Just back from the most memorable holiday ever. I can't imagine another company as professional and competent as Tanzania Specialist, they went over and above what we expected. Everything from the attention to detail, tour guides, accommodation, transfers, staff etc was excellent.

Highly recommended company!!
Firstly Jesca was amazing in helping us tailor our trip and arrange all the bookings and hotels , we changed our minds on a few things and she just was amazing in getting us exactly what we wanted
We arrived at Kilimanjaro and Omani our transfer driver was super amazing in helping us get some clothes in a village as our luggage had been lost
And Riziki was just as amazing at tracking our luggage down and getting it to us 4 hrs away in Karatu just early the next evening
And the main event of course was the safari and we really cannot speak highly enough of Elibariki our driver and guide. Bariki tailored our experience exactly to what we wanted. We were a team to share ideas!
We saw all of the big 5 and Bariki went above and beyond to make sure we got as close as possible to get the best of experiences and the best photos! Bariki taught us many Swahili sayings and words which helped us to really feel part of the community at each of the accommodations where we stayed.
The chosen accomodation was brilliant with amazing customer service.
To top it off when Bariki took us to Arusha airport to catch our flight to Zanzibar we expected that to be the last of our interactions with Tanzania Specialist as we had decided to go alone on the Zanzibar trip but we were met at the airport by another Tanzania Specialist representative who made sure we were through check in and security at the airport before leaving us.
Cannot recommend this company enough!
Initially reserved, we found out Tanzania Specialist are the best company to travel with and their staff speak so highly of them as an employer which goes a long way.

Safari
When it came to game drive, it was very good and we got to see and experience a lot. However, when it came to planning, coordination, and have all the essential of the trip in place, it was mediocre. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Delayed pickup, incorrect room assignment, incorrect flight booking, information coming from two different persons was totally different. Like customer support had no idea was sales rep had promised and it made for a very frustrating experience.

Our family Tanzanian safari and…
Our family Tanzanian safari and Zanzibar trip was in celebration of my 60th birthday in July and I have to say from my initial enquiry to ongoing dialogue via WhatsApp call / message and emails with Katia, our travel consultant, was great as she was very responsive in answering questions and helping to map out our itinerary, including internal flights to Zanzibar!
Our programme, lodges and luxury camp were well thought out with breathtaking locations and excellent food which was plentiful (breakfast, lunch and dinner)!
On pick up at Kilimanjaro Airport, our Safari guide Jocob was so friendly, insightful and looked out for our every need!
Not only did he give us so much interesting information about the history and culture of Tanzania; it’s people, animals, the national parks, conservation areas, etc., he was so good at spotting / seeking out animals during our 4 day safari along with positioning us in great spots to get full view and great picture of the animals and magnificent landscapes!
We were also grateful for the opportunity to visit a Masai village to learn in person about their culture, history and way of life. All of which enriched our whole experience in Tanzania!
We are a family of four (mum, dad and two adult children) who thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tanzania with our guide Jacob who went above and beyond, even seeking out a doctor one morning when I wasn’t feeling my best self!
I highly recommend Tanzania Specialist to anyone seeking a quality private Safari in Tanzania, even Kenya, as my nephew is now liaising with them re his planned Safari to the Masai Mara in March.

We booked last minute and they sorted everything out including a fantastic guide. Very varied levels of accommodation as we wanted. Food at Giraffe Manor was fabulous. All the team working at the various sites were brilliant - coudn't do enough for us. Only slight criticism is that we had an internal flight and the luggage limit is different to international flights so be careful of that. Otherwise our agent was brilliant! Amazing holiday

Dream Family Holiday in Tanzania
We started planning our family trip over a year ago. We wanted to bring our family including eleven individuals across three generations. From the very beginning we were impressed with Joseline’s communication and attention to detail. She responded quickly to any questions or concerns. Every aspect of our trip, from pick up in Arusha to drop off at the airport in Zanzibar, was perfect. Our guides, Simon and Julius, were professional, polite, and knowledgeable. The accommodations and meals at every location were excellent. Our family appreciated seeing the many animals up close. The safari was great!
The safari was amazing, our guide was great! The lodges were wonderful and the staff were friendly. I was slightly disappointed that when we had someone come to sell us excursions in Zanzibar, she told us a price, repeated the price, and then entered in a higher price and was shocked when we noticed and I canceled. Very disappointed with that and though the resort was amazing in Zanzibar, it was disappointing to be so far away from the towns, it was as just too expensive to take a taxi or to book excursions that were cheaper online. However, overall we had a wonderful time.

Trip of a lifetime
The trip was everything we could have asked for and more. Our tour guide 'Millya' was amazing. He was truly passionate in his job and we could tell he loved what he was doing. He was so informative and is truly what made the trip amazing. Seeing the animals is one thing but being able to learn and see it through the eyes of someone who sees this regularly and still is in awe of nature was my favorite part of the trip.

Fabulous safari
We had a fabulous time on safari with our guide Lazaro. We saw so many animals close to our van and easily completed the big 5. Lazaro was knowledgeable about both animals and birds and excellent at spotting animals from far away. We always managed to get a great viewing spot especially for the Wildebeest migration accross the Mara river.
The lodges we stayed in were excellent and exceeded our expectations - spotless with hot showers and WiFi and friendly staff. The food was also delicious and the lodges catered for our dietary requirements amazingly well ( nut free, gluten free and vegetarian.

Once in a Lifetime - do this tour
This was an amazing tour. Our guide was exceptional. All hotels and lodges were fantastic. Well organized. We also spent 4 days at the end of the tour in Zanzibar. The only downside was the resort was a long way from a city. So only organized tours could be purchased to leave the resort to see more of the Island. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place to relax.

Very experience guide
Very experience guide, it was great to have Frank as our guide, a réal magicien in finding the animals
and good travel organisation as well as the accommodations
We were a little disapointed with the sound of silence lodge as we had unfinished tents smelling of paint and not cleaned up on the second night
We booked an activity per mail on our last day which was great but curiosly the Price on the Tanzania Specialist app was much lower quoted as we paied. No explication given and I asked a few times.
Otherwise everything was great and we were very happy and hope we can come back again

At the same time, we sincerely apologize that your stay at Sound of Silence Lodge did not meet your expectations. We regret that your tent was not fully finished and that it was not properly cleaned on the second night. This is certainly not the standard we expect from our accommodation partners, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
We also apologize for the confusion regarding the price of the additional activity booked before your departure. We understand how frustrating it is not to receive a clear explanation, and we appreciate your feedback. We will review this internally to better understand what happened and improve our communication in such situations.
