Swoosh English is the best place to prepare for the OET. Practising with them guarantees success.before joining Swoosh English, I had taking this exam 3 times. I thought I couldn’t archieve the 350 score required for nurses for reading. Reading was my biggest challenge but everything changed when i started practicing with swoosh English. The courses were a game changer couple with the 1 to 1 classes. Is with a joyful heart i say a very big thank you to Alex, Fraser my 1 to 1 teachers and to the entire swoosh team for changing our fears to confidence. I purchased the course,there was a facility in course that you can hold the course when needed,after 2-3 months of use ,I messaged to team for holding the course and when I tried to restart the course,they said it is expired

I had a great experience preparing for the OET with Swoosh English. I had a very short timeline before my exam, but the team worked with my schedule and created a clear, structured study plan that was easy to follow. I recently took the OET and achieved an A (450) in Listening, along with B grades in Reading (430), Speaking (390), and Writing (370).
I couldn't have achieved these results without the support of Swoosh English. Their course provides everything you need to prepare for the OET, including comprehensive study materials, engaging classes, and realistic mock exams.
All of the teachers were excellent, but I would especially like to thank Elsemarie Jensen, who conducted my one-to-one classes. She was incredibly patient, dedicated, and supportive throughout my preparation. She helped me identify the areas I needed to improve and provided clear guidance on how to strengthen them. I enrolled with Swoosh English for OET…
I enrolled with Swoosh English for OET preparation because I was looking for guidance regarding the best pathway for my UKFPO timeline. Before joining, I clearly explained my situation and told them that I only had around one and a half months to prepare. I also specifically asked whether OET or IELTS would be a better option for my circumstances. I was advised that OET was achievable, that many students had successfully cleared it, and that my timeline would be enough if I worked hard and followed the guidance.
I trusted that advice and gave this preparation everything I had. I was studying every single day and putting in my maximum effort. In particular, for the Writing sub-test, I completed around 20 letters and submitted them for feedback. I am a fast learner, but I need proper guidance and consistent mentorship. Despite all the hard work, practice, and feedback, I scored only 350 in Writing. I could not even get close to the 400 mark required, which was extremely disappointing after investing so much time and effort. In my previous attempt, when I had prepared much less, I actually achieved a higher score.
Another major issue I experienced was inconsistency in the writing feedback. Different teachers sometimes gave different advice, and the corrections did not always seem consistent. There were situations where points marked as mistakes in my letters were not corrected in the sample corrected letters provided. This made it confusing to understand exactly what standard I needed to follow for the exam.
I also purchased the 12-month package, but due to my strict timeline, I completed almost everything within one and a half months. After paying for the course, I was told to ask the teachers when I was ready to book the exam. However, I had already explained that my timeline was very limited and that exam booking also requires planning. I feel that my individual circumstances should have been considered more carefully before recommending the pathway and package.
After this experience, I spoke to other students who had struggled with OET but later attempted IELTS and were able to achieve the required scores. This made me feel that IELTS may have been a more suitable option for my UKFPO pathway, especially given my limited time.
I appreciate the efforts of the teachers, but based on my personal experience, I feel that I invested a significant amount of time, money, and effort without achieving the outcome I was working towards. I hope future students receive more personalised and realistic guidance based on their timelines and goals before committing to a course.
I’ve always been a strong learner and good student.I paid for 12 months. In all my classes, I only ever got feedback on my speaking where i got good marks. No one needed to say anything else — i was ready for my reading and listening .But for writing, I went through 53 letters in total and submitted 20 corrected ones. I’ve done all of this in 2 months. After putting in that much work, anyone would reasonably expect good results.

When advising students on whether OET or IELTS may be the better pathway, we always do our best to guide them based on their profession, goals, timeline, and the requirements they need to meet. In the vast majority of cases for healthcare professionals, OET is often the more applicable exam because it is healthcare-specific and designed around clinical communication. Many healthcare professionals also find OET to be a more relevant and achievable route than IELTS, particularly when supported with the right preparation.
That said, no exam pathway can ever be guaranteed, especially when a student is working within a strict timeline. Where a student has a limited preparation window, our usual advice is to work as intensively as possible while also booking the exam only when they feel genuinely ready. If a student’s timeline is very tight, we will always do our best to support them within that period, but the final outcome depends on a range of factors, including starting level, exam performance, consistency, and readiness at the time of sitting.
It is also important to clarify that our teachers advised you that your practice results had not yet demonstrated that you were exam-ready and that you needed more preparation time. Despite this advice, you chose to proceed with the exam because of your personal deadline. While we understand the pressure you were under, Swoosh English cannot reasonably be held responsible for an unsuccessful result when our academic team had advised that you were not yet ready to sit the exam.
We’re proud to be one of the highest-rated OET preparation schools, and we have helped many healthcare professionals successfully achieve the scores they need. However, we also understand that your personal experience has left you feeling that more personalised guidance may have been needed around your UKFPO timeline, your exam choice, and your readiness to book.
We also take your comments about Writing feedback seriously. Consistency in feedback is very important, and we will review this internally to better understand your concerns and whether anything could have been communicated more clearly.

Good experience
I should say though my time with Swoosh was very short( about a month), it was an amazing experience with a such experienced staff. I learnt a lot during such a little time. Especially the speaking part was wonderful with great tips. I would definitely recommend Swoosh to others. By the way I passed the OET exam with a very good grades on my first attempt.
