I have serious misgivings about The Centre for Healing. I recently received a session of Root Cause Therapy (RCT) and, whilst the practitioner was lovely and I felt relaxed in their presence, the process itself left me feeling anxious and confused at the end and in the days and weeks afterwards. RCT uses a hash up of various concepts like kinesiology, regression therapy, hypnosis in order to apparently remove subconscious beliefs that are holding us back in our lives. In a few sessions and after spending a fair whack of money you can be 'healed' of your underlying limiting beliefs and insecurities and then you're basically sorted, never to have problems again...like it can be that easy!

Some of the methods used like the Sway test from Kinesiology are highly dubious and have no research backed evidence base. The idea that you can work out a persons underlying beliefs based on whether their body sways forwards and backwards is not solid - how can you be sure the client is not influencing the result based on what they want to believe. The whole process set alarm bells ringing for me.

I have no doubt that these methods may work for some people and that there are good intentions behind what is offered, but healing trauma is a very delicate area and needs to be treated as such by professionals who have spent YEARS studying themselves and also taking long training courses lasting at least 3 years in order to help others...in my view it is not and should not be something done over a few online videos!

The Root Cause Therapy training and certification process has been life changing for me.
RCT is the key to emotional freedom and combined with somatic modalities leads the way for nervous system and emotional release.
The training was thorough and certification process rigorous. Melissa Hiemann is a great teacher and the course is easy to follow.
Doing the practice itself and receiving sessions is the real gold though. It's there that the deep understanding of just how extraordinary technique RCT offers.
I hope everyone has access to this powerful healing modality in their lifetime and look forward to sharing it in combination with my EFT processes on beautiful Waiheke Island, New Zealand.

The Centre for Healing runs fantastic courses. Root cause therapy is my second training with them. They provide videos handouts and all the support needed to be able to become a professional practitioner.The information is clear and concise.

I enrolled in the Trauma Informed Coaching certificate, expecting either poor quality information or an agenda. It was such a wonderful gift to discover instead, an evidence based, balanced and high quality overview of something that is so important for us all, if we are to grow healthily as individuals and as a culture.

The course results in a certificate, so it's useful as professional development if you're in the human services space. I think my only caveat is that because it is named "trauma informed coaching", some people may take that as an actual coaching or counselling qualification. It's not (and I don't believe it's intended to be) - however what it IS, is a clear and comprehensive introduction to current, evidenced based understanding of trauma and its impact on our experience. Something that is sorely needed, and I'd encourage anyone interested in self-development or who works with people to take a look at it.

What a fantastic introduction course prior to undertaking the "Trauma Informed Coaching Certificate" course. Easy to work through, with great online videos.

I am so impressed by everything the Centre for Healing has created. I have a background in Psychology, and I think the system is failing us. Adding these modalities to your toolbox will greatly improve results with your clients. You will go right to the 'root cause' of the issues, releasing deeply stored emotions, and giving your clients an opportunity to explore their authentic selves, without the shackles of their past. I've been a client of MATT KAY for over a year now. I completed a mentorship program and received many EP sessions. I can't begin to tell you how his pure presence and attunement helped my dysregulated nervous system become more and more regulated. I was able experience being the witness and moments of pure peace for the first time in my life. He provides you with many resources to do outside of sessions. His knowledge and understanding with no judgement makes you feel safe. Would recommend anyone looking to dive into healing and transforming their trauma reach out to him.
