After calling countless driving schools and being told they cannot be booked for just the driving test, even though he has had a non UK driving licence for 15+ years, I found Test Car 1. Test Car 1 are easy to book with a very straightforward website. They text you to confirm once the deposit is paid and then keep in contact to make sure the driver has contacted you. They even send you helpful information to pass the test.
The driving instructor was superb. Her car was in impeccable condition. We were worried that because he was already an experienced driver, with bad habits, he might miss some of the test requirements.
The 1 hour lesson prior to the test and her advice was very helpful. All concerns were gone. He passed his test with not even a minor fault.

Swindlers company!!! I’ve needed a car for Driving test. I hired the car in Test Car 1. They provided the car one hour before the test to let me to adapt to the car. We had drove through the city and in 10 minutes before the test the driver told me that I’m not ready for the test. I tried to argue saying that only the examiner can make the decision whether I’m ready or not but she forced me to leave the car and went away.
As a result, I lost £155 (payment for the car) + £62 (payment for the exam).
By the way. I have professional driving license (non UK) and more than 25 years of driving experience with no one accident and just 2 fines for the period. If they think that I can’t drive, all of them are not able to drive at all.
I’ve gotten impression that the main target of the thieves is to force me to pay for their lessons. I needed for a car for the exam only. I don’t need to know their opinion about my driving abilities. They are real swindlers!!!

The service works. I managed to find a car with a great instructor 2 days before the test. Communication was instant.

It’s been extremely difficult to get a driving test (no thanks to Coronavirus), was lucky to get one booked after a cancellation, it was 4 days notice and I needed to book an instructor immediately. It took me few minutes to google Test Car 1 and was surprised how easy it was to book a car and an instructor. Terry was assigned to me, was early, knew the route at Banbury and gave me couple of tips to improve on my test. I passed and am grateful for their services. Would definitely recommend their services 100%.
