AVOID AT ALL COST! Please read before you make decision.

Avoid this dealer at all costs.
I attempted to purchase a Ford Focus start of reg MA66 and the experience was genuinely shocking from start to finish, I honestly do not think this company has an outside phone line, as no one returns calls. You may be lucky to get through to someone that does not hang up on you!
I bought the car and paid a deposit for the vehicle on 30/03/26.I was told the car had been serviced, MOT'd and was ready on the forecourt to go by Omar. I asked if the wet belts had been changed and they hadn't, so I asked if they would quote a price to take on this work. The price was agreed and I was then informed this would take a few days. Completely understandable. I had heard nothing by the Wednesday. After calling numerous times again I got through to Omar. He told me everything was progressing well, the parts were in and we were still ok for Saturday. On the Sat morning before collection I called again and was assured everything was ready 4/4/26. When I arrived, the car wasn’t even at the main garage — I had to be sent by taxi to their service site, where staff knew nothing about the vehicle. Despite this I was given the keys to look around it by Zak which I did and recorded the experience. The car itself was nowhere near roadworthy. The rear tyre was completely flat, and both front tyres were below the legal limit. It had been painted black to disguise the wear (I'm an ex police officer so I've issued many tickets for tyres). The vehicle wasn’t taxed, and no one knew where the V5 book was. This car had allegedly already passed a service and an MOT. There is no way that this car would have passed an MOT just on the tyres alone. Despite this their operative asked me if would drive the vehicle to the garage around the corner and get them changed them changed! I refused on the grounds that A) a customer should not have to do this, b) the back wheel was flat and there was no guarantee that it would stay inflated c) the front tyres were illegal to drive on d) my insurance would be invalid as there was no tax on the car and finally e) I wasn't prepared to take the risk of them stating I had caused damage to the car. As a customer its not my job to do any of this. I persistently asked about the wet belt, and eventually they confirmed that it hadn't been done either (despite being charged for it).
I repeatedly asked to speak to the manager, Adam, and was told he was “in a meeting” till 4pm or would call me back. He never did. I was eventually given a so‑called personal number that was switched off, and staff hung up on me when I called again. Eventually I got through to Adam. More false apologies but said he would get the vehicle ready for Thursday 7/4/26. I messaged Adam a few times- no reply. In the end I managed to call him on the afternoon for an update. He again gave me the patter, and assured me that everything was ok and the work was being carried out. We agreed that he would send me photos of the wet belt being changed etc by 14:00 the following day. A request I made because I have little faith in this companies honesty or integrity based on my previous experience. As you can expect before reading the rest I did not receive any photos. I went through the saga of trying to call them again multiple times. In the end I called from my partners phone and managed to get through (read in to that as you will) at 15:30. Adam alleges that he had attempted to call me three times during the day before then and he has proof of the logs. My phone logs depict no calls. Adam then informed me that the sale was not going ahead now because allegedly they had found even more faults - leaking oil in turbo and a blocked radiator. It may be though that I had requested an AA independent inspection of the vehicle on the Thursday before I picked it up. Who knows? What I do know for certain is this. On the Saturday I went over to collect the car, this dealership attempted to hand over a dangerous, misrepresented vehicle, falsely saying that work had been carried out that wasn't and showed zero accountability. It is a pity trust pilot does not allow videos to be uploaded but my review on google maps does :) One of the worst dealership experiences I’ve encountered. I advise you to look at the Company House records as well, I imagine there may be another change of director again shortly. I'm now left with recovering money in a small claims court for cost of travel, inconvenience, loss of no claims on insurance (transfer over to the vehicle when I was told I could pick it it up) and their admin fee's etc. If I were you I'd go elsewhere and save yourself a lot of bother and regret. My Tip - try phoning the company and select the aftersales option. See how long you're on before you hang up. If they do answer and i'm wrong, just apologise and ask to go through to sales if you still want to take a chance. That AA approved status means nothing folks. Dreadful.

