I have been banking at Summit Credit Union for 31 years. for the last 10 years, I moved across the county, have opened accounts and gotten a mortgage from other local banks and credit unions, but after all of that, I still use Summit as my primary bank because they are reliable and have outstanding customer service. I was sorry to read about the negative experiences others have had, and while I have not shared those specific struggles, I can tell you that anytime I've ever had any issues, Summit has always done right by me. Whether it be small things like reversing charges or fees and helping me to get the cheese debit card, or bigs deals like helping me cash out bonds or making sure a wire transfer completes successfully when I made a downpayment on my first home, Summit has been there for me, and I cannot recommend them enough.

Over the years I have found their interest rates to be the lowest for loans. When issues arise I have made phone calls and very promptly get to speak to a human. Customer Service is great to work with! Friendly and helpful to resolve my questions/issues.

Absolutely the worst credit union. Run away from them I am closing my account

I wish I could give this bank ZERO stars. My husband has held a business checking account with Summit for just over three years, and everything was fine until about six months ago. Then, we began receiving fraud alerts, with three incidents happening in just the last two months. He never uses that card for any online transactions. The most recent fraudulent charge was a $2,000 purchase on eBay. Despite not approving the transaction when he received the fraud alert text, it was processed anyway, leaving us with a $2,000 charge until the dispute is resolved. Additionally, the phone number on the back of his debit card doesn't work, making it nearly impossible to reach anyone over the phone. So now we have to go to our local branch, again. And get another debit card, again. This is ridiculous. If you’re looking for a bank that keeps your money safe, don’t bank here!

Opened a CD at Summit and twice the account was closed and money missing. Summit admitted they closed first time and took the interest and penalty for closing the account early. Happened again and they took interest and penalty money. No security at Summit, a CD should be a safe investment. Not at Summit.

Always great business! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, no matter what branch you visit or who you talk to over phone or chat. Glad I changed my accounts to Summit.

I would like to send a shout out to Britini L Trevino!! I walked in the bank needing assistance for a wire transfer. Britini got right on it made sure everything lined up!! Great smile and funny thanku Britini for a WOW customer service moment!!!

Several years ago we finally switched from a bank we had been with for over 25 years to Summit Credit Union...we should have done it much sooner! The tellers and customer service representatives are always so pleasant and helpful. It took me a bit to get used to how the account numbers work but I really like that now too. I really love many things about Summit but two really help us budget...being able to split our monthly mortgage payment into two parts and they pay us for being members! You don't get that at any bank!
