They charged $899 to migrate my hosting to another company!! They refused to give me my website Wordpress password and CPanel information and held my website hostage unless I paid this ridiculous high fee in order to switch hosting. They charge a low fee to start, and then charge two-three times more when time to renew. I wish I had never started with them in the first place because it ended up costing much higher than just paying a designer to create a wordpress and OWN the site/passwords so I can switch anytime without incurring ridiculous migration fee

bad experience with web building corp, i signed up their service to build an e- commerce website in Feb.2025 and paid $399 , sooner latter they told me that i need to pay $1400 for VPS Hosting Server for 24 month plus domain fee which is way over my budget , and I requested a refund after notice this addition cost somehow the customer service rejected my requested and Now I wasted my money plus 2 month time, be very careful with all the hidden cost if your background is not the computer or IT related, not honest people and they obviously failed to conduct their business in an honest and transparent way, will never recommend to any one, just be very careful!!

They took in $4,000 and multiple people promised me they could build the database I needed and they never did. After 1 year I finally gave up. They were also constantly switching the project manager, I had at least 4 in 12 months. They would say they fixed everything and I would check and found they never fully fixed the problems. I literally have no usable website and no one there will return my messages. I went elsewhere to get a website built.

I wish I could leave ZERO stars and I wish I had checked the reviews. RUN THE OTHER WAY IT'S WORSE THAN A SCAM, ITS EXTORTION. I've given these criminals $8-10,000 over the past year and though I did end up with a mostly functional but poorly designed website (which was supposed to cost $999 (sigh...stupid) they consistently and purposefully do things to make in non-functional (or just take it offline) periodically (every few months) and then demand $ (thousands) to get it up and running again. THIS IS EXTORTION - THEY HOLD YOUR WEBSITE HOSTAGE AFTER YOU HAVE ALREADY SPENT THOUSANDS. examples are things like, "The site is not ADA compliant, The site is not secure (despite security from the host), or "Google took it offline b/c of some BS Copyrighting problem" (this was all just lies), THEY LIE...A LOT. ABOUT EVERYTHING. They take advantage of people who don't understand the techy website terminology and use threats of heavy government fines etc. They lie about being located in the US and even list locations in FL (I went to the one in Fort Walton Beach - its an empty building that can be rented as supplemental office space - which they have never rented). They lie about their names - they tell you their names are "Alan Parker, and Jason Walker but they speak heavily accented English and are actually located in Pakistan (which means they don't/won't follow US laws and basically can't be sued). They don't work normal US business hours - duhh. I'm in the process of trying to get a reputable company to take over and maintain the site for me but the EXTORTIONISTS have already started purposefully taking pages down to pressure me. I'm heartbroken and out $10K for a crappy website. I'm probably going to have to start over with a real web design company from the USA. READ REVIEWS!!!

ATTN all current or future-prospects who’re thinking of conducting business with The Web Design Corp. DO NOT PROCEED!!! Please read this entire comment and direct your attention to the last section of this comment, as it contains all their contact information.

When I was introduced to Hide Rodgers, one of the head project managers at The Web Design Corp, he explained to me their capabilities and promised to create a platform for my company. After he reviewed all the requisite blueprints I sent over, he explained that the development of the project wouldn’t be an issue, and that his team would be able to develop said project within 6 – 12months. On 10/11/2022, he sent me a contract to sign and explained that an upfront payment of $2,500 was required. Additionally, the total cost of the project was supposed to be $5,000; as stated in the contract.

Months later, despite an initially smooth and on-schedule project, concerns arose around the 4-month mark. My project was unexpectedly put on hold, prompting me to reach out to Hyde. With no response, I reached out to my initial contact who escalated the issue to their superiors. Alan Parker, another project manager took over, restarting backend development. On 03-29-2023, he provided an updated work list and introduced new costs for compliance certifications (PCI, GDPR, HIPAA, ADA) totaling $2,000, along with hosting services amounting to $3,255. The total paid to The Web Design Corp now stands at $10,255.

A few months later, I contacted their attorney, Wayne Robson to inquire about the delay in receiving my compliance certifications. Wayne asserted that an additional payment was required for processing and shipping the certificates, amounting to approximately $1,900. Despite my explanation that I had already paid Alan Parker for platform compliance, Wayne insisted these were separate costs. I pointed out that government agencies don't impose extra fees for processing and shipping certificates, emphasizing that the total cost should have been covered upon application submission. Despite my clarification, Wayne maintained his position.

After that, I ended up speaking with Alan Parker again about the completion of the backend of the website. Almost one year later, and he finally sends over the list of completed functions and wants me to approve the backend of the website so we can start working on the frontend. After I test each function, I noticed that there were some flaws in their development, like simple spelling errors on some of the headings, additional functions that I never even listed in my blueprints, and over half of the forementioned functions outlined in my blueprints weren’t even built into the platform.

When I expressed my dissatisfaction, Alan Parker attempted to provide emails as evidence of my approval for all backend functions. Furthermore, discussions about integrating a Microsoft API for user-friendliness surfaced, with Alan demanding a one-time fee of approximately $2,700. Research revealed that the API had a monthly cost, contrary to Alan's claim. Despite my argument, Alan stated that he couldn't move forward with the development of the platform unless this amount was paid.

CONCLUSION
As I’m writing this comment on 02/05/2024, Alan Parker is now holding my platform hostage and refuses to continue developing the frontend and completing the development of my platform. He even sent me an email giving me an ultimatum. Either I pay the requested amount of approximately $2,700, or my project will be terminated.

