Took 1 lesson only and....
Took 1 lesson (went well) and decided to reach out to cancel since I had unexpected priorities arise now. (I believe it was first lesson free and you got 3 or 4 additional lesson) for around $370 or something. I cancelled after the 24 hours which I know is beyond their cancellation policy but I had some unexpected things come up so this was not planned.
I offer to even pay for the first lesson and just asked for a refund of the rest and they would not budge or work with me. I do not plan to use the rest of the other lesson so the credit situation doesn't work for me as again I had another financial priories comes up now unexpectedly. I find it hard to believe that they would not refund me for service I do not plan on receiving anymore with even the offer to pay for the 1st lesson. Where is the customer service or even being reasonable in a situation like this? Seems like a greedy business that doesn't care at the end of the day and wouldn't even work out an agreement. Even in their policy it says "typically" so it's not clear cut that you would not get a refund. Will not use in the future and will spread the word around about my situation. Very unfortunate that I will not get my money back for only 1 lesson

Five stars! The platform is incredibly user-friendly and offers great flexibility, allowing me to choose the exact lessons I want based on my own schedule and goals. I can tell you from being a coach with this company. They are the most mismanaged unprofessional individuals I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. I can promise you that as a student you will be undercut and under taught for over the price. The metrics they used to keep coaches only insist that they try to get another lesson, but not teach and help each individual student improve. I would stay away from this company at all cost.

The support staff are absolutely amazing!! Very polite, professional and accommodating.
The booking system is okay. It does help when you pick a coach who is very prompt and quick to reply.

These guys run a sham of a business. I scheduled a tennis lesson, rain was coming so my coach and I agreed to reschedule. But they still charged me and would not refund me. My coach agreed we should find another time but they would not give me my money back!

This place is the biggest dumpster
This place is the biggest dumpster and sets unrealistic goals of modern slavery : they can actually suspend you for not retaining your students which of course that is something you have no control over but only God does. They are the worst in the way they do business ; they send you potential students outside your area many of whom do not know that it is impossible to do a class in the city without reservation a week in advance .And they won't allow you to communicate with the students in advance like other apps to explain the logistics, nor do they know how to do it themselves. Their method is completely ineffective and useless and fruitless

incredible staff
I have found the teachMe staff to be incredibly helpful, professional, and always seem to care about my success. I love the app to keep track of my lessons, moneys and billing. My customer service individual is a 10. The only thing I will mention is I love to Coach so much I wish they kept feeding me more often but every student I’ve had from them has been some of my favorite of all time.
Risk of scams and being robbed
TL;DR: Do not use. High risk of scams and being robbed.

1st- It is a scam and not that I just feel like scammed.
2nd- You are repeating what I've said by mentioning the terms and proving my point of robbing. It the about the intention and way of charging people without their willingness and not correcting it when you have the chance to do so. There was no notification whatsoever that it is about to charge me and the app is designed in a way to mislead and keep money like this. All other services and companies send notifications, and even after that refund in case of auto subscriptions.
3r: the app absolutely gives no option to change a screen without rating. That rating could be easily sent by mistake. Again, I searched for a licensed professional, the active certifications of the coaches should be provided on the app. Tranfering credit to another coach was not allowed in the app. So, I had made up my mind on that and didn't even ask to refund the 1st set of 4 lessons. Please note the coach is not at fault here, it's the company.
4th: This is an opportunity for you to take feedback and make changes to the app and to stop charging people who do not intend on paying and resolve customer issues. Instead, your reply putting it all on the terms shows how the company is being dismissive and intends to continue its stealing practices.

Not all the coaches are certified even if the search filter says so. In that sense, it is a scam. Due to this I decided to not use my lessons that I had paid for. However, they charged me for another package. As soon as I realized, I asked them to refund explaining that I'm not going to continue lessons, they said they can't refund once its charged. Now that's a nice way to steal from people. Customer friendly and reliable companies that are confident about their services and value they provide are able to refund inspite of what terms say if its within a few days.
Clearly, teachme knows they have to rely on stealing and keeping people's money. That says about their confidence in their own services.
I have a significantly large group of people who I could have provided positive reviews but now its going to be very different. They lost many potential customers. I still believe they would be good for a while with the stolen money.
They talked about the terms, updated in April 2026, (not sure how often they keep updating that) about refund. I would like to know what about my several hours that I wasted receiving incorrect instructions and had to spend resources to correct that elsewhere. Ofcourse, there is nothing in the terms for that! And I'm not even asking any compensation or the remaining balance from the first package I paid for.

Billing is a scam
The coaching is fine, but the billing is a scam. I signed up for a free lesson to look into the service, but upon completion of the lesson, all of the subscription prices were way overcharged. I immediately cancelled within the 24 hour time frame, I even received confirmation of cancellation from someone on their "team" but I was still billed. It just takes extra effort to cancel via my credit card.
