Tim was a delight to work with. The toaster was truly worth the wait. I ordered the toaster for my husband's birthday. Because there was going to be a long wait, Tim was kind enough to send a certificate that I was able to present to him on his birthday. Once the time came, Tim had two options available for us to choose and he was great at sending us so many pictures that we were confident in our selection. The packaging that it came in was impeccable and we were delighted with how much detail went into it. The toaster was in excellent condition and was exactly how it was presented in pictures. But the best part by far was how perfectly the toaster works and toasts!

Tim is amazing and the work he did is top notch! Great communication and an overall joy to work with - not something you often find these days. The entire process reminds me of a bygone era when businesses were proud of their work and went the extra mile. Thanks Tim!

I/we had a shiny Sunbeam toaster growing up. I asked my brother Alan "What happened to Mom and Dad's toaster?" We couldn't figure it out where it went. One day I was able to figure out what it was and found Tim's website. I placed an order and waited about a year and got a rebuild toaster that bought back memories. One vivid memory was being a kid and watching the elements heat and magical mechanism work. I would watch my hair curl and start to almost burn in the chrome case. For the longest time I though my full name was David Stop That!!! Wife is shocked how well it works, uniform every time and fast. Tim is an all-around good man to do business with.

Tim has been a delightful person to work with in the repair of our Sunbeam toaster. He kept us up-to-date with detailed workbench photos of the process. In this age of digital production, it is wonderful to see his skill and effort in the restoration of our analog gem. Not only is the toaster a gem, but we should “toast” Tim as a member of the heroes who maintain our devices.

Amazing Toaster and fantastic restoration work! Tim did a fantastic job restoring a T-20-B Sunbeam for me. Can not say enough good things not only about the quality of his work but also the detail and professionalism of his updates!

He kept me updated all throughout the process, letting me know when he would begin work on my toaster, sending pictures of my toaster when it was disassembled, cleaned, and re-assembled and tested. It was well worth the wait, which he was very up front about due to high demand and limited time on his part to work on them.

My patience was rewarded with easily the best toaster I have ever owned. Tim's work restoring the toaster to a like new condition can not be understated, it is almost as if I unboxed a factory new toaster in a lot of ways(minus the minor, nearly invisible scratches due to age, of course!).

Once you see the toast automatically lower itself into the toaster and raise back out when done you can never go back to a regular 'modern' toaster ever again. It's like magic. It makes the best, most consistent toast I've ever had.

Tim is a true craftsman, I really can not recommend him enough. Whether you need your family's heirloom Sunbeam toaster restored or want to purchase a restored toaster from his stock yourself, Tim is definitely the person to go to.

Does a great job at making antique toasters look great for their age. Replaces all the worn parts and gives it a modern cable that will keep the the local authorities happy. Highly recommended if you want something that isn't disposable and can be easily repaired, giving it a lifetime of use.

WOW! when our toaster arrived after Tim restored it was the only word I could think to say. You can have fast or perfection not both. It may take time for Tim to work his magic, that's what perfectionism does. But when he's done you'll have perfection.

I must say, I have never met someone so in tune with the love and adoration of people like us and our love for the Sunbeam Automatic Toaster. We are vintage loving folks, and our Sunbeam toaster had its issues. My search for someone I could trust to identify and fix the problems led us to Tim’s Toasters! We were so excited to find someone who shares our enthusiasm for this beautiful piece of Americana, and Tim’s knowledge of these toasters is unparalleled! He quickly had us go through a few tests and report back what we saw happening, he identified the problem and set a timeline for us and the toaster’s repair and restoration. In short, AMAZING is all we can say of the entire experience. Tim is a consummate professional, trustworthy and he is kind. Cannot say enough about Tim. We have one other toaster that we keep in our 1963 Shasta trailer, a T-20. For now, it is running good but we know who to trust if it needs work. Tim, we love you man, many, many thanks for all you do.