I would not recommend this place

I would not recommend this place, I bought a car from them in January 2026 problem started 1 month after purchase - engine light came in on when I was driving up the hill ( now this is crucial piece of information). I contacted united traders to report the fault ( I had to go back and forth just to let them know I am dropping a car off!) - took me like 3 days. When I rang them to check if car is ready for collection I have been told that gentleman that „fixed „ the car is on lunch break and to give them a ring back in 30 mins which I have to find out the phone line is not working so I gave it a rest till next day. I rang and they said car is ready so my partner collected it and when asked to provide documents what’s been done they said they will send it over to my email (which they never done) so I emailed them 3 weeks ago and still no response. When collected the car engine light was not showing up but then another 3 weeks passed and I took the route I never normally take but took on the day that first Engine light showed up and then to my suprise engine light showed up at the same road it showed up first time (driving up the hill) . I purchased OBD reader to find out I have problem with turboboost - which now I know for sure they have not fixed and just erased the fault code with the reader! If I could post picture I would , but now with all the evidence I have got I have started process of getting Trading Standards involved as this is putting me at risk and other road users. AVOID

I purchased the vehicle in October. The first issue occurred in November, and after a repair in December, the problem reoccurred in January. It took a month just to get the initial repair, and eventually I had to wait until March to receive my refund. Even then, the amount sent was incorrect, meaning I had to contact them again to chase the remaining money.

Communication throughout the entire process was appalling. I sent 24 emails trying to resolve this issue and received only 13 replies, meaning I repeatedly had to chase for updates myself. I also made countless phone calls, and their lack of communication was so bad that I had to involve Citizens Advice and seek other legal guidance just to understand what was happening.

Regarding the delivery fee, the company told me: “This is not something that we would refund.” This was incorrect, as under the Consumer Rights Act I was still within my rights to request a refund within six months of purchase.

In relation to vehicle collection, they said: “The recovery that is taking place is chargeable as it is not on us as the seller to return the vehicle, but we have done so as a goodwill gesture.” This was also incorrect — once the vehicle was rejected, collection is the responsibility of the seller.

During one phone call the receptionist, Salma, ended the call while I was still speaking. Abdul repeatedly failed to respond to emails, Adam made statements about resolving issues that were never followed through, and Abu told me the repair carried out would have a one-year warranty. I am still waiting for written confirmation of this warranty.

Overall this entire experience has been extremely stressful, poorly handled, and dragged on for months unnecessarily. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution when dealing with this company. After months of chasing, wrong refunds, and empty promises, I wouldn’t trust this company with anything.

Excellent, No Quibble, After Sales Service

I bought a car from United Traders which was a very positive experience and unfortunately discovered my car had a faulty infotainment system which affected the operation of the radio, phone and satellite navigation system. I booked the car in with Abdul in After Sales and the system was changed without a quibble and I am now delighted with my car as the new system is working perfectly. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone wanting to buy a car. All the staff are friendly, polite and helpful and the service is excellent.

Fantastic aftersales

My father purchased a vehicle in January 2026, unfortunately a warning about oil pressure appeared shortly after. I contacted United Traders via email, and within two minutes, Abdul had called back. Within 24 hours, they collected the car, and in just 60 hours from reporting the issue, the oil pressure sensor and wet belt had been replaced.
The service we received was exceptional. Abdul in aftersales was fantastic — always keeping us informed and following up after the car was returned. I would highly recommend United Traders

Cant thank the team enough

Cant thank the team enough. I’m a easily stressed person and I thought the car I had brought from here had some problems, there was no hesitation to take the car in and for them to look at it and to reassure me that everything is fine.
There is is this lovely girl on the phone who was the most respectful and her customer skills was spot on.

Poor selling condition

We were interested in a used car for sale via united traders website & arranged a viewing.
My husband took the car for a test drive & on starting the vehicle the window wipers barely cleared the screen, the seller admitted they needed changing. Soon into the test drive my husband needed to break which appeared to be crunching when pressed however gave the benefit of the doubt thinking the car may have been stood a little while, however on further use of the brakes the crunching remained. My husband raised this & again the seller admitted the pads likely needed changing!!!
Now this care has passed it MOT in September '25 but questions the validity of this given two basic safety features on the vehicle are in poor condition!!!!

I had read some of the negative reviews on trust pilot & their own website but gave them the benefit of the doubt however its a NO from us.
Do your homework people

What a wonderful company

One of the hardest things to buy is a used car, mainly because of cost, and secondly what is the experience going to be like. Approaching a used car dealer used to be fraught with anxiety but from the moment we entered the car park we were made to feel relaxed and valued as a potential customer .I'd called ahead and made an appointment so we were expected, with our choice of car already waiting. We were greeted with a smile and guided around the grounds so we knew were to go and to make us feel at home. We took a test drive with one of the staff to help us navigate around an unfamiliar area and once back discussed how we would proceed. We decided to go ahead with purchasing the vehicle which included a part exchange. I can honestly say that every step of the way was made easy with clear guidance as to what to expect, (I haven't changed my vehicle for 12 years) and on the day of purchase were once again met with such courtesy and amiability that made us feel that this family run business would really value every customer or potential customer who passed through the gates. They seem to have found the ideal balance of running a business and making their customers happy. Our new car was clean, serviced and ready to go and every staff member we met greeted us with a friendly smile.
I have no qualms about fully recommending United Traders if you're on the lookout for a used car and would give 5 stars all the way.

