My movers were efficient, polite, and very quick. Despite a huge downpour they managed to move all of my belongings very quickly and they took great care in the packing and unpacking of my things. They were also quite considerate of building hallways, doorways, etc. They let me know tipping was entirely optional but I was happy to do so. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to move in NYC.

Due to unexpected circumstances, we had to schedule a move three days prior to our move day and I was a little bit worried about not being able to find a good team of movers. While googling my way around, I came across Unpakt and was really relieved with their amazing web interface and ease of booking movers. From the day we booked until the day following our move, we received updates about our move plans and customer service contacted us a day before our move to confirm that everything is OK. With all the craziness that goes with the moving plans, not worrying about whether the movers will show up or they will over-charge us for some funny reason was such a relief on our end.

The movers did show up on time; they were quick and were knowledgeable about the item counts that we reported on the site. The pricing was fair/precise, so don't expect any hidden fees if you have a good sense of what your inventory is.

The whole experience was great; but I wish the service allowed us to submit the number of boxes with some flexibility. One thing was neither us nor the movers did know the exact difference between different box sizes, so make sure you get that count right. Also, it is/was really hard to estimate the number of boxes within a few days of time frame; so for our short-notice case, we had to alter the counts to account for a few extra boxes that creeped into our inventory on last minute. I wish the pricing was on groups of, let's say, 5 boxes so that you can at least get and estimate for 20-25 boxes instead of, let's say, exactly 23 boxes.

My first experience with Unpakt was also the first time I was moving in New York City and all by myself. I was nervous about the whole process, because in the past, I had always had help from my parents or a friend.

Luckily, my former roommate referred me to Unpakt and I'm so glad she did! She showed me how easy it was to create an inventory, pick a moving company, and schedule a moving date and time. I was sold immediately because Unpakt's features simplified every aspect of moving.

My favorite feature was the ability to create an inventory and list all the items you were planning to move. There was no guesswork involved and I felt that the quoted prices from the moving companies was fair for the amount of stuff I had. I also appreciated that at any time before my move, I could add or delete items from my inventory.

Unpakt called me a day after I booked my movers to go through my moving plan with me and answer any questions I may have had, which I thought was great. It's one thing to offer services, but another to follow up and make sure everything would run smoothly!

Whenever my friends mention that they're planning to move soon, I always bring up Unpakt. They helped me feel so much more at ease about my move and it was a breeze. I already know for my next move that I will be using Unpakt again!
