Our emporium is stocked with dress fabrics, soft furnishing materials, haberdashery, sewing machines, and everything in between. Think of us as your one-stop creative supply shop, without the big-box feel. Now led by Sarah Millbank (daughter of founders Rob and Frances), the shop has been a family affair from day one. Sarah and our team of passionate makers bring decades of hands-on knowledge to every customer interaction, whether that's in our Truro store or through our growing online presence. We believe sewing should be joyful, accessible, and a little bit addictive. Ordered a bag of scrap fabrics for my slow stitching hobby. I was very excited when opening the packet, 1 kg of happiness!! Thank you so much Truro fabrics for the wonderful variety of scraps, absolutely perfect!!

I visited the shop with the intention of purchasing a considerable amount of fabric. I knew the type and design of fabric I wanted but I found the staff most unhelpful with a " couldn't really be bothered" and dismissive attitude. I will not be visiting the shop again.

As a beginner I went in with a pattern and zero knowledge. The lady that helped me was fantastic, kind, knowledgeable and at no point did she make me feel silly. She showed me how to work out how much fabric I needed and helped me understand the other notions I needed. She even said I could pop in if I got stuck and wished me luck. What a wonderful experience!!! 10 starts out of 5.

Fantastic store full of high quality supplies and fabrics for your sewing needs. I bought my wedding dress fabric from them back in 2017 having gone to the store itself, where the staff were very helpful. I've recently bought online as I do live a bit too far away for random trips, and my experience was just as positive. The items were well packaged, and beautifully wrapped. I will continue to make use of their in-person and online shops.
