At your own pace, in your own time
Enrolled in the certificate course I can’t recommend the photography institute enough. I love the self paced style, as I have family commitments and completing a structured course would have been impossible at the moment. My tutor Justin is fantastic, giving me prompt feedback and advice. The only thing I would recommend is the ability to provide further photos to receive feedback. If you’re thinking about doing a photography course and like me time is valuable, this course is for you!.

My experience has been very positive, and I have learned a lot. The course is great because you can learn at your own pace, and the tutor is always available whenever you need help. I would recommend this course to beginners, hobbyists, and even semi-professionals. The course is well thought out, and it is definitely worth taking.

So far I’m loving the course
I’m almost half way through the course and have learned so much. I had previously tried to learn photography through YouTube but just could never get it to gel. The course allows you to work through your learning methodically, which has helped me to develop a strong foundation of knowledge.

They are so helpful and knowledgeable about photography that I am learning a lot from their modules. Whenever I have a question, I receive a reply within a couple of days. Assignments are graded fairly quickly with very helpful feedback! I would definitely recommend them!

Good material and great tutor support…
The PI provides very good technical material and quick, effective useful feedback by the tutor. The explanations are detailed and specific. The website is user friendly. Assignments really help to learn. I highly recommend the course which is affordable for such good results. However, the advanced modes are slightly expensive.

Comprehensive and accessible study
The course covers all aspects of professional photography in depth but in an easy-to-read and digest format with concepts clearly explained. This Incredible course has helped me learn from the ground up. It focuses on the right things to get your fundamentals right and then equips you with the skills to not just be a good photographer, but also turn photography into a career. The study material is pretty comprehensive, some links are not up to date but there are a lot of ideas and directions included which make the course very interesting and challenging.

Very thorough and I am learning alot
I signed up for the course as I wanted to improve my photography. I am only at Module 5, but so far it has been very thorough and exceeded my expectations as I am learning a lot more about different types of lighting and styles. I really enjoy the practical exercises which compliment the reading. The instructor has been very helpful and reponsive and provided me with hints and tips. I am looking forward to completing the course and doing some electives.

My experience with the Pi Photography Institute
What makes my experience with the Pi Photography Institute great is first their courses. You can study at your own pace, so if you don't have a lot of time you can still complete the course. Additionally theie courses cover so much and I have learned so much valuable information that I will never forget.Second is the fast and helpful response to any questions I have and my assignment marks is quick as well. I am enjoying my learning at the Pi Photography Institute and usually can't wait to start my next module.

I am thrilled to write this review for the Photography Institute. I graduated in 2023 with the Diploma of Professional Photography and immediately followed up with the Advanced Module in Perfect Portraiture. I am now actively applying the knowledge and skills I gained, and it has genuinely elevated my career prospects.
The core Professional Photography Diploma provided an incredibly solid foundation, covering everything from technical skills to business essentials. The course structure was flexible, allowing me to study at my own pace, which was essential given my busy schedule. The module content was engaging and the assignments were challenging yet rewarding.
The Perfect Portraiture Advanced Module, which I completed in May 2025, was the ideal next step for me.
