Really friendly and helpful. Also quick to get in touch to arrange - quicker than expected as I wasn't expecting a call on a Sunday so that's fab service.

Survey originally booked for 29/12 but did not go ahead until 7/1 delaying our process by 1 week. I chased twice and received no confirmation of receipt of my enquiry or response.

Not much to as yet. In early stages of Level 3 Survey to be agreed by the estate agent and the owner of the property. Mark on the telephone was very nice though.

We booked a survey with them and paid, but the survey was cancelled the next day. I'm assuming that this was because they couldn't find a surveyor in the area (they haven't provided any explanation - only an email telling me about the refund). The money was refunded promptly but they have just wasted my time in pursuing the quote.

Also I found the communication poor - mostly via calls, where a voicemail was rarely left, several instances where I called and held before the call was dropped, and no option to correspond through email. This made the process of accepting the quote cumbersome and time consuming.

Did a quote online on Wednesday evening and by midday Thursday had a call back. Catherine was very helpful and booked everything in straight away.

Put us in touch with a local surveyor who booked the survey quickly and report produced promptly.

They got back to me quickly via email and followed up with a phone call. I had cheaper quotes elsewhere, however Surveyor Local advised could get it done sooner, as I was approaching exchange of contracts I paid the extra. Payment was given upfront, over phone. The surveyor was friendly and the survey itself was fine. However, the surveyor advised on multiple occasions I would receive certain documents or an update on specific dates but was alway later than advised and I had to chase up constantly. I received my survey report later than the 3/5 working days advertised on the website, which was frustrating. I've contacted Surveyor Local on 3 occasions to discuss my experience and how disappointed I've been with the continuous delays throughout the process, they keep saying "someone will contact you later today" and I never hear from them. Not very good customer service, and not recommend if your on a strict time frame.

The response to the initial email enquiry was very quick. A follow-up phone call explained the process carefully and the payment was straightforward.

From the very beginning, Catherine Allen was friendly, personable, patient and was able to explain the services Surveyor Local with complete transparency and confidence. Although we decided not to proceed with Surveyor Local, this had nothing to do with Catherine’s customer service - we were simply offered a better quote elsewhere. I would invite anyone who uses this service to personally request Catherine Allen. When you feel bad for not retaining a service because of the high quality customer service received, it really does say something. Surveyor Local, please keep hold of Catherine - she is a true asset and testament to your company!

A fair price, helpful sounding people on the phone. But payment was expected up front and to be done over the phone. This didn't work. When I asked if there was another way to pay they said the only way was bank transfer! I asked them to email details over and they never did.

I'm glad of it as on reflection I didn't feel comfortable handing over nearly a grand before any work has been carried out or anything even booked in.

Assuming they are genuine because of the positive reviews on here but the inability to take payment properly and the request for the money up front left me feeling reluctant to proceed with them, so we went elsewhere.

Best price and earliest date, Craig was very helpful.

Booked a survey with surveyor local who contracted the survey out to another company. They then supposedly refused to do it at the price agreed and our survey was cancelled. This was frustrating, but even worse was that they neglected to tell us and we found out from our estate agent asking why we had cancelled the survey. Terrible communication would give less than 0 stars if I could.

I was supported by Craig, he was amazing, made me a booking within a timeframe, and quicker than expected.

The service you receive is very professional, polite and efficient. Should your purchase not happen you have the option of another survey for free. Bargain why would you not use Surveyor Local.