Zero Stars. I bought a website, SEO, ADA and social media. They took 8 months to finish my website because every week there was a spelling/grammar error, glitches and sizing issues. Links didn't work, etc and it takes days to get simple fixes and I couldn't send more than 3-4 edits at a time or they would miss half of it and then other issues would pop up every time. The SEO is horrible as I was still on the 7th page of Google after 8 months published. I asked for my money back after seeing the horrible social media attempts they made too, but spoiler alert, they never reimbursed me. They were not transparent in what they were selling - trying to bait and switch and I would need to correct them on what I purchased (I started keeping their sales pitches to use against them when they said items weren't covered). They never understood what my business was - they put up completely wrong images that were the opposite of what I asked for. They would make blog dumps of 4 articles every 3-4 months - one even promoted another competitor company!!! After about a year, I got an email about "ADA compliance" needing a renewal - signed like its a government agency but not from a .gov email. This company backed it up and said it was real and I needed to pay. SCAM. Tried to scare me with blacklists and all the things. Simultaneously, my website is now looking like it's a phishing website and is considered unsecured. DO NOT BUY - DO NOT WASTE A YEAR OF YOUR TIME and MONEY

I actually choose NO STARS !! This joke of a company are nothing but bullies, liars and scammers !! I think we should all get together and do something about these a***holes who take our money and give nothing back ! I am out of pocket nearly $6k and I’d hate to imagine how much I’ve lost because I’ve been jerked around by them for nearly a year !! Report the Illinois Police. They operate multiple websites especially to defraud people. They are in the midst of setting up all new websites with the same goal.

I am writing this review to share my extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with The Web Design Corp. My interactions with this company while trying to overhaul my website have been nothing short of a nightmare.

I initially contacted The Web Design Corp on March 29, 2022, with high hopes of transforming my website into a more modern and compliant platform. Little did I know that this would mark the beginning of a series of challenges, miscommunications, and unmet expectations.

From the start, there was a significant amount of back and forth required to arrive at a website design that I was even remotely satisfied with. While I understand that achieving the right design can take some iterations, the process was unnecessarily prolonged and often frustrating.

The situation worsened when The Web Design Corp finally rolled out the new website sometime in late May 2022. To my dismay, the website was riddled with errors and numerous issues that needed immediate attention. It was shocking to see how a supposedly professional web design company could release such a subpar product.

What added to my disappointment was the unexpected financial burden. Initially, I was provided with a certain price estimate, only to discover later that it was nowhere close to the final cost. The company sneakily included multiple add-ons that drove the total cost well beyond what I had anticipated. To my disbelief, these add-ons amounted to over $2,225, a significant departure from the original estimate.

One of the most aggravating aspects of this entire ordeal was the promised backend login feature, which would have allowed me to make changes to the website after it was built. Regrettably, this feature has been nothing but a mirage. Despite continuous attempts and requests, I have been unable to gain access to the promised backend login. It's as if The Web Design Corp took my money and vanished into thin air, leaving me with a dysfunctional website and an inability to make the necessary changes.

In my desperation to seek resolution, I involved legal counsel. My attorney sent a demand letter to The Web Design Corp, a communication that went unanswered for a significant period. Only after I reached out to inquire about the status of the demand letter did I receive a response. Shockingly, their reply laid the blame on me, asserting that the project was closed due to my alleged fault.

This entire experience has left me feeling deceived, taken advantage of, and utterly unsatisfied with the services provided by The Web Design Corp. The level of unprofessionalism, poor communication, and disregard for customer satisfaction displayed by this company is nothing short of astounding.

In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering The Web Design Corp for their web development needs to proceed with caution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone seeking a reliable, professional, and ethical web design partner.

The worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a company! Zero absolutely zero, follow-through! They are difficult to reach, no one ever answers the phone, they hang up on you if you finally do reach someone. I’ve been working with this company for a year and still do not have a functioning website. Links that lead to nowhere, links that lead to the wrong pages, statistics that have zero to do with my business. The absolute worst quality of work and professionalism I’ve ever encountered in my 18 years in business. I would absolutely not recommend this company.

Best Services for ever The Web Design Corp

What I like is they did a good job a making progress on porting over my present website that was done in html to Wordpress.
What I didn't like is they can't serve with speed . So, I asked for a refund and they gave me one about two months later. I will raise this rating once I have personally experienced being able to update my own site without going through hundreds of video's etc. and when they add subscribing to my Magazine of the same name, etc. They are also making sure my Paypal buttons all work, which will get them an even high rating. Wayne has been good at getting back to me; though he is trained to upsell even when he says that's not his job. I look forward to showing you my new site -- Competitiveswimmer.com. It's been many months in the making.

I paid $4500 for a web design in March 2022. I was not happy with the design or progress being made and was promised a refund of $4000 on 6/23/2022 - which I still have not received. My project manager (Jack Mason) quit responding to my emails and phone calls. Do I need to file a lawsuit to get refunded?

Not a positive experience. Costly learning experience. Regrettably, I am out $2,800. I only have myself to blame for using this company. Steep learning curve.

Wayne promised a lot. He delivered some of it. The site was progressing and they seem to have some talent. But I made the mistake of spending $800 for them to actually host the site. As of this writing their own site can't be reached!! Just horrific servers. They were updating my site from html to Wordpress with the understanding my website would remain active since it's a business site and the lifeblood of my company. Then the let it go down, made my e-mails not work except on their servers, and now are taking many days to respond to simple questions. I moved my site back to Hostmonster and it worked for a while but Hostmonster says they messed it up and now even the old site doesn't run at all. They did a lot of work, but they don't do everything well. I hope to upgrade this review soon, but I've asked for a refund for the hosting and it they keep dragging their feet I will sue them and have over 100,000 followers tell all their friends never to use The Web Design Group. I ad been looking forward to promoting them.
