After being put off a brick extension by soaring costs, a solid roof conversion seemed like an excellent alternative, at a more affordable price.
The original company went bust, however, we found The Conservatory Roof Guys, who took over the existing specifications and worked with us to improve it!
There were several aspects to the build (New solid Icotherm roof, SIP panels and new glazing.) Ben, Andy and Nigel were knowledgeable, friendly, and worked tirelessly to complete the work on time.
The finished product is amazing – light, ventilated and warm. We now have an all year round, living space!
If you are looking to transform your existing conservatory or create a new space, we would definitely recommend the Conservatory Roof Guys.

Our former conservatory was already open to the kitchen and was our main dining area. While it was well constructed it was cold in winter and very hot in summer, which made it pretty uncomfortable. We were also losing a lot of heat from the house through the glass roof. When we found out about warm replacement roofs for conservatories we were very keen!

Like one of the other reviewers we had contracted a different company to replace the roof, but they collapsed before doing the work. We still very much wanted to replace the roof however. We were lucky enough to find Ben, Andy and Nigel to do the work instead. The whole process has only taken a matter of weeks, from survey to the completed roof. Ben has excellent communication skills, and kept us up to date in the lead up to the installation. The team arrived on time as promised (as did the icotherm roof) and the old roof was off and the new roof to a waterproof standard was on in the first day. The roof appears to be well designed and constructed, with plenty of insulation and ventilation. The very detailed survey meant that the prefabricated roof sections fitted our slightly odd shaped roof well. Any adaptations were carried out skilfully by the Conservatory Guys.

The guys were professional, skilled and courteous at all times. After five days on-site we have an amazing new roof, with the ceiling fully plastered and painted, and spotlights fitted inside and out. The space is warm and still very light. We now have a lovely kitchen extension, and can reclaim a small rarely used dining room for other purposes! We are delighted and would certainly recommend the Conservatory Guys.

We initially had a replacement conservatory roof booked in with a local firm who went insolvent just before they were due to install our new solid roof. Fortunately, just at the right time we discovered The Conservatory Roof Guys. Ben with his team Nigel and Andy came to the rescue, and within days we had a survey booked in and a date in the diary for the install within a matter of weeks. The whole install took around 4-5 days in total, with the old roof being removed and basic structure of the new roof fitted within a day.

The materials and design of the Icotherm roof are far superior to other products on the market, which seemed inferior and extortionately priced for what they are. Our new Icotherm roof went in perfectly on day one, and the team installed a really decent amount of insulation, with a perfectly matching tile to our existing roof. They also went to the effort of adding all the finishing touches to our new roof, including dimmable down lights in the external soffits and internal ceiling structure, and a smooth plastered painted finish to the the ceiling. The team we felt went above and beyond and were incredibly courteous and tidy throughout the install and kept us up to date thoughout the pre-install process. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

What we have now is a perfect room which now makes our living space usable all year around. Currently it is February and there has been a thick frost most mornings. It is a relief that we can keep our internal doors open to the main house, and not worry about heat loss throughout the middle of winter. We will also look forward to summer as it will keep the house cool.

Quality work from a local company. Our rather shabby conservatory roof has gone - replaced by an amazing tiled roof with insulation and a proper ceiling. The down lighters inside and out are just right. Ben, Nigel and Andy have exceptional customer skills and their workmanship is fabulous. We now have a lovely extension to our home that won’t be boiling in the Summer and like a freezer in the Winter! They gave us the options we could choose from and advised us what would be best for our pitch of roof. Everything was cleared away after they had finished and they checked to make sure we were happy. Attaching a new sloping roof to the existing flat roof required a bespoke one off job that was no problem for these guys. They really know their stuff and it was completed and tidied up within 4 days.
We would recommend them to anybody as a firm who can be trusted to give a first class service.

Ben, Nigel and Andy have recently completed our conservatory roof replacement and we couldn't be happier. From the initial contact with Nigel and the first meeting with Ben they made us feel at ease. Ben took the time to explain everything to us in full detail and had great knowledge and passion for his work. He even went the extra mile and took us on a visit to a previous customer which confirmed the standard of their workmanship. On the job, the team were hard-working and polite and made sure that we were kept updated with daily progress with photos and phone calls. We spoke to Ben from The Conservatory Roof Guys after we had received a couple of quotes from other local companies. It was obvious from the get go that Ben’s knowledge of what the job required was superior to the other companies we had visit. He also did not try to push us across the line but instead insisted on showing us other work they had done in the area. The other companies just showed me a tile sample or some stock images off the internet.
When it came to the installation they turned up on time and had the old roof off and the new roof on by the time we had come back from our day out. Every day they tidied all their tools away and kept the back garden tidy.
The guys completed the electrics, plastering and painted it for us meaning we just had to move back in. We feel like we got an extension in a week and the guys made it as painless as possible.

The team have turned our once unused conservatory into the most frequented room in the house. It feels like we have had a brand new extension built.

Ben and Nigel showed us different designs we could have and how he could line the glass in the roof up with the kitchen and living room to allow plenty of light in as we were concerned it may make things dark. It honestly seems brighter than it ever has.

Little things like them putting the lights on the dimmer as a last minute request really made the whole experience really pleasant.

The Conservatory Roof Guys did an excellent job transforming our conservatory with a completely new warm roof. Ben and the team were very professional from the initial survey, ensuring we had a weathertight roof at the end of the first day, and though to completing their final snagging to achieve a high quality finish. The conservatory has been significantly cooler during the recent heatwave with the new roof compared to earlier in the summer. We are very pleased with the end result and would certainly recommend the guys, who were very patient with our young kids who had many, many questions about the work!

Affordable price, I've heard of other people paying four times as much. Solved our leaking roof problems. Does what it says, cooler in summer and holds the heat in winter, you should see the thickness of the insulation. The guys were brilliant caring in every way, made the experience a pleasure. Completed in less than a week. Came back at the drop of a hat if we had any problem.
