DO NOT ENGAGE

I read the negative reviews and thought it wouldn’t happen to me—but it did. I was offered a “complete” revamp and new look for my site for $150+ tax. I gave the developer creative freedom, only mentioning two specific things I wanted changed.
What I received after a week was not a new site, but 5 screenshots of my existing site with only very small tweaks—like slightly curved images or moved pictures. I was surprised this was presented as a “revamp.”
When the developer did apply one of my requested changes, the desktop version looked fine but the mobile version was broken. When I asked for it to be fixed, I was told it would cost extra. From my perspective, a proper web redesign should always include both desktop and mobile versions, not require additional payment.
After I expressed my frustration and loss of confidence and trust, the company later contacted me offering to fix the mobile version “free of charge.” When I declined, I was told they would involve their legal team.
This was my experience, and I want others to be aware before making a decision.

I'm so glad I found The Design Empire!

I was totally overwhelmed trying to get my website up and running, but they made the whole process feel easy. They really listened to what I wanted and the final site is just gorgeous. The team was super friendly and always quick to answer my questions. Highly recommend them!

Terrific team of design, customer service and implementation!

I had a very good experience

I had a very good experience. Lori Kay was great. She was really patient with me and my lack of computer skills. Even making me a tutorial to help me with future editing of my site.

Lori was very pleasant to deal with, and willing to change things as often as requested.

Another great thing about Lori is that she was easy to get in touch with. She often answered her phone and if I left a message or email she got back to me right away.

Patience

Initially I felt frustrated that we were not communicating well with each other. I would have liked to have had a way to draw my edits onto the design when we seemed to have gotten stalled. Showing vs talking about it works better for me. However; Lori was very patient with me and we spent nearly a month editing and changing the design.
