They cold call you for 3rd pillar. They offer two options which have insanely high fees. They target to foreigners who are new to the concept of 3rd pillar, and they try to lure them into a contract with extreme fees. It is basically a scam and I wonder how FINMA is fine with this. They offer "free consultation" which has cost me 10k CHF. It is really frustrating to see how they parasite on someone's hard work.

I was approached on LinkedIn and invited to a free consultation. Before the consultation I provided some requested details, like permit type and marital status, as well as my expectations, e.g. that I am not interested into investing into the 3d pillar and am only willling to have a consultation if there are other investment options that we could look into.
However, the consultation turned out dissapointing. The consultant (Harpreet) was in a hurry to read through his standard script. He didn´t ask me about my goals, or investement experiences. He told me that Swissential specialized in selling 3d pillar incurance for commision and pushed that option very hard. Once I said I wasn´t interested in investing in the 3d pillar, he said that if I didn´t want to use his services, I should still connect with him on LinkedIn and recommend him to all my friends.
Overall the meeting was completely unprofessional, the consultant was rude and pushy and lacked preparation.
I recommend every expat to stay away from this company.

Jeremy Lee is a very experienced professional with deep know-how and experience in the Swiss tax system, the Swiss pension system, retirement planning and long-term wealth management. He is extremely professional and explains complex financial planning matters in very understandable way.

By far the best experience we have ever had as far as 'financial advise' goes. Jonathan was always very transparent from the get go as to how they get remunerated, zero pushiness, and a clear roadmap laid out in terms of what the goal is: to establish a life-long relationship that is beneficial for both sides, with very specific touch points once or twice a year, all customised to the individual situation of the client (and all the relatives in the client's household). Planning is all that matters and it's amazing how often plans needs to be revisited. I cannot recommend Swissential and Jonathan highly enough!
