I had a really great experience with Green Motion, and I would especially like to recognise Godfrey for his outstanding customer service. From the moment he assisted me, he was incredibly kind, welcoming and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth and stress-free.

Be carefull when using this company.
I arrived at Gatwick to be picked up with a vehicle that had Green Motion car rental on the side, and this caused confusion as i booked with easy jet car hire, and they used USAVE car hire.
Additional insurance costs are massive
and i thought i had taken the additional insurance at time of booking. £2000 deposit held for 30 days. Staff not frendly and basically just tried to rip me off.

My first booking with U-Save using Booking.com failed as in I turned up at Gatwick airport for a car on time on a Friday night to find my booking had been cancelled on the system with no cars available. Booking.com showed the car booking was still active both on the app and after contacting them. (NOT A HAPPY PERSON) As it was a Friday night and getting late tried other car outlets all empty so had to use trains and taxis.
I rebooked a car via Booking.com from U-SAVE for the earliest Sunday and checked there would be a car on Saturday. before paying out for another train ticket to collect the car. This car hire was good. Still waiting for the deposit to be returned to my credit card over 2 weeks after a clean return. Company say the bank and the bank say the company.

There should be toll waring display especially for travellers outside UK

I was expecting a Skoda but there wasn't one available so I was given an MG. Very spacious and comfortable to drive.
I wasn't told how to read the fuel gauge being a hybrid but was expected to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel.

Paying 63 GBP as a processing fee for a 60 GBP fine was outrageous.

Car rental was fine. After return, was notified that I had some outstanding parking fees (they were charged by mistake and immediately rectified by the parking authority). Even though the error was not made by me, this car rental company insisted on charging me its exorbitant administration fees. I explained the situation in detail and U-Save/Green Motion could easily have cancelled their fees when they realised what had happened, as a simple goodwill gesture, but it refused to budge. Very disappointing that U-Save/Green Motion think it's perfectly fine to take advantage of customers caught in the middle of a clerical error made by somebody else.

All round a very positive experience. The shuttle bus arrived promptly, yes there was a queue to collect my car, but for a bank holiday weekend they were dealing with clients very quickly. Maybe a 15 minute wait. I had been worried about being given the hard sell for insurance (as I don’t need it as I have my own annual policy). But this didn’t happen. They offered, I declined. End of story. No guilt tripping or scaremongering. The staff were polite, friendly and courteous. The car was a fabulous MG, spotlessly clean and great to drive. Drop off was seamless and straightforward. The shuttle bus was ready and waiting to whizz me back to T5. I will definitely use again as such great value and service. Thank you.
