Biggest con going. The ad looks great, but none of it is true. The product is just a cheap Chinese drop‑shipped item, massively overpriced, and it doesn’t even demonstrate the features it claims to have. Ended up taking a 50% discount to not return as I have no faith the items would get back to China!
This is clearly a fake website and has no connection with Sentinel. I realised my error too late and have tried to cancel my order/payment but no joy. AVOID

I purchased the co2 monitors after seeing a Facebook ad. The next morning I realised I'd placed the order without doing my usual research online, so I looked at the reviews on here.
I did get spooked from seeing the reviews and had regretted making the purchase as we do already have co2 monitors (the ad convinced me that these would be better).
I emailed the Gmail address to ask if the order could be cancelled as it hadn't shipped yet. Shortly after this it did update to shipped, and I later received a response to explain it had already shipped and would I like a partial refund. I accepted this, and the money was in my account fairly quickly.
I have now received the co2 monitors, they look nice, I like the display and that they are plug in. I can't speak to the accuracy of the co2 levels but temperature and humidity levels seem correct. I wanted to come on to confirm that I did receive the product, I had clear communication with the company, and the partial refund came through fine. The reviews on here have been overwhelmingly negative but I've had a positive experience.

You touched on something that is very real for us right now. When a new brand receives its first negative reviews on Trustpilot, it tends to trigger an avalanche. People who have never ordered from us, never contacted us, never experienced the product, leave one star ratings based purely on what they have read from others. It becomes self-fulfilling. And yet the customers who are happy, who received their order, who had their issue resolved, who got their refund quickly, rarely come back to say so. That is just human nature.
We refund without argument. We respond quickly. We send replacements. We have never ignored a customer. And yet our Trustpilot page does not reflect that at all right now.
Your review does. And it is honest, fair, and balanced, which makes it worth ten times more than a five star review that just says great product.
We genuinely hope others will read your experience and feel encouraged to share theirs too. Reviews like yours are the only thing that gives a young company like ours a fair chance.

My order arrived not working that was two units, packaging looked like it had been kicked down the road, poor communication not really taking on board the issue they dont work, respond every two days to email, gave them fair warning and chances to rectify but insist on BS responses to delay and annoy, all I want is to return the items for a refund.... that seems to difficult to sort so I have instructed my bank to intiate a charge back as the goods are faulty not as described and the seller is being elusive, if you have ordered and have similar issue raise a dispute and request a charge back I have been more than fair and held of my review to give ample time to respond.. given they are a start up gave benefit of any doubts and previous reviews and it just seems the reviews are correct.... i have been amicable through out they have been elusive, i do not reccomend this company cant comment on the product as it doesnt work mine arrived Dead on arrival.... very poor comms, delay delay and delay... so might just send the items to trading standards and Which see what they make of them..... AVOID!!! Purely based on experience not the product as i said mine dont work!!

Reading all the negative reviews feels like i have been absolutely scummed, scummed from an advert on Facebook using a Official Fire Fighting officer with an sentinel product.
How can people get so low to make few pennies. That's absolutely disgraceful.

But we do want to address something directly. You left a one star review calling us disgraceful and accusing us of scamming people, before your order has even arrived. You based this entirely on other reviews, many of which were written by people who also had not received their product, or who were never customers at all.
This is exactly how a damaging cycle starts. One review spooks the next person, who leaves a review before receiving anything, which spooks the next person. And a genuine company trying to do right by its customers gets buried under it.
We have fulfilled thousands of orders. We respond to every email. We refund without argument. We send replacements. That is not what a scam looks like.
Please wait until your order arrives and you have actually experienced the product before drawing conclusions. We are confident you will feel differently once it is in your hands. And please consider deleting this 1 star review.

