I bought 2 pair of Stegmans in my usual shoe size. (I tend to run a full size smaller in a sandal, so I thought purchasing in my standard shoe size was correct.) NOPE, they were too short and hurt my feet. Unfortunately, Stegman's return policy is quite strict. I was unable to return 2 pairs of expensive shoes and gave them to a friend. Foolish me, I ordered one pair, 1/2 size up as suggested on their website. The shoes are huge, and don't fit. I immediately went to return them only to be charged a $10.00 fee. I'm done with Stegman's, don't waste your time or money.

In less than a year with indoor use for the 5 colder months only, side wall blew a big hole in the wool of 1 shoe. Their customer service was unmoved, although they eventually offered me a discount, which was appreciated, but I'm hesitant to spend anymore money on this product. They also did not post my negative review which makes me suspect the high number of positive reviews on their sight, which is why I purchased the clogs in the first place!

I have worn Stegmann's wool clogs for years. After spine surgery, and resultant nerve damage, shoes were a problem. I found Stegmann's clogs and they were a godsend. I had all different colors and styles and never felt shoe-deprived after I found them. Recently, I needed to replace some worn clogs and ordered the same styles and sizes as before. The new shoes arrived and I thought they must be mis- labeled because they were too small. I contacted customer service and sent a photo of the old shoe next to the new shoe. The soles were an inch shorter on the new shoe. The customer service rep kept saying it couldn't be; her solution was to order the next size up and I wondered if the next size would be too large. I sent an email to the company asking if they had changed sizing. They replied that they had made a correction between size 8 and 9. My shoes are size 10. Today I got two pair of different styles in size 11. The soles are still shorter than my size 10 bought a few years ago. I will have to try to wear them; they are barely long enough for my feet. Stegmann has just done away with two sizes of shoes -- ten and eleven. Because if my size 10 feet can't make it into a size 11, size 11 feet surely won't. If a company decides to change sizing on a product like shoes, put a big warning sticker on your web site telling customers that they have to check and see if they are still customers. And be honest about the changes. That would have saved me a lot of hassle. Stegmann sized me right out of their shoes.
