Unfortuantely I am unable to recommend The Surrey Car Company Ltd, trading at The Car Company Bristol & Bath. I purchased a used car from them in September 2024 and unfortunately experienced a number of issues shortly after the sale, including problems with the clutch, steering wheel alignment, and the service history not matching the advert.

Ultimately, several more issues kept happening with the car, and I had to part ex it. I sold it for £2,000, having paid £5,000 less than a year ago. This was a substantial loss for me.

I attempted to resolve these issues with the dealer but wasn’t able to reach a resolution, so I issued a small claim. Today, the court awarded me compensation, which the dealer paid immediately.

This was not the experience I had hoped for when buying a used car, and based on my experience, I personally would not buy from this company again.

Lovely customer service but has had non stop issues from the start with the car.

Drove the car away from the dealership was about 30 mins into the trip when I heard a noise, we thought maybe the car had been parked up a while due to the amount of cobwebs in various places, then 4 months later I lost my brakes due to a calliper seizure, which upon seeing the brake discs and pads, had been like that for some time. When I called the dealership about having this done under warranty, was told that they don’t do this under warranty only gearbox and engine - so forked out money to get them fixed.

Had a 6 month warranty with them, at least 2 weeks out of warranty and the gearbox goes. I hadn’t had the car a whole year and had these issues. Now I’m struggling to fix these issues due to starter motor failing dead on a year on having the car. I’ve driven 7000 miles and now I’ve got a car I can’t use.

We brought a Honda sub rf08 ceu the car needs work doing to the car we ring the seller and the seller responds back saying he has not taken out the warranty now we are left with 1000 plus mechanic bills we have brought 4 months ago he said would I like to purchase warranty with will be covered for 18 months I thought this would be god some peace of mind so I purchased the warranty with the seller surrey automobile and went to take a claim out and the seller has not taken the warranty out so now we are stuck with the mechanic bills the seller is selling cars from 2 Davies Road this is a genuine review the seller dose not answer or help the seller states on his website he sell all his cars with 6 month warranty and now we have 2 month warranty and the seller is not helping us to try get the vehicle repaired 07706291044 can be contacted if any 1 else needs more information

In my relatively short interaction with the sales team l found them to be rude and condescending. Completely put me off using them.

Do not buy a car from here! My boyfriend bought a car from here which had many faults they took the car back for over a week and it still wasn’t fixed we arranged our money back as it was too much hassle. Phone calls and texts were ignored and then fobbed off for nearly two weeks daily with different excuses until we finally got our money back. Not professional atall I wouldn’t advise anyone but from here

Surrey Auto is one of the worst second hand dealer in UK. They cheated me by selling faulty MINI convertible. The car was broken down within one week of purchase. There was so many faults. They asked me to bring the car at their garage to repair. As it was broken down , they recovered it. They returned me the car after two weeks, saying that the car is fully repaired. The car is broken down again, I found that they did not do any good fix but all temporary fix. They lied me. Now they are not repairing me and not giving me a courtesy car. I have to spend all money from my pocket. Total pain. Please avoid them by any cost. They are liar and cheater. Don’t trust them at all. The six months insurance provided by them is vague. They insurance company is also associated with them in cheating. In a summary, total cheating second hand car selling business. Please avoid them by any cost.

Don’t go for this garriage, they want your money and won’t respond to any of your issues after!!! When getting the car was told that there was no issues with my fiesta. After few days of driving it, the engine light came on and had to get dial read which should have been paid off by them but wasn’t. When reporting the issues, given I have a warranty, demanding I want it fixed ASAP, they did nothing about it, all phone calls were made by me. Kept delaying the appointment. No updates at all. At this point I’m driving the car for 2 months With the engine light on and every time I call them they literally did not pick up my phone calls, absolute shambles of a customer service. So i decided to fix the car myself, given I have the warranty, which I did, phoned the warranty people and was told that my warranty is the most basic warranty meaning It could not be covered by the service I did? These people are cheapscapes and will ignore you after they receive your money. They promise you all these promises but without any actions... after I found out mirror on the sun visor on the driver side is also fully smashed. Not the fact that I use it, but the fact I wasn’t informed of this. Very disappointing service and treatment of a customer. Additionally, when was promised the car was going to be delivered on a specific date, arrived a week and a half late, resulting in loss of earnings, absolutely shambles.

I've used these guys for my last couple of run-arounds that were on their way out.

Both pick-ups from my flat in South Croydon were prompt and on-time.

Rich was friendly, professional and provides a great service.

Highly recommended to all.

Would not recommend, very inconsiderate to their neighbours. Apparently leaving your car engine running for over 20 mins just before 4 in the morning is acceptable behaviour and what is worse they then switch it off and didn’t even go anyway. This was never an issue before covid and not sure why they feel it is appropriate now. If this thoughtless behaviour is how they treat their neighbours hate to think how they treat their customers.

Excellent company to buy from. They are very genuine honest lads who will do their utmost to give a good deal.

Bought a car with this company the owner was exceptional - he had just received the car and explained in detail what he would do to make the car ready. We agreed on a pick up date everything was done and ready. Few days later the car had an issue with the battery I called my breakdown company and called the owner - no fuss he even paid for the new battery. Thank you so much great experience and would highly recommend

Very happy with my new car. After looking around these guys offered the most reasonable value for money. The service was excellent and the guys were a great help.

I will put five stars in customer service! But when i found the flat got some problems that i woduldn t like to have! Anway they make everything as possible to solve it!

Excellent service and and informative. Not at all pushy and goes to extreme lengths to make sure the car leaves the forecourt in exactly how you want it! Would recommend to anyone!
