Profit before customers seems to be the motto now
I rented a Renault Clio for 5 days, picking it up from Varna Airport after dark. As a result, I was unable to check the vehicle for damage. When I returned the car to the airport (having driven it very little) 5 days later, the agent undertook the check in my absence over a prolonged period and then asked me to come and see a barely visible scratch to one of the wheel trims, for which I am very confident I was not responsible. I was then kept waiting for 30 minutes while he tried to work out how much this would cost me. I was finally charged a total of 235 euros for this tiny scratch. The rental of the vehicle by itself cost 120 euros. I was unable to argue my case, otherwise I would have missed my flight. My request for a refund from the company was met with a firm blank. I shall not be using this rental company again. I note that my issue seems to replicate that of Mr Sharp who left a similar review on 7th April. This is a company that now clearly puts profit before customer care or goodwill. I am also very suspicious now as to whether the damage was actually sustained during the period of the rental.

We understand that collecting a vehicle after dark can make this more difficult, and we always recommend using a phone flashlight or requesting assistance from our staff to ensure everything is clearly documented at the start of the rental.
Regarding the return process, our standard procedure is to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle to identify any new damage that may have occurred during the rental period. Any findings are assessed according to our damage policy and pricing guidelines, which are applied consistently across all cases. The charge issued reflects the cost associated with repair or replacement as determined by these guidelines, not the rental price itself.
We regret that you felt rushed due to your flight schedule, as we always aim to ensure customers have the opportunity to review and discuss any findings during the return process. We also understand your concerns about the origin of the damage; however, based on our records and inspection procedures, the charge was applied in line with our terms and conditions.

I had an excellent experience renting a car. The booking process was quick and straightforward, with clear pricing and no hidden fees. When I arrived, the staff were friendly, professional, and had everything ready, so I was on the road within minutes. The vehicle itself was spotless, well-maintained, and drove perfectly throughout my trip.

Bezahlte Reservierung№ 150326134. ignoriert – Gestrandet am Flughafen Varna!
"Wir sind fassungslos. Wir haben von Deutschland aus ein Auto reserviert und vorab bezahlt. Am Flughafen Varna wurden wir von einem Supervisor begrüßt, der sagte: 'Ja, Sie haben eine Reservierung'. Wir wurden dann mit dem Shuttle-Bus zum Büro außerhalb des Flughafens gebracht. Erst dort teilte uns der Mitarbeiter mit, dass sie kein Auto für uns haben!
Trotz bestätigter und bezahlter Buchung wurden wir mit unserem Gepäck im Stich gelassen. Es ist absolut unprofessionell, Kunden erst zum Büro zu fahren, nur um ihnen dann zu sagen, dass der Vertrag nicht eingehalten wird. Wir mussten uns kurzfristig selbst um eine Lösung kümmern. Unzuverlässig und nicht zu empfehlen!"

I had a great experience with Top Rent A Car at Varna Airport. The whole process was quick, smooth, and very professional.
Special thanks to Ivo and Rado – both were extremely helpful, polite, and friendly. They explained everything clearly, made the pickup and return very easy, and really went the extra mile to provide excellent customer service.
The car was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and drove perfectly. It felt almost new and was very comfortable for the whole trip, exactly as described in the booking.
I highly recommend Top Rent A Car Varna Airport, especially if you’re lucky enough to be helped by Ivo and Rado. I will definitely use them again!

Уже много лет, приезжая на отдых в Болгарию, пользуюсь только их машинами. Они в очень хорошем состоянии, почти новые. И всегда соответствуют моим запросам. Только 13 ноября сдал Рено Клио 5 в аэропорту Варна. Несмотря на то что приехал сильно заранее ( в 6:30 утра) очень милая девушка уже меня ждала. Быстро уладила все формальности, вернула депозит. И вдобавок сама меня вместе с моим тяжелым чемоданом подвезла к зданию аэровокзала!! Зв что ей премного благодарен! Когда получал машину там же 29 октября ребята тоже были высокопрофессиональны. Оформили и вручили ключи очень быстро. Последней машиной доволен - шустрая, легкая в управлении и страшно экономичная. Затрат на топливо не заметил в своем бюджете. Компания очень хорошая и в дальнейшем планирую заказывать авто только у них. Они есть во всех локациях, которыми я пользуюсь в Болгарии, что для меня очень удобно.