Dear trustsenttinel, very misleading name, very much like the product.
Marketing for "Sentinel" devices often blends these terms to trick us shoppers.
Lack of Safety Certifications: These white-label plug-in voice detectors usually lack a recognized third-party safety certification, such as a UL 2034 mark (US) or a British Kitemark / EN 50291 standard (UK). [1, 2, 3, 4]
Serious Safety Alerts: Consumer groups like Which? and Consumer Reports have repeatedly issued urgent warnings about these exact unbranded, cheap digital alarms. In laboratory testing, many of these generic models completely failed to sound an alarm when exposed to lethal doses of carbon monoxide. Not Life-Saving Gear: They do fine for checking if a room needs an open window, but they will not protect you from gas poisoning.
So trust sentinel please refund me in full for the items that you claim are better than most other detectors.
I was advised to ask you to send me a paid for Tracked postage label and collection arrange so once the courier collects it you can process my in full refund.

You have not given us the chance to finish what we started. We have been in contact, we have been responding, and we are working on your resolution. Posting this mid-process is not a reflection of the outcome, it is a reflection of your impatience, and it causes real damage to a business that is genuinely trying to help you.
As for the content of your review, you have copied and pasted generic concerns about white label CO detectors from the internet and applied them to our product without any independent testing of your own. That is not a review of your experience with Trust Sentinel. That is copy and paste.

I purchased two alarms based on a very well written Facebook ad. Can't believe I was suckered. These are cheap alarms from China with a massive mark up and clever marketing. I didn't do my research until after ordering. When they arrived and I realised what I had purchased, I immediately asked for details on how to return. To be fair to the people behind this ruse, rather than ask me to go to hassle of packaging them back up and going to the post office to send the items back to China, they simply gave me a full refund. This was the right thing to do as they are clearly a drop-ship operation. I expect they'll make some money but I wouldn't expect 'TrustSentinel' to be thriving in a year's time.

Ben, you received a full refund without being asked to return anything. No hassle, no postage, no questions asked. That is about as fair as a company can be.
And yet here we are with a one star review.
You admit yourself that we did the right thing. So what exactly is the one star for? You did not test the product. You did not experience any failure. You were refunded immediately and kept the items.
We understand you feel the product is overpriced or that the marketing was too persuasive. But a one star review implies a genuinely bad experience, and by your own account, you did not have one.
We are a new company working hard to build something real. Reviews like this, left by someone who was fully refunded and kept the product, cause serious and disproportionate damage.
We would genuinely ask you to reconsider this review or remove it. Not for our sake alone, but because it is simply not an accurate reflection of what happened between us.

Emailed to cancel order straight away after having issues with payment and bank suspecting fraud. Reading online reviews only confirmed my fears! Received an email the next day to say they would cancel my order and process refund, and to expect fund in 3-5 business days - that was 6th July! Have chased this morning and still no response…. Not looking great!

We do want to be honest with you about something. You cancelled your order based not on anything that went wrong with us, but on reading other reviews. You then left a one star review before your refund had even cleared, and before giving us a chance to respond to your chase.
Your refund came through. You were not scammed. Nothing went wrong except the timing of a bank transfer.
We are a new company and every one star review causes real damage, especially when it comes from someone whose experience with us was actually resolved fairly and promptly. The cycle you describe, bank flags a transaction, person reads negative reviews, person cancels, person leaves one star review, is exactly what is happening to us right now. And it is a cycle driven by fear, not by actual bad experiences.

I placed my order on June 18th, and it took until July 1st to arrive. Since then, I have read bad reviews, and looking at the product received, I have no confidence that they will keep my family safe. I cannot see anything related to British safety standards and have requested a return. The only way to return is to email them to a Gmail account, which is suspicious. There is no easy return and no company-branded email address to use. I have requested a refund and sent the return to an address in China for £19.60!!! At present, I have not received a refund, so the reply from Trustsentinel below is inaccurate; no refund has yet been processed, and it has cost me £19.60 for the return shipping!

You ordered, you received the product, you read negative reviews from others, decided you did not want it, requested a return, and were refunded. At every step we did exactly what we said we would do.
The concerns you raised, the Gmail address, the safety standards, the delivery time, were all addressed. A Gmail address is not a sign of fraud. It is a sign of a new company. And we responded to your return request and processed it.
We understand that reading a wave of negative reviews made you nervous. That is completely human. But those reviews created a fear that was not based on your own experience with us, and your review is now adding to that same wave for the next person.

