We recently ordered a Bike Box and were extremely disappointed with both the product and the service received.
Due to the late delivery in the evening and poor weather conditions, we didn't open the pallet for 9 days. Upon opening, we discovered that 2 panels were damaged. We called immediately on Monday, as the company was closed for business on Saturday.
We were informed that since we didn't report the damage on the day of delivery and within the 10-day window, the company couldn't claim from the courier, and we would have to repurchase the panel and pay for delivery at a cost of £300.
The customer service from the director was appalling. The email exchanges were unhelpful, and no gesture of goodwill was offered to support with the additional cost.
I would not purchase anything from this company.

Sorry to hear that you are disappointed but your points raised aren't entirely factual. Your bike locker was receipted on the 5th February 2026 you signed for the pallet delivery as all in good order, 10 days after the delivery you phoned and duly emailed to detail damage with your delivery. The photos provided do not immediately suggest that the pallet was receipted in the condition you report and the damage could of well happened after the receipt of delivery. Our terms allow you generously 3 working days to report damage. At the point of your complaint we have maintained good communication with you offering you a replacement panel for the panel reported as damaged at a goodwill gesture price. The panels are very large for our product as it is a large product and the freight charges are appropriate for the size of the panel which was offered at £156.00 as it is a 2.2 metre long part, this price covered the bespoke heavy duty pallet and the courier cost, to save cost of pallet and delivery an option was also made available for you to collect your replacement panel from the factory.
Good site box. As advertised

Your order was placed on 16 February 2026 with delivery scheduled by Tuesday, 17 February 2026. As we are not open on Fridays, your order has been processed at the earliest opportunity and is being dispatched today. Delivery is scheduled for tomorrow, in line with the delivery timeframe.
As a goodwill gesture, we have also refunded the premium delivery charge back to your original payment method.

Thanks for your review. Just to give you an update, your order TB4001, placed on Dec 02 at 10:40 pm, is leaving us today and will be delivered tomorrow. This is still within our quoted lead time of 5 working days, but we’re sorry if the communication felt a little slow.
We work a 4-day week here at Tuffboxes (Monday to Thursday, 06:00–16:30), so as your order came in at 10:40 pm, we weren’t able to process it until we were back in the workshop at 06:00 on Dec 03.

Ordered two of the bigest boxes in…
In answer to your claim of not knowing who we arre and not seen any messages or emails:
Order No.TB3042 10/04/25 with and I sent an email as soon as we discovered individual keys, that was 19/04/25 We expected too much and you never answered any of our emails including wanting to know how long until delivery. The last one was via your contact us box which you also ignored so then I placed this true review. We tested your locks and other features of these boxes to destruction in a hard working environment.ignoring us doesn't help, neither does saying you didn't receive our emails and messages.
Ordered two of the bigest boxes in April 2025.
Initially looked good.
Bolted into the bed of our pick up.
After a few days we were fed up with four locks and four different keys. Plus once unlocked you can't remove the keys. Not only are the keys not the same, they look identical, the locks are Taiwanese cheap.
More on that later.
We then found that if you drop the lids down after a month or two it bends the lock holders inside the box. We even had one jam, and because the nut and bolt that hold these in place are too close to the lock holders you cant get a spanner on them. Disc cutter was needed.
Then the inadequate stays that keep the lid open which are thin plate rather than rams started to bend and jam. So we cut all these off as and when they bent.
Its worth mentioning too that if you try with one arm holding tools to drop into the box while using your spare arm/hand to open the box it always seems to jam. You need to open them with both hands.
Then we found we couldn't unlock one padlock but luckily had a cordless drill, 10mm steel drill bit, that took the centre of the lock out in seconds which fell apart, not great security at all.
When the weather changed we then found one box filled continually with water, where from I have yet to find out!
The part remedy there was to dril a few exit holes.
Finally this week we cut out the crappy padlocks and fitted heavy duty van door locks one in each box and cut off the padlock rings to stop the one handed jamming problems.
The two boxes both with tool trays as extras were a lot of money in my opinion and the main reason we bought them is we try and buy British.
I did email the company over a month ago but no response has been the disappointing reality.
Never experienced any hassle like this with a certain black and yellow tool chest.

Well built great kit but delivery arrangements for the Highlands could be better.
The Tuffbox Monster is a well built with a good finish and gets 5 stars. Ordering was simple and straight forward and communication was good with the company. There was free delivery with this item but the only drawback was that the company's courier only delivered as far as Glasgow. It was resolved by having it delivered to an address in Glasgow which I picked up from there. I would have been happy enough to have paid extra for carriage for their delivery company to deliver to Inverness or a third party arranged by them but the cheapest I found from Shiply to deliver from Oldham to Inverness was £156 plus a £18 admin fee.
If delivery had been more straight forward I would have given 5 stars overall.

Tuff cycle box
The tuff cycle box is well made and very easy to assemble. I am impressed by the quality. The only slight hiccup is the delivery. If you don't have a driveway, the very large package will be left on the pavement. I had to unpack it to bring it into the garden. Luckily a neighbour came to help me

The key can be a bit awkward to use when it’s on with your van keys as the face is recessed… but because the lock is so smooth it’s basically a none issue…
