Painfully slow responses to emails. No responsibility taken or sympathy given for their faulty products (supplied faulty).
Unmanned Tech supplied us with a DOA charger. Now 2-weeks later, still waiting for closure on this... Looking at previous customers experiences, I think we're in it for a good while longer yet!

Look, we’re the first to admit when we’ve dropped the ball, we’re a small team of humans and we definitely make mistakes. But in this case, it feels like we’re being roasted for actually trying to be helpful. We only delayed the return because you asked to keep the charger for your race event since the DC side was still working. We chose to keep you flying rather than stick to the rulebook, so being called 'painfully slow' for that favor is a bit of a gut punch. Refund is already done, but man, no good deed goes unpunished!

Ich habe mir 2024 eine FPV Drohne bestellt, leider habe ich nicht beachtet, dass beim Liefern nach Deutschland noch Zollkosten anfallen. Es wäre schön wenn vlt auf der Website noch steht, wenn man seine Adresse an gibt, wie viel der Zoll kostet und es wäre schön, wenn die Preise auch in € angezeigt werden würden. DPD hat mit der Lieferung echt lange gebraucht, aber das ist ja nicht deren Schuld. Ich hatte abgesehen davon kein problem mit dem Shop und die auswahl an Produkten und deren Preis ist echt super.

Zoll- und Einfuhrkosten sind leider so ein Thema, das man oft erst beim ersten Mal wirklich auf dem Schirm hat. Dein Hinweis war absolut berechtigt und genau durch solches Feedback haben wir nachgebessert.
Inzwischen bieten wir für EU-Kunden DDP-Versand an. Das bedeutet, dass alle Zoll- und Einfuhrkosten direkt beim Bestellen berechnet werden und wir die komplette Zollabwicklung übernehmen. Keine Überraschungen bei der Lieferung und kein zusätzlicher Aufwand mehr für dich.
Danke auch, dass du die Verzögerung bei DPD nicht uns angelastet hast. Umso mehr freut es uns, dass du mit der Produktauswahl und den Preisen insgesamt zufrieden warst.

Customer service that actually restores your faith in customer service
Buying drone components online can feel like rolling dice with the shipping gods.
But dealing with Diane at Unmanned Tech was the rare experience where everything actually got sorted, quickly, clearly, and with zero nonsense. I had a few hiccups (entirely my own fault), yet she handled every one of them with patience, clarity, and genuine professionalism.
Emails were answered faster than my drone’s GPS lock, refunds processed without a single headache, and every message came with the kind of customer support that feels nearly extinct these days.
If the drone industry had a customer service Hall of Fame, Diane would be in it.
I’ll absolutely be back for future orders, ideally fewer accidental duplicates next time.
Five stars, easily.

Amazing FPV Brand
After a year of FPV, UMT has always been my go-to to buy my FPV gear, every order has come within two days of clicking check out. Once I even forgot my radio batteries and ordered them late at night and recieved them the next morning(I genuinely have no idea how that happened!). The support is mega from the community over on the DroneTrest Discord as is it from emails. Not to mention the pricing is usually the cheapest out there. Definitely my first choice FPV brand and often my first recommendation to newbies!

I placed an order with Unmanned Tech and then realised that I'd made a mistake after paying and the product I wanted was no longer in stock. A real person answered my query and changed my order with no problem at all. Drone arrived and as a newbie I was unable to activate the GPS so I contacted Unmanned Tech to see if they could suggest something. I was expecting some vague reply about looking at the manual etc but I was surprised and delighted to find an email from another real, named person with a bespoke solution for my problem and a schedule of actions I should take and the order in which I should make the changes Result was that 30 minutes after reading the email all was working perfectly. I have not had after sales service like this for decades. In future I will buy all my kit from here. I'd much rather back-order something knowing I had proper after-sales than get it tomorrow and be left in the cold with a bricked drone.

Great if you don't mind the wait
After 30+ orders with UM these are my Ps & Cs.
Pros:
- Good selection on the website,
- Well priced,
Cons:
- They state same day dispatch but really its same day tracking generated and the parcel is collected the next day (at best) when royal mail comes to collect, even if you pay for faster postage.
- Browsing the website is a pain unless you know exactly what you're after. Needs better filters
- Contacting them can be very slow, but when they do reply its normally knowledgable.

Blimey, 30+ orders. First off, thanks for basically funding our entire year's supply of Jaffa Cakes. We genuinely appreciate the loyalty.
Okay, let's get into the cons, because your feedback is bang on.
On the dispatch times, you’ve highlighted a super frustrating point for both of us. We have a hard 3 PM cut-off, and 99% of orders placed before then are physically packed and handed to Royal Mail that same day. The issue, and where you've rightly noticed a delay, is that Royal Mail's own tracking system sometimes doesn't update until much later that evening, or even the next day. So while your parcel is on its adventure, their system is still telling you it's with us. We do do miss the odd order (we're human!) but it its by far the exception rather than the rule.
Regarding support speed, we know the wait can be a pain. It's a conscious trade-off we've made: instead of a generic, instant reply, we want you to get the best answer from someone who actually knows the tech inside-out. The bottleneck is that the person best qualified to answer is sometimes busy doing 100 other things. It's not the perfect system, and improving that response time is what we are working towards constantly finding little things to make things faster internally.
And the website filters... yeah. You found our secret shame. It’s on our to-do list, right after ‘figure out where that weird burning smell is coming from’.
Seriously though, this is the kind of detailed, constructive feedback that actually helps us improve. Cheers for taking the time, and for sticking with us.
Appalling, very slow customer service. Avoid.
My advice is to avoid using Unmanned Tech at all costs. I ordered an FMS Ranger Trainer 850mm (Ready to Fly) through their website. While the Ranger arrived faulty and could not be flown, I fully appreciate that this was more than likely an issue from the factory and not the fault of the supplier, Unmanned Tech.
However, the support thereafter was woeful. It took 38 days from me reporting the issue to finally having a complete refund settled, after an agonisingly slow period of troubleshooting.
When it was finally decided for me to return the RC plane, which was dead on arrival, the return postage system is inadequate. They're not willing to cover the costs of a proper tracked delivery system with adequate insurance for an item worth £170. So, worryingly, you're left in the lap of Evri.
Instead of having a direct way to support your concern, you're left to post on a forum and receive extremely slow replies - at times six days between correspondence. Their customer service is appalling. Unmanned Tech - if demand is high and you're busy, hire more people to satisfy what is required rather than leaving customers in the lurch for so long.
I would highly advise anyone to avoid buying through Unmanned Tech. There is zero sense that they care or that you are ever a priority.

There’s no way to spin this: we’re sorry. We took a frustrating situation with a faulty product and made it infinitely worse through our own slow and inadequate processes.
You’ve laid out some serious, painful truths about our systems. Our forum-based support is intended to build a public knowledge base, but for a time-sensitive DOA product, it was the wrong tool for the job. It was slow, impersonal, and a terrible experience for you. We see that now.
Your advice to 'hire more people' is heard. We are a very small team, and your case has brutally exposed what happens when our systems can't cope with the demand. It is a hard lesson that we are not growing fast enough to prevent customers like you from being badly let down.
The worst part for us is reading that you felt we didn’t care. Our actions (or lack thereof) gave you every reason to feel that way. We can't fix the 38 days of frustration we caused, but we can thank you for taking the time to write this. It’s feedback like this that forces necessary, painful change. We're taking it to heart.
