Easy to set up a private Server, good instructions, and easy to cancel when not needed anymore. Pretty much all you could ask for!

I host a Vintage Story server through Something Unique, and my experience has been excellent.

The owner is very responsive and helpful to requests and maintenance, and is generally available for issues regarding this service.

Personable and very helpful, highly recommend if your hosting Vintage story in particular.

Actually shows their server specs, unlike the countless other hosts who don't. quick and helpful support too.

Been running a Vintage Story server with SUHosting for almost exactly 2 months now.

Started off on the tail-end of their free plan offerings (which, although discontinued, was something I haven't seen before with any other host, except maybe one long ago) before upgrading to an actual paid plan when I realized it would be necessary. It's worth noting that ample notice was given about the free plan cancelation, by the way- I want to make that clear since I saw someone give the service a 1-star review about that.

I found out a week later that we were never moved to our new, paid server like we were supposed to be, but the server provider graciously gave us an entire month of free hosting as an apology for the inconvenience- without me even expressing frustration, mind you.

It experienced some issues with DDOS attacks in the past week, but those were resolved before long and haven't returned. I have enough faith in this host that even after that, I have upgraded my plan to the maximum they offer.

We have people in our server from NA to OC, and for all of them the server lag (client lag is another story, but that's more to do with our mod list) is playable.

Pants, the owner, is very knowledgeable about the game and its community. Very rarely can he not answer a question I have. He is very responsive to tickets or DMs and has never left me hanging more than an hour whenever I report something.

This hosting service is also extremely transparent about what you pay for. When we were sampling other hosting platforms, very few offered up as many details about their specs to the same extent as SUHosting. Their dashboard is also among the best I've used. For someone like me with hosting experience, it's very convenient and useful. For someone without hosting experience I imagine it would be very intuitive. It includes everything I could possibly want or need as a server host, though when configuring additional users to my dashboard it seems a little unreliable with giving those users the correct permissions. Still, this is an issue that I'm sure would be fixed if I addressed it- it was just never important enough to me.

So, while it has some room for improvement, the pros outweigh the cons by far and warrant a full 5-star review in my opinion, at least when it comes to Vintage Story. Only limitation is that their highest tier plan only offers 24 GB, but I'm sure this is flexible on a case by case basis and/or will be expanded as their service grows.

I will certainly be trying them out with other games in the future.

Company was offering a free tier with backups. Server host removed free tier and lost access to all data, made no notice on their website, so data wasn't even able to be moved to a paid tier or downloaded. Lost everything. Still need a server, but I cannot trust the company with any data.

Go with another company this is clearly a basement host of some rentals somewhere.

Fast and friendly service, My friends and I got a game server from them for Satisfactory and it runs flawlessly with no lag. The Dashboard is super easy to use even for novice people who have never used a server provider before.
