Lies, violations, neglect
I really would like to rate this establishment a zero because of what happened to me, and prior to surgery was not an issue, however, all the issues started day of surgery, 4/3/24-6/11/25. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone and here’s why. I am going to give multiple instances of issues that are very concerning and disturbing, not to mention, illegal and in violation of HIPAA rights. I have also filed a complaint against Dr. Wolf with the Idaho State Medical Board, Joint Commission and Office of Federal Relations and Medicare. Dr. Wolf surgically cut my Achilles Tendon without my knowledge or consent when removing bone spurs the size of a tic tac. This felt beyond a violation of consent, body and rights. I’m going to make this plainly clear. I did not get medical consent for him to cut this. And I did not find out that he did this until 6/11/25 via an MRI. I am beyond angry. How does a doctor think that he can lie about doing something like this and violate patient rights, trust, etc? Then when stitching the wound back up, he used stitches that I was allergic to. This is clearly in two separate hospitals, my charts that he has access to. It’s been there for over a year. I started having problems immediately, when I brought this to his attention, I was gaslit. The wound became necrotic, after him finally removing the top stitches, however, the stitches inside reeked havoc with my immune system system. For over a month, I asked for help, complained, made phone calls, did everything in my power, and to no avail, I did not receive assistance until my husband and I took matters into our own hands. During all this, he allowed communications via his personal phone which is not HIPPA compliant. It is illegal to have communications via a non compliant platform. This does not secure personal medical or very sensitive information from people stealing it hacking it or other methods. This is a direct HIPPA Violation. Now I have to be concerned that my personal medical and other information is unsecured and can unfortunately get into the wrong hands. When speaking to a doctor, make sure that you are on a HIPAA compliant platform, otherwise you run the risk of having this happen to you as well. Dr. Wolf ignored concerns that led to further injury and expense, because the wound became necrotic, therefore having to seek out a wound care specialist from 5/7/25-6/11/25. I will state this, the wound care specialist said that the wound had to be debrided, therefore it would never have healed, the necrosis was present and spreading. The pain of having tissue become necrotic is excruciating. The process to have it debrided every week for over a month is excruciating. I do not wish this upon anyone. Never during that time did this doctor once contact me to check on my condition. When I was in the ER, he noted in the after summary notes that it was in fact necrotic, but then deferred to a doctor who is not a specialist who did not do the surgery on my foot, and she said nothing was wrong. Mind you, he put in his notes that the tissue was necrotic. Then says he’s gonna wait a week and check back. Why would you wait a week and check back when it’s necrotic? If it were not for the wound care specialist doctor, my foot would never have healed. I would not have found out through the MRI that this doctor had cut my Achilles tendon, and then lied to me and my husband about it for over two months. I contemplated suing this doctor, but I never want to see this doctor again. I was forced to find care in the middle of a very messy, and alarming conflict. At times, he could not keep which foot he did surgery on straight, or saying I was gonna go into surgery when I was supposed to have my stitches removed. I feel betrayed by what he did to my foot, and lying about such serious things, and withholding that information that vastly impacts the ability for me to function and move forward in physical therapy or possibly have complications. Do your homework before you have a surgeon cut you open. If I could go back to before surgery, I would never have had surgery. The pain this man has caused me is immeasurable.