I have been working in fire safety retail and product certification for nearly 10 years and have tested a wide range of carbon monoxide detectors from good brands like FireAngel, Kidde, and UltraFire as well as off-brand models from online marketplaces - a lot of the latter proving to be unsafe, as corroborated by Which? reports every few years. I know a thing or two about carbon monoxide alarms. Trust Sentinel is tripping a lot of red flags.
I found this website via a Facebook post telling the story of a fire fighter responding to a CO call out. The family supposedly had a 2024-manufactured FireAngel detector that plugs into the mains, something that brand has never sold, which had not sounded an alarm despite CO readings of 67ppm. The post explained that British Standard EN 50291-1 detectors don't alarm for 2 hours at that level, which is not quite true as they must alarm BEFORE 2 hours, and that the family were lucky to be alive. This is completely false, as international studies and ongoing research into CO acknowledge that levels between 50 and 100ppm cause flu-like symptoms after a few hours but, without underlying health conditions, is unlikely to be fatal even after many hours. The post emphasised that the Trust Sentinel alarms well before 50ppm, with a timeline on the website stating it will warn you from 10ppm. However, the product shown on their website is a MOES 3-in-1 model (S02-CO-UK-MS) that the manufacturer says does not alarm until over 50ppm.
The Trust Sentinel website also says their product will detect and alarm for natural gas and MOES do have models which has combined CO and NG detection but they have distinctly different display layouts than the model shown on the Trust Sentinel website. You can buy the alarms directly from MOES for half the price Trust Sentinel are charging, and there is also an all-caps underlined statement that the product is not available on Amazon or eBay but the MOES alarms are on Amazon for half the price of Trust Sentinel. Though, I do not know personally if these MOES alarms are actually compliant or safe; at least there is no mention of (BS) EN 50291-1 certification, which is a tad worrying.
Further, the Trust Sentinel website uses ChatGPT-generated images including a fake Kidde 7CO and the various policy pages have a range of missing links, placeholder notes left in from the Shopify template, and no UK / EU business address or VAT registration number.
There is very little about this operation that appears trustworthy.

One important detail: this reviewer has never purchased from us. Not once. He has not tested our product, not contacted our customer service, and has no direct experience with Trust Sentinel whatsoever.
What he has done is build an entire case based on assumptions, speculation about which model we use, specs from a third party manufacturer he assumes is ours, and observations about our website that he has chosen to interpret in the worst possible light.
He claims to work in fire safety product certification for 10 years, yet he cannot confirm whether the MOES alarms he references are safe or compliant either, by his own admission. He is guessing at our product specs based on what a device looks like on a screen.
Trustpilot exists for customers to share genuine experiences with businesses. This is not that. This is a detailed opinion piece from someone who has never bought from us, never spoken to us, and never given us any opportunity to respond to his concerns directly.

Hi Mrs Parkman, thank you for your feedback, even if we strongly disagree with it.
We are a new brand, launched in 2026, yes. That is not a red flag, every brand starts somewhere. Our website runs on Shopify, one of the most trusted e-commerce platforms in the world, and all payments are fully secure.
On the product: yes, it is manufactured in China, as is the vast majority of electronics on the market including Apple, Samsung, FireAngel, Aico and countless others. What matters is the quality of the sensor and what it does. The Trust Sentinel uses an electrochemical sensor that detects carbon monoxide from the very first PPM and displays live readings on screen at all times. Most standard alarms, including ones sold in B&Q and Argos, only alert you when levels are already dangerously high. Ours does not.
On the reviews: we are new and our review base is growing. We have not claimed otherwise.
On the Amazon comparison: similar looking products exist, but the sensor quality, calibration and live display are what set ours apart. A cheaper product that fails to alert you in time is not a bargain.
We are sorry you feel this way. Our customers who have tried the product know exactly what it does and why it matters.
See Truststeadfast. Exactly the same advert. Placed order - nothing received. No contact. No email just a website.
