Unprofessional
Really weird and unprofessional behavior when I tried to get off their text list after booking a different service. I texted “STOP” which is standard to remove from lists, which was the only time I reached out besides the initial form, and they wrote back: “ Stop you contacting us?
That's easy we can block you and send your number to 35 thousand instructors?
Consider it done.” I have the screenshot of this.
Recommend looking at other providers who have a more professional manner with leads that don’t purchase.
Edit: I think their unhinged reply to this only makes it more obvious that my report is genuine. And again-they flagged me to TP as “fake review” multiple times and I submitted a screenshot showing they really said this which TP reviewed and therefore left up.

4% negative reviews.
3% of the negative reviews are fake and / or written by competitors or their associates.
1% of negative reviews are completely genuine. We accept this and are doing everything we can to protect our 20+ year business.
It’s a shame this website can come along with no knowledge at all, but finds a gap in the market that can start damaging peoples reputation and businesses overnight with no knowledge whatsoever, reviews on this website can be displayed by anyone even with a fake email address and if you look at this website reviews themselves They in fact have more bad reviews than any other website.
Our closing statement is that this particular website or platform is currently being investigated by the CMA for mis- conduct, to anyone that doesn’t understand this and many people don’t, this means they are creating a unnecessary competition between businesses for their own financial & gain ultimately create harm and loss for all businesses listed on this website.
Lastly please do not forget that businesses on here Do Not put themselves on this website. Anyone can put any website on this site without even leaving a review. Big shout outs to Andreas
Every large business that covers this much ground will have many reviews ranging from positive to negative, each customer will have their own experience
I was sceptical like a lot of folk here but I can honestly say that Andreas, and by extension Test Car 1 can be trusted to honour their promise of delivering a car for your test. They really try their best and I've been in contact with them at times in the early morning and late evening owing to how busy the situation is currently.
Very good communication, understanding of different situations and take their reputation seriously. Just remember to be mindful of the ongoing backlog of tests as well as lessons, which causing a huge bottleneck for everyone.
Highly recommended +++ if you're in a pinch, be sure speak to someone on the phone while communicating with them and you'll definitely get all the information you need to reassure you.
Good luck on your test everyone !
Also cross posted this on Google because I feel it will be genuinely helpful to anyone that's feeling apprehensive about using this service.

The customer service is good, BUT the car was dirty, this was the most dirty car I ever met, I have to help clean wing mirrors. The lady instructor, she kept blaming me nearly for 1 hour, she blamed me 10 things but only 2 things were correct and no solutions to solve it, others were useless so she wasted my time. I got some bad reviews in the beginning so….To be honest I thought it was a scam. But i was wrong. Test car 1 is REAL and number 1. They helped me to Get the license on the first attempt. Good instructor good service. Really reliable for the short notice driving test. Thanks Test Car 1

How To Lose Customers and Alienate People in Two Simple Steps
I needed a car for a driving test at the very last minute so called and emailed this company and asked them to call me back. If I am going to pay them a premium rate to hire a car, the very least I need is to know what car is being offered. As I driving instructor, you think that they would understand that the type of car may be important to potential customers.
The website is very basic and does not provide much assurance regarding the standard of service on offer. I also noticed that other Trustpilot reviews complained that they did not get a full refund when the car hire did not take place which was also something that concerned me and reinforced why I needed to talk to someone before parting with any money.
I did not receive a call back but about half an hour after I called I received the following text;
"Hi, if you have spammed more than 5
People we will immediately cancel your booking. "
Then shortly after I received the following email:
"Unfortunately you have messaged us more than an hour ago, and during this time we believe that you have probably spammed around 10 to 15 other people. Therefore we are not willing to help you and any bookings you make via our website will be cancelled immediately minus admin fees"
I'm so glad I did not use this company. They simply have no idea how to behave to customers. When you consider that the customers calling them are often in a desperate situation, these messages speak volumes about the type of people you are dealing with. Give this lot a massive swerve.
20 Dec 23 Update - Test Car 1 contacted Trustpilot to get this review removed by claiming it was for the wrong company. For the avoidance of doubt, my review was 100% for this company.
15 March 2025 Update - I note that Test Car 1 have responded now claiming that some of the reviews are fake. I would urge anybody considering using this company to take a good look at the reviews and judge for yourself. When you conduct business in such a reprehensible manner, expect people to be unhappy and voice their displeasure.

Was a great service
Was a great service. I booked about 36 hrs before my test and they found me a great driver. Met up an hour before the test for a little practice and some great tips. The car was easy to drive and we went through where everything was beforehand. My instructor was very kind and congratulated me thoroughly when I passed. Would recommend!
