I bought Simms base layer trouser from…

I bought Simms base layer trouser from Sportfish and the elasticity went.I informed them of this fault and was told to send them back and they would forward them to Simms which I’m led to believe is in America
Rather than replace them they insisted I wash them and send them to be inspected and pay for postage for inferior goods.I was made to believe by some muppet that I had put weight on and stretched them .When I informed him that I would have to wait on Simms decision I was told I would have to wait ,how long is anybody’s guess,meanwhile I will have to go and source another pair
This is a tin pot operation run by people who couldn’t give a damn regarding there customer

Majorly disappointed

I contacted Sportfish on Monday to check if I ordered a reel that it would arrive for Wednesday as I was booked on a trip Thursday. I was told that so long as the order was placed before 3.30pm then it would be sent out and would arrive by Wednesday. I ordered the item well before the 3.30pm cut off and waited until Tuesday morning to check the status of it. On Tuesday the order still said 'picking' on my Sportfish account so I called them to check what was happening. I was told by a very helpful lady that the item wasn't in the warehouse and therefore was coming from the shop. I advised that I would happily pay for the next day delivery to ensure I got it by today as I am away fishing from Thursday. I was advised that the item would be sent by DPD and would arrive with me by today, there was no reason for me to question what was being said so I left it there.

I then tracked the package this morning via the reference number from the Sportfish website to find that the item was sent yesterday at 17.59 with Royal Mail on a 48h delivery meaning that the items are currently sat in Birmingham and won't be arriving until Thursday or Friday, absolutely no use to me at all. Instead Sportfish have taken my money and failed to deliver on their word. If I had chanced this order in the hope it would arrive in time I wouldn't be so frustrated but, I have chased it up and been told more than once that the item would arrive in time.

I have called Sportfish this morning and spoken with Josh who basically told me that there is absolutely nothing he can do about the situation but that he understands as an angler that I must be frustrated. Unfortunately Josh's empathy does nothing to help my situation and the advice was to leave a review so, here it is.

As anglers ourselves we fully understand your frustration and, whilst we appreciate this does not compensate for the delay in receiving your reel, or the information you received from us, as an apology for the disappointment this has caused, we would like to offer you a small compensation.

However, I would like to point out that the item comes to us packaged and it wouldn’t have been sent out to you if it was obvious it was damaged... goods can be damaged in transit and I suspect this is what will have happened.

My order was part shipped but charged in full.

My order was part shipped but charged in full and no communication of any sort. I haven’t had the missing items yet, but on contacting them I was treated very dismissively by them and told that “this is the way it is these days, and missing things will follow”. I will wait and see ! I should say the items that did ship came quickly.

Very poor customer service

I have had to contact sportfish twice to find out where my order is. Now they say that only part of it is on its way. I find it disappointing that when you place an order and it is in stock that you then have to wait for stock to come in. Surely once you pay, that stock should be allocated to the customer?? Very poor service.
They even sent the wrong item when completing the order.

Thank you for your feedback. I have spoken with customer services and checked the order. As it was placed late on a Friday, your order would have not been picked up by the team until Monday.

Very occasionally stock is incorrect and it would appear this was the case on some of the Fulling Mill items. We apologise for this. No items are charged until dispatch and to ensure you received your goods as fast as possible we dispatched the items in two orders.

I note your order has been fully completed and trust you are now able to enjoy using them.

Excellent customer service

I have had the need to contact Sportfish (Hereford) today regarding an issue with a Rio flyline - the reaction and service I received was excellent and beyond initial expectation, I cannot recommend them highly enough off the back of this. Well Done Sportfish and I look forward to placing future orders.

Excellent customer service, good selection and knowledgeable staff.

I had chosen Sportfish on several fishing friends recommendations as being good value and having an excellent range of fishing tackle. As a complete novice I had chosen a fly rod and reel outfit that was competitively priced and a good brand as well as some accessories. Unfortunately the rod was not in stock and I needed the set urgently.
On contacting the store Chris Ryan immediately reviewed the situation and phoned back as promised 5 minutes later. He has sourced an alternative and got it to the courier to be delivered next day. As well as taking time to pass on some advice around rods and reels. It was excellent service and definitely went above and beyond late on a Friday afternoon. Thanks Chris and I will both use you again and recommend you to my friends.

Cheaters! Want to make pay twice for shipping

I ordered a Big order. They couldnt deliver one item and sent the order items without informing me about this missing item.
2 days later, they Got this item back in Stock. They removed that item from my order and told that i had to create a new order and pay shipping once again.

Slow answering also. Customer service for this Company does not exist.

UPDATE
As Ian says, i asked if it was possible to add additional items to the order.
As Sportfish.co.uk needed to sent me one item, this would make sense.
They should sent the order anyways and therefor i could save money on shipping - and they could earn even more on additional sales. But no...
Toni from sportfish.co.uk replied and cancelled my order instead and told me, that i could not add additional items. And then he cancelled my missing item, and told me that if i still wanted the item, i had to pay shipping and create a new order.

Because our customer service and shipping is so prompt your order was despatched immediately. When we contacted you to complete the transaction for the outstanding item you asked to add to your original order, as this was a new order and a separate transaction from the original one that had already been shipped it would require payment for shipping.
