That trip planted the seed for what would later become UAZparts.com. By 2014, the first UAZ 469 rolled into the Netherlands from Germany — solid, honest, and out of place in a quiet street, but perfect in the right hands. Soon, the driveway filled with UAZ history: a 1960s GAZ with Cold War scars, a DDR-built 469 with quirks, a Polish Bukhanka radio van with original USSR electronics, an overlanding Bukhanka with rooftop tent, and a blue giant known as “The Hulk.” Neighbours got used to the view.
