We were very happy with the representation that this company provided for us. The process did take a bit longer than we had anticipated but it was well worth it to be free of all the contracts and burdens!

I am so grateful to the team of Timeshare Legal for their unwavering support and guidance throughout this process. I never had to speak with the company of the Timeshare which made the process easier and less stressful. The entire process took longer than expected and at times I would get a little anxious and impatient but the team at Timeshare Legal was always patient, attentive, understanding, and reassuring. I am so full of joy to be out of that contract! I’m finally FREE!! Thank you so much Timeshare Legal. I would definitely recommend this company if you’re looking to get out of an unwanted Timeshare contract.

Update: After posting my review, Timeshare Legal responded with statements that do not address the actual issues I experienced. To clarify:

• Their assigned law firm impersonated my wife during a call with the developer, using her personal information without consent.
• An FTC complaint was filed in my name without my authorization.
• I was instructed to ignore calls and letters from the developer and not bring the account current — the opposite of what they now claim publicly.
• No legal advice, negotiation, or cancellation work was ever performed, despite this being the most expensive part of their process.

Timeshare Legal’s public response repeats contract language but avoids these documented actions. My experience was not a misunderstanding — it was a series of unauthorized and harmful steps that I would never recommend to anyone.
My wife and I had an extremely disappointing and damaging experience with Timeshare Legal. They presented themselves as a legitimate service that could help us exit our timeshare. They charged us $6,499 and immediately handed us off to a group they called “Thompson & Associates,” who they represented as our legal team.

Very early on, the red flags started. We were instructed to hide their involvement from the developer, avoid answering calls, and intentionally let our account fall behind. We later learned that Timeshare Legal is not a licensed law firm and had no legal authority to represent us in any capacity. That became obvious when they pushed all the actual work onto us while claiming they were handling things behind the scenes.

They drafted grievance letters for us, told us to sign and mail them, and even filed a complaint with the FTC without our knowledge or input. The most disturbing part was when their “legal team” impersonated my wife during a phone call to the developer—something we never authorized and only discovered when the developer contacted us.

Despite all their promises, no progress was ever made, and following their instructions caused our account to become delinquent and harmed our credit. They did not negotiate with the developer, did not communicate with them, and did not provide the legal representation we were told we were paying for.

We are now left cleaning up the financial and credit damage caused by their guidance. Based on our experience, I strongly urge others to be extremely cautious before engaging with Timeshare Legal.

I’m so glad I chose Timeshare Legal to help me get out of my timeshare with Hilton Grand Vacations. I felt overwhelmed trying to handle it on my own, but they gave me peace of mind and made the whole process so much easier. I would definitely recommend them if you’re looking to get out of a timeshare without the stress.

The original call from the Timeshare Legal representative was very helpful in explaining the steps in getting our timeshare cancelled. The instructions we received in getting the timeshare were detailed and instructing to follow them completely. It took a bit longer than first explained, just by 3-4 months. The overall result is exactly what we wanted.

BEWARE!!! I paid timesharelegal in full 2 years ago to cancel my timeshare. I am still getting bills from my timeshare and timeshare legal has gone silent.

I'm a huge skeptic when it comes to companies promising you they can help you get out of something but boy am I glad to have used Timeshare Legal! After doing some research and asking a bunch of questions about affects to credit and verifying it wasn't a scam, we signed up. From the first day, there was constant communication and follow up and in the end, they were able to help us close our timeshare in less than a year! It was a thorough process and Jennifer, our assigned case rep, was wonderful.

Customer service explained process very well. The process was faster than expected and walked through each phase of process and we knew what to expect while waiting for the timeshare to be sold.