Amazing service received

Amazing service received. All staff polite and friendly. Harry was brilliant. I needed to get a smaller car and trade my big car in due to a change in circumstances. I had never purchased a car on my own before. Harry made the process so easy for me. He was understanding and made me feel comfortable throughout. I love my little car. I cannot thank United Traders and Harry enough for such an excellent service. I wouldn't go anywhere else now but here in the future.

Brilliant and efficient service

We saw a fiesta on Auto trader in May for my son’s first car. When I called Harry to enquire and explain my requirements, and accepting we live 150 miles away, Harry couldn’t have been more helpful. He talked me through similar cars and sold me a better car than we were looking for, for a really reasonable price and within a price range I had specified. He was swift in all correspondence, the car was delivered in immaculate condition with a really wonderful and kind driver.
There was a slight issue with the air con - but given it had been with the company in the colder weeks, I don’t think it could have been anticipated there may be a slight fault.
I had it mended at my expense, with the funds for the repair transferred to my account the same day!
I couldn’t be more happy that an important investment for our 17year old was managed so well, and we have an excellent little car.

A straight forward dealer. Car was as described, booked a test drive, car was ready and waiting, A couple of minor issues picked up on the test drive, promised to be fixed before pick up- they were. Call back a week later to check all was okay- it was. Great little car. Great dealer would recommend.

WORSE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.

Was "recommended" to this car dealer by a broker,now I'm thinking that they both work together,anyway,on arrival,i saw the car was just only being given a quick jetwash,something that should have been done prior,along with a nice little polishing since the car was booked for collection days in advance.
There's major scratches that run along the front doors to the back doors,on both sides,that wasn't described or shown in the ad.Scratches looks like someone tried to pass between some ballards after the photos was taken and posted on Autotraders,was told "a quick Polish by a pro (for around £40) should rectify that"...hmmmm!
Still took the vehicle only because I'd travelled from London by train and uber to get there,an over 5 hours journey,felt a bit pressured to take the vehicle to be honest,since the finance was already done three days prior,and i had no intention spending another 5hrs 30mins going back to London by train.
Then there was absolutely no petrol in the vehicle,the fuel gauge didn't even move a millimeter when the ignition was turned on,luckily I managed to make it to a nearby petrol station two minutes away,which is where i also found out there was also no windscreen washing fluid,something so very basic that they should have done during the servicing they claimed to have carried out just few weeks prior,according to their service history recordings.Anyway,purchased a bottle of screen wash after fulling up the petrol,only to find out that the bonnet stand was missing,so had to hold up the bonnet with one hand while fulling up the screen wash liquid.
After fulling up the reservoir,tried out the wind screen wipers, guess what, the nozzles on one side of the vehicle was missing.
By the way,I later found the bonnet stand in one of the door pocket,which can't be reinstalled due to it being the wrong stand for the vehicle.
Tried starting the car the following morning, DEAD!.Spent all day back and forth with them about the battery that wouldn't jump start.Finally got the "go ahead" to purchase a new battery,but only when everywhere was already closed,due to it being a Sunday,but they agreed to only cover £60 of the cost,a £60 refund that i LITERALLY had to beg for via calls and WhatsApp texts.
Also,moss in the window corners,mold on the inside,paint flaking off the roof (that also wasn't advertised)
Bits of dried mouldy food between and under the seats,missing parcel shelf,no mats,dirty dusty interior,seats needed a good scrub,passenger side headlight held on by one screw.
The fact that they thought the car is good enough for customers, shows the type of human beings they are and the type of business they run.
Anyway,
Low oil level
Cigarette lighter hanging of
Handbrake barely holding
rip on driver side front tyre.
I understand it's an older car,but that doesn't mean it should be an unsafe car,doesn't mean safety should be pushed aside.
It's a secondhand vehicle,but United Traders Limited you failed massively.One stars from me,and that's only because i was expecting the engine management light to appear on my way back to London,but it didn't.
Go ahead United Traders Limited, put "FAKE REVIEW" under this review as well.
Honestly, I wish there was a "No Star" option.

We purchased our grandsons car 3 years…

We purchased our grandsons car 3 years ago from Adam and his team at United Traders. We had exceptional service from them at the time and we have used them again and again since then for other grandchildren that have reached driving age. I would not hesitate to recommend them. They are the most honest, genuine, 2nd hand car dealers I have ever experienced and I am genuinely happy to return to them time and time again.
