp and the vehicle wreaked of mariuana. After arriving home I read reviews relating to this website and found that numerous people complained about the same things as well as receiving penalty notices in the post from the car park people were instructed to park in. Complaints are accurate as I have just received a penalty charge notices in the post.

DO NOT USE no matter how cheap. Concerned at drop off as admin was done from boot of car and keys were put in food bags. On return they had keys but no car and it too over a hr &a half to return in bad weather.
Then got a parking fine for overstay drop off and pick up as did my two other cars.
SHOCKING should not be allowed to operate.

I was horrified to receive a parking fine letter this morning! My parents also received a fine, this was a scam?!?

Having read other reviews after booking I was worried tbh !
Dropped car on 2nd Sept and collected yesterday. I mentioned re reviews and parking tickets and staff member assured me there would be No Tickets and car was undamaged , just as I dropped it off! Let’s see what happens in 2wks and maybe leaving another review. My experience was good and would recommend them for sure.

Scam we had to pay again to park somewhere else

We too have been ripped off, recieving a parking fine 2 weeks after returning. Awful service, horrid people. We had to get a taxi back to our car after no response and waiting in the huge taxi queue. Met others who too had been duped. Aggressive, unpleasant response when finally got through to them about the fine. Complete scam, I feel foolish for paying them for absolutely nothing. Expensive mistake. Not sure how they keep getting away with this. AVOID

Same paid for meet amd greet and car park 25 to 1st Sept.after arriving home got parking fine. E eventually got is cancelled with warni g not to park there.

Drop off and collection in the short stay car park at Ocean Cruise Terminal Southampton was disorganised, but it did the job.
UNTIL after returning from the cruise, when we received 2 car parking charges for not paying for the short stay car park... which should have been covered by Southampton Valet.
No useful response from the company, so now making a claim through the small claims.

Shocking. We received a fine a couple of weeks after we got home. I have appealed the fine. The fine company have said that no fee was paid for using the carpark and that Southampton Meet & Greet do not have permission to park in their car parks. Do not use this company, you are better off just parking in an NCP carpark and pay the parking fee, this would have been much cheaper than what we paid to this cheating company.

Parking fine from cruise on 26th August 2023 - now received a text from company;

Dear Customers,

We are sorry for the issues some of our customers have experienced with fines from Southampton port when leaving your vehicle with us for port parking services. We have been in communication with parking eye to get this matter resolved and in order to not inconvenience any of our customers who have received a fine we have decided a course of action that stops the liability of the charge coming to yourself.

We ask that you transfer the parking charge into our company’s name and we will resolve the fines with parking eye (the parking management company who issued the fines) internally. These fines should not have been charged to yourself and we are in the middle of these talks with parking eye as we speak.

Transferring the parking charge into our company name will stop any further action being taken against you.

In order to do this there is an email address and phone number on the parking fine that you received, if you email Parkingeye or call them and let them know that the parking charge was wrongfully issued in your name and the vehicle was in the care of Southampton valet Ltd at the time the parking issue was issued and that you would like it transferred.

Again we apologise for any and all inconvenience these fines have caused and look to get the matter resolved as soon as possible.

Having read all these other reviews (which I wish I had read before booking!) I have suffered exactly the same treatment. Parking fine received 2 weeks after returning from cruise, having paid over £100 for my car to be 'parked'. The parking fine Co say they have no affiliation with Southampton Valet Ltd. This is clearly a cynical tactic to make money from cruise travellers. Does this company needs to be taken to a consumer watchdog?

I used this company at southampton port from 19/8/2023 till 26/08/2023 while I was away on Norwegian cruise.When i collected my car on saturday 26/08/2023 It was damaged.Although Attendant Mr Ali agreed and promised repair but no positive response yet.
so many negative reviews .This looked very unprofessional and dodgy company.we need to group together and take legal action against them.

absolutely disgusted with the end result , my vehicle has 3 wheels damaged and tailgate lid dented and 1/4 of a tank of fuel used and to boot they are asking me for photos of my vehicle before they, took it due to they have none funny that luckily i took photos and sent them to their e mail and they said didnt receive them although i got an email saying thankyou for pictures very odd
