This company made our safari dreams come true! From the very beginning they helped us plan an itinerary that ticked all the boxes on paper. We were nervous at booking with a company that we had no experience with, but from beginning to end arrangements and communications were perfect. They booked accommodation, guide and vehicle. We had an outstanding guide who took very good care of us, was experienced and tireless in ensuring we saw everything. Particularly enjoyed Arusha National Park and Tarangire which were areas we wouldn't have known to ask for. We saw unbelievable numbers of animals of all sizes and were taken care of from beginning to end. We can't praise this company enough. Oh, and they were far more reasonable cost wise than others.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. He knew where and when to find the best spots for viewing. It was a private tour so we were very comfortable in the jeep, able to move around.

An amazing Safari
We had an 8 day safari and loved everything! Tanzania Specialist bent over backwards to accommodate all our requests. I am a vegetarian and had great meals. Even my packed lunches showed attention to detail.
There is specific instructions to the luggage you are required to bring on safari... but one of the people in my group had immigrated from Tanzanian as a child and was bringing 5 XXL hard sided suit cases full of stuff for her family. Tanzania Specialists kept all our extra luggage at the office for us and delivered it back to us when our safari was done.
Our tour guide was exceptional, he talked with us every evening to go over our next day with us and made any adjustments requested that were within his abilities to do. He was knowledgeable and if he did not know an answer to one of our questions, he would find out the answer and get back to us. We saw the big 5 including 2 white rhinos.
Our accommodations were spectacular. From our first villa to the resorts to the Serengeti Tent Camp. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! If I had one complaint it would be that the beds were hard. But that seemed to be a universal thing in Africa. We spent 10 days in Zanzabar after our safari and the beds there were also hard.
I would recommend Tanzania Specialist to all my friends, and if I ever go back I would not hesitate to book with them again!

Well organized and Great Accommodations
We had a great trip with Tanzania Specialists and I would recommend them to any of my friends. It was well organized, our transfers were there when they were supposed to be, our rooms were just as they were reserved and we were overall very pleased.
I would recommend to anyone coming for safari to bring lots of snacks with them. Sometimes 8 to 10 hours in a safari vehicle in a day and we needed more snacks for our teens. (There are no stores!). The lunchboxes were not always to their taste and didn’t fill them. I do wish we had more food choices at the Serengeti lodge. The lodge was amazing and we loved it. But my teens would have loved a food option geared towards kids.
The Zanzibar accommodations were amazing and food buffets were delicious with lots of choice. Rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was so accommodating in every way.
We had a great trip without hiccups. And that is the most important thing on a big trip like this. We saw the Big 5 and so much more. Amazing memories.

Our African Safari
We worked on booking our trip with Veronica, 2 years in advanced, who was very unorganized and did not book our trip correctly. Two weeks before our trip we were charges an additional $189 per person for a fuel increase. Wrong rooms were booked and one couple didn't even have a room when they arrived. This was among other problems. My daughter had Veronica book her first class airline tickets that got cancelled with Quatar, and they are still waiting for their refund. With that being said our tour guide Omari made our safari an awesome adventure. I would highly recommend him for your guide, but don't let Veronica be your booking agent. All the places we stayed at were very nice and the food was awesome! The people of Africa and Zanzibar were so nice and friendly.

A time to remember
We were met at the airport, staff were wonderful! We added serval to our itinerary, I wish we had stayed closer to that location the first night. The people throughout were all wonderful, food was ok at safari part , wonderful in Zanzibar. There is a lot of driving to different areas. On prior safaris I have stayed at a location near game drive which was a lot less taxing, but all the same we saw amazing things. Do not miss the balloon ride it was amazing. I would have loved to do with a very early morning or night safari to see some hunting , but that was difficult related to the distances needed to be traveled. All in all this was an amazing experience. Our driver was great, we saw the great migration, the big five and many other animals. We were driven to the airport and to the Zanzibar location which was amazing, well needed after the safari! Would recommend doing both. Zanzibar was beautiful! Oh, nearly forgot the tented accommodation was amazing ! Absolutely beautiful. We can’t say enough about all of the people from the hotel staff to Tanzania Specialist! All were absolutely great !

