We booked Sujeewa Kumara for our 6 day tour and he truly exceeded expectations. Throughout he was genuine, thoughtful to our needs and requests, a very safe driver, knowledgeable, very professional in all that he said and did for us, had very good english and a good sense of humour. We would without a doubt highly recommend him as your driver.

We had an incredible time touring Sri Lanka and I’m so grateful to Tour Buddy for helping our plans become the perfect reality on our trip! It all started when we filled out the contact form on their website. Priyantha got back to me promptly with an estimate that was quite reasonable and then he helped me perfect my travel plans, providing guidance on how to structure the itinerary to reduce driving hours and maximize our time for excursions. Then the real fun began when we were picked up at the airport by our friendly and very knowledgeable guide and driver, Gayan. Gayan was an extremely safe driver who made us feel comfortable on even the most hectic city roads. He gave us so many tips to get the most out of our activities, and also suggested other fun things to do that we would have never known about, that helped break up the longer drives and add a more local touch to our trip. He’s also very kind and willing to share his knowledge of Sri Lanka history and culture, which added so much to our overall experience. We’re curious travelers and asked him hundreds of questions, which he answered so patiently! We truly felt like we had made a friend and were a little sad to say goodbye when he dropped us back off at the airport! Meanwhile, Priyantha checked in with us over the course of our travels to make sure everything was going smoothly. Traveling this far away from home is always a little complicated - that is part of the adventure. But Gayan and Priyantha made us feel so well cared for throughout our journey, so we could focus on enjoying ourselves and getting the most from our trip. I highly recommend them!!

Needed to book a transfer from Galle to the airport and used this website to search for quotes. Lots of choice and far cheaper than the quote my hotel gave me. Chose the tour operator to use based on reviews and service was great and as expected with a nice car a quick trip at good price.

We are very satisfied with the service. Everything worked smoothly, the communication was easy, and the whole process was pleasantly straightforward. A great and reliable way to find a driver in Sri Lanka.

Chaminda is a terrific, careful driver and host. He collected me from my accommodation at No. 53, drove me to Heretika for two nights where I met up with my daughter. He sought out a local barber for me to have a cutthroat shave.
We explored the area, swam and ate lovely Sri Lankan food. We spent two nights in Ella, visited temples, the tea plantation and ate Buffalo Curd.
We drove to Ahangama and stayed by the beach and found cool restaurants and coffee shops. We also visited the Dutch fort town of Galle and finally made it to Negombo where I flew out to Perth, Australia and my daughter flew out to London.
This trip was incredibly important to me as it allowed my daughter to reconnect with me and to rebuild our relationship albeit for a brief 7 days. What made it perfect was Chaminda.
Chaminda is an incredible human being. He is kind, thoughtful, generous, passionate, speaks good English, is a knowledgeable and patient guide, honest beyond words and a lovely man. He is now my friend and I cried when hugged him on his way.
I have travelled extensively in Asia, always weary of being ripped off by exuberant locals, being driven the long way to one’s hotel to ensure they get the most tourist dollars, being hit with hidden fees and costs and sometimes being lied to to enable back handers and bribes.
Chaminda is a true gentleman. He paid for tolls, temple visits, parking, water and fended off those I have described above. I offered to pay him his set rate (which incidentally was the lowest I could find on line) up front as well as an advance on the total cost, knowing that he had a wife and two children at home and he refused each time. On the last day, I gave him the agreed funds and he accepted that with a smile and his genuine ‘thank you sir’ even though I had worked hard for 7 days to get him to call me Nic. The best he did was to call me Sir Nic with true respect.
I could go on about what an awesome person Chaminda is but I won’t. What I will say is if you see this review, please please employ him as your driver. You will not be disappointed. His Buddhist philosophy shines through but he is a true humanist and has great love for all.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience during our trip to Sri Lanka, and we couldn’t have asked for a better driver than Asanka.
From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized, and Asanka made our journey truly special. He was always kind, professional, patient, and incredibly helpful. Thanks to him, we were able to discover so many beautiful places and learn more about the culture and everyday life in Sri Lanka.
We were traveling with our grandson, who quickly grew very fond of Asanka. His warm and friendly approach made a big difference, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about our comfort and well-being throughout the trip.

Great site that connected us with a great driver for the week!! Saved us so much money vs. booking through our travel agent. Drivers were responsive and the review function is really helpful.

A group of 6 over 60s on a tour of Sri Lanka did their homework. Sri Lanka Car Hire was the trusted site from which we gained the most insight, had the greatest choices and eventually found an excellent driver. Ceylon Best Tours and driver Gamini were exceptional, honest, safe and wise. Trust both sites and choose Ceylon Best Tours is all I can say.

Found this website when I was looking for airport transfer options. Decided to book a drive through them. It was someone or something called Lion roar travel. Got confirmation email. On the day (night, it was 4.50am) of arrival the driver was a not present. Nobody at the airport with my name tag. Later upon contact this Lion roar claimed driver was at the airport but I wasn't there.. which is a laughable childish excuse. Got driver from BIA who was same price and had nice car. So can't recommend this site as it's a scam or false advertisement.
