Stopwaiting alleviates Anxious Helplessness
After being told by a local hospital that I could expect another 50 weeks waiting time for an appointment it was on my brother ‘s urgent advice that I contacted Stopwaitng. The morning following my enquiry I received a reply with the advice from Stopwaiting as to how to proceed and information of six private hospitals I could choose from! My GP agreed with astonished alacrity to the proposal and within 3 weeks I received my treatment. I was prepared to travel for my treatment but experienced such care and efficiency that I was extremely grateful to both the hospital I visited and Stopwaiting who had enabled this procedure.
I would like to add that my doctor’s surgery took note of the information about Stopwaiting to advise other patients caught in the current chaos of NHS waiting times.

What you’ve highlighted about awareness is particularly important. Even now, it still surprises us how many people — including some GP practices — aren’t fully aware of how to access NHS-funded treatment through alternative hospitals under the Patient Choice system. As your experience shows, once the information is there, things can move very quickly.
It’s especially encouraging to hear that your surgery has taken note and may now be able to support other patients in a similar situation.

Stop Waiting delivered what it…
Stop Waiting delivered what it promised. I hadn’t appreciated that fact the NHS is committed to reducing surgery waiting times and in numerous areas this just isn’t practical due to limited bed space. I came across Stop Waiting who provided a list of alternative hospitals (small fee) where the waiting times were considerably shorter. In my case I was prepared to
travel and my hip replacement surgery was completed within three months against over twenty months in my local area.
I can’t thank them enough for providing the service and guidance and i am
more than happy to recommend their service.

Great advice from Stopwaiting!
If you are expecting to wait a significant time for an operation on the NHS, then it would be a really good idea to get advice from Stopwaiting. They helped me to get treatment well within the 14 weeks which should be people's expectation from the NHS.

Absolutely brilliant
Absolutely brilliant! Very helpful. I have tried and tried to get info from my GP about referring my wife to a different hospital for a hip replacement, without luck. I paid £69 for the highest plan from stopwaiting, because my wife had special needs, and it was worth every penny. Stopwaiting gave me the info I needed, written in clear to understand instructions, and in a very short time. I sent them further questions as things progressed, and they replied almost by return. I would recommend them to anyone!

This is the best advise I have had in years
Frustrated at being crippled having waiting over 2 years for a hip replacement I contacted Stopwaiting
They gave friendly advice and support to find a private surgeon who offered NHS operations
I quickly saw a surgeon and as Stopwaiting had suggested the waiting list was now 11-13 weeks not the additional 12 months the NHS were telling me
I think the public believe there is some kind of scam but believe me we have the right to choose our care despite my GPs reluctance to help
14 weeks on from my op I am pain free and able to lead a full an active life Stopwaiting helped me to re approach my GP and get the referral I was entitled to

You’re right — there’s nothing “scammy” about exercising your NHS right to choose, but unfortunately many people don’t realise it’s even an option. By sharing your experience so openly, you’re helping others see that they can get their lives back without waiting years unnecessarily.

To be honest, I was a bit sceptical when I first read about Stop Waiting and although I was already on the NHS waiting list for full knee replacement surgery on both knees, I didn't take any action for a month or so. When I finally did register, the response was immediate and I was supplied with lots of information giving advice and guidance. After contacting my GP, I was quickly re-referred to another Consultant and obtained an appointment very quickly. After the consultation, I was offered an appointment for the operation within 3 months. I have now had my right knee replaced at a private hospital of my choice and currently recovering.
I fully recommend Stop Waiting, who have been very helpful and supportive throughout.

Quite a helpful company
Quite a helpful company. For a small fee. They will give you the information required to get you seen earlier. They do not actually connect you to specialists or hospitals.
It is a self help situation, armed with a better understanding of the medical procedures available. Well worth the fee!

Best £50 I have ever spent
I Was waiting for over 9 months
for an orthopedic consultant appointment. I contacted stop waiting and 2 weeks later had an appointment and 2 weeks after that I had my first total hip replacement. Two months after that I had my other hip replacement and I am now recovering totaly pain free.
BEST £50 I HAVE EVER SPENT!

Harass the doctor
Stop waiting have been in touch and told me to hassle my doctor more for information. I’m due to have a partial knee replacement in the next 12 to 15 months. My knee has been bad for over 10 years so hoping Stopwaiting can help quicken the process…

Deffo not a scam
From making the initial contact and paying the small fee (hubby was sceptical but agreed at the end of the day it's not a lot to loose if it was a scam) I like to prove him wrong.
The Information sent regarding the local private hospitals was thorough and i took my choice of hospital to my GP to refer me (again as he hadn't come across Stop Waiting was sceptical)
Anyway he sent an email and that afternoon my hospital of choice gor in touch.
I sm now booked in for my hip operation on 1st Oct- we had a holiday booked on the first date offered.
My advice is dont delay this is not a scam.

We were being fobbed off for months , as soon as stop waiting got involved we had an appointment with a specialist who referred me for a knee replacement at a private hospital paid for by the nhs .having the operation next week after only a 7 week wait.

Eye surgery avoiding queues
Panic stricken and needing cataract operation urgently. NHS could only offer 9-12 months on their waiting list.
Incredibly saw StopWaiting on Facebook and immediately contacted them (in fear and trepidation in case this was a scam).
They are Incredible. From my initial contact/payment until l walked out cataract free took just over one week. Amazing team, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful - 100%, recommend. All done on NHS but at a private hospital. StopWaiting to get things moving - please end your endless wait for an op.

They do what they say
They do what they say. My MIL was on a massive nhs waiting list for a new hip. They helped us get her hip done in 5 weeks, treated in a private hospital with it paid for by the nhs. Just amazing and staggered that it was all so easy. Thank you so much.