Unbelievable what Tim did with the toaster I sent him. It looked like it had been on a garage shelf for 20 years and now it is clean and working great. Now I have toaster I grew up with in my home. Thanks so much.

After decades of frustrating experiences with mediocre toasters designed to break after a few years, I found Tim’s Toasters after reading an article on The Verge. I contacted Tim and commissioned him to restore a Sunbeam T-20, all chrome, with Art Deco etching inspired by the 1939 World's Fair buildings the Trylon and the Perisphere. Tim found the model and set to work while I (tried) to wait patiently. It took time, but the wait was worth it. I now have a beautifully restored toaster that works perfectly. Tim is a fastidious artisan and incredibly meticulous. I equate his effort with my Sunbeam T-20 to an artist resurrecting a beautifully crafted machine from a bygone era of Americana when quality and design mattered. Throughout the process Tim kept me updated with his progress, sending photographs and progress reports as the work materialized. Thank you, Tim, for the work, the communication, and your attention to detail. These are precious traits.

Tim is simply the best. All around a VERY HIGH quality restoration. If you want it done right, send it to Tim. My grandparents’ toaster is as fresh and functional as the day it was born so many years ago. So many amazing extras in the packaging as well. Just a great experience and worth every penny.

Tim did a great job restoring my grandmother’s Sunbeam VT-40-1 toaster. It had sat for years in a garage and thanks to him it arrived back in like new (or even better) condition! Little touches like the box it was shipped back in with vintage Sunbeam branding show he goes above and beyond on even the little details. He also kept me updated throughout the entire process. It was a great experience!

A few years ago I found Tim's website after having picked up a long neglected Canadian model Sunbeam Radiant Control toaster which I cleaned and had mostly working but couldn't get the thermostat to "latch". I sent it out to Tim for repair assuming the thermostat was in need of rebuilding or replacement but he managed to fix it by cleaning and adjusting it and sent it back to me without charge! This after spending a decent amount of his time discussing the issue with me via e-mail and on the telephone. I was thrilled when the restored thermostat was reunited with my toaster and after a bit of calibration (and some more help from Tim) I was back up and toasting.

Things were great for a few years until recently my toaster started having the same trouble where it wouldn't "catch" when the trip lever was engaged. I tried my best to troubleshoot, but came up short. Again, I reached out to Tim and he confirmed he would have to have a look at it so off the thermostat unit went to his workshop.

Almost as soon as he received the part, it was fixed and sent back to me ready to be reinstalled in my toaster. Of course Tim's repair completely fixed the issue and my toaster is back up and running better then ever.

Further, and despite my insistence, this man refused payment for any part of the process - even for the shipping ! When pressed on the matter, he citing some perceived error on his part. I can't say enough about his honesty and generosity, it is truly astounding.

The toaster Tim rebuilt is even better than the original. His attention to detail is amazing. I was truly blown away and it was well worth the wait.

If you need your Sunbeam toaster repaired and/or restored, look no further than Tim's Toasters. I can't say enough good things about Tim and his work. I had read about other people who had their toasters repaired, and it was enough to convince me to give it a go. I'm so glad I did. It took some time for the waitlist to catch up to me, but once it did, there were timely email updates, very kind and professional, plus pictures of YOUR toaster as the work progresses. Tim is absolutely the best! The whole experience went above and beyond a simple restoration of my toaster. He does everything right, keeping you updated along the process. Well worth the wait, which is only because he is super busy restoring many toasters.

My 100 year old mother-in-law asked my husband to take a look at her broken 1953 T-20-A Radiant Control Toaster. She had received it as a gift in 1953 when my husband was born. It worked perfectly for 72 years! I was enlisted to find someone who could possibly repair it. So fortunately an internet search lead me to Tim’s Toasters.

Tim communicated well throughout the process. He sent pictures showing the progress. When my toaster arrived it was perfect and works beautifully! This was my parents toaster since new and I am beyond happy with the results.
