Can't rate Doog at Torvelo highly enough for service and quality of work. He's my go-to mechanic for everything from wheel builds to bearing replacements. Quick turnaround and top-quality workmanship, wheel rebuilds have seen everything from a CX season to ultradistance races.

Started using Torvelo when the had just started out having been dissatisfied with the previous shop I used. So far I’ve had several bikes serviced, builds, repairs and couldn’t be happier.

Doog loves his bikes and this really shows when you speak to him or visit the workshop.

Work is always top notch and communication great and if you’re lucky you might see a cool pic of you bike on social media!

I walked into Doogs shop for the first time right at the height of the Covid Bike Crisis!! Even though he was snowed under at the time Doog took the time to sit and talk through my options with wheels and bottom bracket. Doog sourced and supplied wheels and BB and fitted both quickly and expertly. I won’t be trusting anyone else with my bikes from now on.

Quite simply Doog is my go to mechanic and bike builder and that’s from someone who lives 20 miles north of Aberdeen. Great setup, knowledge and very well priced.

Very knowledgeable and professional service. Would fully recommend for anybody looking to get upgrades or maintenance work done on their high end bikes. I've used Torvelo for a few jobs now including, wheel upgrades, bottom bracket servicing and crash reports/repairs and have had a flawless experience every time.

So many of the big brand shops I've used either don't know what they are doing with high end bikes and components, or don't have the time to communicate and keep their customers in the loop. Torvelo has no such problems in this area.

Shop is also a really cool place! Retro jerseys, cool bikes, and half decent chat/coffee as a bonus!

I've used Torvelo for my bike servicing for a few years now. Wheel re-trues, maintenance services, and full re-cables and services.

If you've any issues with your bike, Doog can and will help you out, or can recommend someone who can. Plus he always has decent coffee in for a chat about bike stuff.

I have used the shop on multiple occasions for a few different reasons. From Wheel truing to a crash insurance report, to setting up my new bike. All were completed professionally and most on the same day, even though the shop was busy. I have also purchased a number of products from the shop, lube, chamois cream etc and have found it better priced than most local alternatives.

Having used most bike shops in Glasgow over the last decade or so I'll be returning to Torvelo for every job from now on. There is no grumpy bike guy here, just a man passionate about his work.

Doog is a complete perfectionist and his attention to detail is second to none. He built my race bike and rebuilt a couple of wheels for me and he definitely goes the extra mile for his customers. Doog has a quick turnaround time and kept me in the loop while waiting for part etc. Professional services with every visit and all round good guy. Definitely my go to bike mechanic!

I have always wanted a custom wheelset built for my road bike. Now thru axles and disc brakes are the norm I decided to get Doog to build me something up. Considering how busy all bike shops have been this summer, it's not an ideal time to get wheels built. Really the longer a mechanic can spend on them the better. Doog helped out with the choice of hubs and spokes and the end result is absolutely fantastic. Best wheels I've ever ridden. Did my longest ever rider of 300km yesterday and they didn't miss a beat. Ripping descents at 70kph never felt so smooth.
