This process is extremely disappointing.
I explained in detail my slightly unconventional requirement to the person who quoted me over the phone. Although slightly unconventional, the request shouldn't have been completely abnormal as such scenarios would have been seen by experienced firms before.
I didn't realise or nor was I informed that my cases would be farmed out to various solicitor firms.
However, post the call I received numerous emails (probably 12) regarding the cases. I didn't count and I didn't get a chance to read any of them because as soon as the emails came through I was called by someone to go through to the confirmation and payment stage. Again I reiterated the cases and queried if my requirements were achievable with them.
During the payment process some discounts were given but them post purchase I was informed that there was a mistake made and I had to pay more money. At the time I thought that this was a genuine mistake, now though, I'm not so sure.
Post payment I started receiving emails from various solicitors, I was expecting one solicitor for all cases. The first solicitor that contacted was unable to process my case in its entirety even though I had previously stressed on more than one occasion the case and that other firms have not been able to process for this very reason.
It was at that point I decided this is not for me and decided to cancel.
My cancellation was performed without much hassle, however when I received the cancellation/refund emails they had included various charges which meant that I would only be refunded roughly half of what I paid.
At no point was the cancellation process explained to me on any of the calls including the cancellation call. The service given to that point was minimal and incorrect so I challenged it.
After a couple of days worth of back and forth I spoke to someone in the client support team who said they'd look in to this.after a day or so they sent me exactly the same email as I had received previously. Then throughout the rest of the week there were countless conversations re the status of my full refund but there was clearly no action taken and various reasons given for why there was a delay including listening to phone calls which I encouraged.
By the end of around the 9th or 10th day I was informed that this is now with a Director and they'd be in contact shortly.
I questioned shortly but what is clear is that for them is that shortly
Is longer than 2 days as I'm still waiting and we are now on day 14
I have not been given any contact info for the director and am it seems I am supposed to wait for them to call. I feel like I have been put in a continuous holding pattern!
The company has over £400 of my money and I feel like I have been sent on a wild goose chase.
Avoid!!!
In the initial review I wrote some weeks ago, I was pretty happy with this service. Turns out they do not really keep their promises, tried to contact them many times, but no one ever bother to respond. They only email you when they need their fees!
Poor communication - ignore emails constantly. False promises.