Amazing experiencr
We did a 10-day trip to Tanzania with a 4-day safari at Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire, plus 5 days in Zanzibar. In terms of the safari, we chose which parks we wanted to visit, everything else was organized by Tanzania Specialist and we are incredibly satisfied with how everything went. All the accommodations were excellent, super clean and comfy, generally very good food at the lodges and also the lunch boxes. Of course, all was well paid for, as a safari is certainly not a cheap trip, but still, we were very happy that it all went very well and that's credit to Tanzania Specialist. We stayed at Under the Shade Safari Lodge (Arusha, 2 nights due to arrival time), Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge, Serengeti Queens Camp (2 nights) and Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge.
Our main highlight goes to our safari guide, Teodori, who did an outstanding job. His kindness, knowledge about wildlife, balance between speaking/silence, flexibility to manage time according to our preferences, attempts to drive in less populated park roads, excellent driving both in safari and normal roads all made for an amazing safari experience which we will cherish forever.
We should also highlight that one time at Serengeti, at 6 am there were mechanics doing a precautionary check on our car (called for by our guide after he had heard noises the day before).
Finally, regarding Zanzibar, we preferred to choose the accommodation. Tanzania Specialist organized the flights and the transfers, together with its Zanzibar branch called "Destination Service" (confusing name).
Overall, the transfers were well organized, there was always someone expecting us and the cars were comfortable. Negative review to the fact that there were flights Arusha - Zanzibar at the same time we had to make Arusha - Dar Es Salaam - Zanzibar, which we felt was avoidable and made us lose the opportunity to go to the beach on our first day. Also, the driver that took us from Zanzibar Airport to the hotel drove insanely fast, even in African context. All other drivers from the agency drove well, namely Hamiis and Sule. Sule is great and very amusing!
Also regarding Zanzibar, to future travellers, we recommend low expectations about the Mnemba Island half-day trip consisting of swimming with dolphins and snorkeling. The dolphins part was catastrophic, imagine 20 boats closely surrounding a few dolphins, people jumping towards them to get pictures... The snorkeling part was good, though the area itself is not particularly wonderful.

Top class authentic Safari
Our 8-day safari with Tanzania Specialist through Tanzania (a family of 6 with 3 teenagers) was an unforgettable experience and truly one of the highlights of our travels. Every day brought incredible wildlife sightings, breathtaking landscapes, and memories that will stay with us forever.
The accommodation, organisation, and overall itinerary were excellent, allowing us to experience the beauty and diversity of Tanzania at a relaxed pace. Seeing elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and so many other animals in their natural habitat was simply extraordinary.
The person who made this trip truly exceptional was our guide, Dotto. He was outstanding in every way. His knowledge of the wildlife, birds, and the Tanzanian landscape was remarkable, and he had an amazing ability to spot animals that we would never have seen on our own. He was always patient, friendly, professional, and eager to answer our many questions.
Dotto’s passion for his work was obvious every day. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible wildlife experiences, often positioning the vehicle perfectly for viewing and photographs while always respecting the animals and the environment. His warm personality, sense of humour, and genuine care for our comfort made us feel completely at ease throughout the journey.
We cannot thank Dotto enough for making our safari so special. If you are fortunate enough to have him as your guide, you are in the very best hands.
We would highly recommend this 8-day Tanzania safari to anyone considering a visit. It exceeded all of our expectations, and thanks to Dotto, it became a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that we will treasure forever.

It was a great tour/safari
It was a great tour/safari. My driver Abdullah Hussein was very good, He was knowledgeable and had an eagle eye for spotting all the animals. I got to see everything i wanted. Villa Maua was nice, Victoria in particular was great.
Mawe Mawe was beautiful. its going to be a great hotel. Sidai Serengeti was good too. Just needs better wifi coverage. Maybe a fan for the heat in the rooms. Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge was beautiful. I wish I could have stayed longer. Staff were very nice.
In Zanzibar the hotel Nungwi Dreams by Mantis was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Resty, Latifah, Aika and Neema. The manager Khatibu was amazing and so helpful. I would recommend the safari tour and these hotels.
