I am really pleased that I decided to join the school of photography. I have learned so much on the beginners photography course that I didn’t know before. The course is well structured, well taught and Marc’s easy to follow tuition is excellent. I used to think that I would never get off auto mode but I never go near it now. Well done. 👍

It's great for a beginner and the tutorials are easy to understand, but there is one major downside, if you forget to unsubscribe for a long time it becomes extremely expensive and when you cancel you loose access to everything you've paid for.
There's definitely much better options out there.

I joined TSOP when I was still relatively new to photography and I wanted to learn many things - general photographic techniques, specific types of photography, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc. The range of courses was ideal and I was not disappointed. Marc is a brilliant teacher and I have learned so much and now feel much more confident and able to take on all sorts of projects.

I have been a member of TSOP for several years now, and am continually learning from Marc and the team. I have just completed Jack Lodge Photography’s forest photography course. All of the TSOP courses are really good, and this one does not disappoint. Jack's enthusiasm comes across in spades. I have learnt so much from this course that is applicable to other genres as well. Thoroughly recommended for anyone not taken it yet.

I have taken the Beginners and Lightroom courses. The Beginners course was more of a review because I had taken a similar course earlier this year, but I found it very helpful in reinforcing what I had learned and filling in some gaps. My real aim was to get up to speed on Lightroom and I found that course very helpful and have been actively applying what I learned from it in processing photos from two week long photo trips since taking it. I have referred back to the PDF course notes several times. I plan to take the astro, long exposure, forest, wildlife, and landscape photography courses over time. What I like about the courses are that they progress a good pace and are easy to follow without having to stop/rewind/restart at all, which is often an issue with YouTube videos and such. The courses have been thorough without being tedious. There is plenty of opportunity for hands on practice.

I am immensely grateful for what I have learned from TSOP. I had my membership for 3 years now and started with a semi-pro camera and thought that the pro mode on my phone was too complex.
I now can shoot almost any kind of shot and know so much.

I have thoroughly enjoyed and learned so much with my TSOP membership. The courses are fantastic, well done and easy to follow. The FB community and assignments are great and supportive. I recommend TSOP to anyone who wants to learn photography as its a fantastic value and great resource.

I have recently got into Photography I did watch a lot of you tube videos and eventually I came across The School of Photography. I sighed up for the beginner’s photography course and have found this very helpful and fun at the same time. I’m not the sort of person who can sit down and read instructions, so this course is so helpful I can’t fault anything about The School of Photography the lessons a spot on Marc puts everything in simple terms and easy to follow ( Even if I can’t get it right 😊😊😊that’s just me ) Any questions asked are replied promptly by email or even by phone I would recommend this school to anyone who is starting out on the road to Photography

I have to say I’m more than happy to have found The School of Photography. I’ve been a pro photographer for 14 years and have become an expert in a few areas. This means there are many areas I am NOT an expert at. I’m lucky that my business pays just about enough to pay the bills and have some fun along the way. However, I had lost the fun element of photography, part of that for me is learning new skills in new areas. Then I discovered The School of Photography. I’ve just scratched the surface but I have already found new skills starting with Macro photography. There are many other courses I want to delve into and will over time. If they are all as good as the Macro course then I will be incredibly happy.

Apart from learning new skills, I enjoy the community spirit of The School of Photography. I love posting pictures and getting feedback. I particularly like that you can post pleasing pictures knowing they are not technically spot on but are nice to share. I also enjoy posting a picture and asking for CC, you receive good and honest CC from experts and anyone who feels they have something to offer.

Another great part of the The School of Photography is the monthly challenge. It’s a great way of improving skills and sharing with a friendly bunch of like-minded photographers.

I have had an interest in photography going back to the days of film early to mid 70s but i never did anything about it, their was no internet back then, so move forward quite a few decades and my interest grew again.

When i bought my first DSLR like most i guess i learned a few things on Youtube but i was never convinced it was the way to learn, i joined an internet company which won't be named, everything was great to start i learned the basics and a lot more but for reasons that still escape me they messed with my mental health for a long time, it destroyed my confidence for a few yrs, so i began to look at other companies and came across "The School Of Photography" it is the best thing that has happened to me photography wise and the best decision ever to join them Marc Newton is a great photography tutor and he simplifies things so that everyone can understand and all the courses included in membership are excellent to.

To sum up anyone who wants to take great photo's and no matter your level don't think twice join TSOP you certainly wont regret it as it's good value for money and you learn the correct way and you will see how your photography improves, their is also a monthly assignment designed to improve you on each subject which is fun to enter with a possible prize at the end, I've been a member now over 3 yrs and know they are the best on the Internet for value and experienced teaching.

I loved the school of photography and all that I got to learn from it in my journey as a photographer. I’ve been able to follow along the different courses and exchange with the community.

I’ll keep recommending it to the community of starting photographers looking to learn the basics cause I believe that Marc is amazing at making things complicated look easy!

I'm so glad I've been able to return to TSOP after having to take some time out for 1001 reasons. The content is second to none.

TSOP works incredibly well for photographers at all stages of their photography journey and is presented clearly.

The friendliness of the whole community also shines out.

I started just to renew a passion for photography, now it is so much more!. I have to start carrying my camera everywhere because I see something to shoot everywhere I go. I love the breakdown into different genres of photography. I can study and learn specifics on areas that truly interest me, not just portraits. I love the experts that tell you how to take successful pictures. My photos have never looked better! I even had people ask to buy them! I love it all! So far, my favorite expert is the wildlife expert Andy Rouse. He was so engaging and fun to watch. My backyard has come to life like never before!

I have been a photographer for may years and have had photoshop on my computer since its inception.
Saying I have photoshop on my computer is a bit like those who have a gym membership but never go.

I could do the basics but everything else was in the too hard basket...Until now that is.

I can't tell you how much I love bringing my images to life in Lightroom and photoshop processing thanks to Marc Newton's excellent instruction 🙂

Wow the astrophotography course is so good. Cuts through all the confusion and gets right to it. Fantastic teacher and a well thought out course.

He keeps it basic enough to be understandable while teaching fundamentals that can be practiced into advanced work. His quick lessons on post production take the mystery out of it.

I have now finished four photography courses and everyone of them has been most enjoyable.
Some have been more challenging than others, but that’s the only way to learn.
Your videos and Worksheets are easy to follow and you can always refer back when you get stuck on a task.

Now starting on your City Night Photography course.

By far and away the best value for money I have spent on learning photography. TSOP (The School of Photography) is in a league of its own.

The Lightroom course alone is worth the subscription. Excellently presented, breaking a complex topic into easily digestible components. Highly recommended.

Joined TSOP almost one year ago with limited experience in photography. I decided on TSOP after reviewing many different YouTube segments from a variety of photo sources. I just finished their Portrait Retouching course and to date it is my favorite. Once again Marc Newton does an excellent and enjoyable presentation and I learned a great deal. Have also completed the Basic Photography, Lightroom, and PhotoShop courses which are a must for basic knowledge in this art. Long Exposure course done as well. All have been 5 star! The fun part now is to choose my next course! With practice and an occasional review of previous course segments, I continue to increase my proficiency. Well worth joining!
