I usually don't leave reviews but for vacation express I had to. I'm writing this in hope that someone doesn't encounter the current nightmare that I'm dealing with due to Vacation Express. My Wedding is scheduled for February 2023 and it is a destination wedding with over a 100 guest making the conscious effort to attend. We were recommend to work with vacation express by the hotel resort that were staying at during the wedding and if I could go back in time I would never have even entertained the conversation. Vacation Express requires a deposit for you to reserve a hotel booking block in which they create a website for your guest to book there rooms. The money had to be paid upfront, no questions asked, for this website to be worked on and created in which this process took over a month just to start. Fast forward 3-4 months later, this website is a $#%#$% joke and still not functioning correctly. My wedding guest have complained countless amounts of times, with them trying to reserve rooms, change dates, and make payments. Nothing works.
The frustrating part is getting in contact with vacation express and there terrible customer service who can only save "were working on it". Mind you, this is 4 months after the hefty deposit was taken. Time is now against me and I'm considering legal action. To the next wedding couple that is planning a vacation or wedding of any sort, please save yourself the stress and avoid this company. I can go on for days about this company, if any can help me outside of vacation express with this matter, please reach out to me.

Worst service I got from them. Don't book with them took my money booked me wrong room and wanted more money out of me to switch me to cheaper room. Tried calling them and emailing them no response, responded to me 3 days later when my vacation was almost over and offer me to downgrade the room and pay $100 more per day for the room that faces mountains. Don't waist your money with this travel company. Look somewhere else. Stayed in Antigua Royalton that was highly recommended by them. Never again I will use them they lost my business.

I had an issue during checkout from a recent stay at Breathless Punta Cana. We were denied checking out until we paid for a massage that had been pre-paid. It resulted in us being charged twice. After our travel agent refused to help, I called VE and received instructions on how to file a dispute. The extra money we were charged was refunded quickly and customer service was very helpful. Thank you VE for making this situation right!

The transfer service was terrible. Never use shared transfer throw Vacation Express. They took us from hotel 6 hours before flight and we were only hour away from airport. We came to airport 4.5 hours before flight . We had to wait another 1.5 hours before we could register for the flight and check the language. We use different companies before many times and never had to come to airport that early. Never again!

I booked a vacation to Mexico last year through VE that went perfectly. I booked again for this year and the whole trip turned into a mess but no fault of Vacation Express. Carlos reached out to me to see if he could help the situation and provided outstanding customer service. I would recommend Vacation Express to anyone wanting to plan a vacation. Easy to book, payment plans offered and the most attentive customer service I have ever received. I will absolutely be using them again in the future.

Update*** After posting here and BBB Carlos from VE reached out to me to help. He offered me the same solution, finally someone did, that I had been recommending to rebook the trip and applying the $450. Unfortunately my husband had already booked through a local agent. So the company is not a total scam. I would recommend be very careful with bookings and check often and call. I’m not sure how they got so many requests from me. I also recommend VE train your employees to actual help rather than brushing your customers off and making us feel second class. It is our hard earned money we are spending.

Scam!!! Stay away!! Told me I sent in 5 requests to cancel my books trip and charged me $225 per person ($450 total) for cancellation. I never cancelled I didn’t even know of cancellation. I received the travel documents the day after the alleged cancellation request. Called them twice and then requested to speak to manager who all said it’s non-refundable, while I was not even asking for a refund I wanted my booking back! Was told by Ms. Martinez I can book again but won’t get the $450 back. Like why would I do that do you can cancel yourself again and charge me $450 again?!?!? You receive 5 requests same day and you don’t think to call the person to confirm if they are cancelling?!? Wouldn’t a stable person think it’s possibly a glitch to receive 5 requests together same day?!?!?

The staff at Vacation Express were great. They helped me with any and all hurdles I had pre and post trip. I will be a repeat customer. Thanks again Vacation Express

This was my first time using this company and it was a seamless trip. Easy to book, they offer a payment plan, accommodations including airfare and bus trip to hotel were spot on, along with so many other positive experiences. I am recommending everyone to use Vacation Express for all of their travel needs!

I did a review on Vacation express a while back I came back to re review them a Very helpful Agent named Carlos reached out to me to investigate my claims after review of the issue I was offered a small token of compensation to resolve the issue and as a gesture of goodwill vacation express was able to get back the portion that was lost for hotel fees and accommodations due to cancellation I am very Thankful for the help that I received even this trip has past they still came back and assisted me as much as they could I will in the future use Vacation Express again Thank you for your help and service in helping to do what you could to resolve the issue

Vacation Express has ruined my birthday. A travel agent booked through their site for my birthday trip for 7 girls. Everyone paid their deposit. 2 of the girls has been hospitalized due to Covid and the travel agent has tried countless times to contact VE to let them know before the rest of the group paid. Now it is 14 days before my trip after the remaining girls has paid the total amount. VE is now telling me that I will have to pay $1200 for the canceled girls tickets even tho they are not going.We have tried countless times to get in contact with VE to cancel for them. I have been calling everyday and I’m getting so many different answers. I’m just so overwhelmed. This place is horrible! Do not book

Booking #2626823 So we used a voucher from a previous trip to go to cabo.Resort was terrible food was disgusting. Our all inclusive consisted of maybe 2 of the 5 restaurants open per night, no nightly entertainment and 2 beers a,water and 2 sodas in our stocked fridge.Make sure to do your research of resorts they put you in..Booked 3 excercusions through vacation express because they told us it was cheaper that way. That's a lie. Did not give us any times for the excursions resort had no info so we barely made it to 1 of them. They tried to call but couldn't understand the lady because she spoke Spanish ( at least I believe) definetly not English. Told us we could do the sunset party cruise but got picked up at 11:10am when I questioned It was told it was a 4 hr cruise you walked ate and shopped. I guess the sun sets at 3 in cabo? I would never EVER book through them again and will let my friends and family know as well. If no refund is offered I will definitely be reporting to the BBB because I feel as though I was scammed out of 2000.

In response to what you offered me 200.00 and a voucher? First of all was never informed of a in destination team so yes maybe that would have solved alot of problems had I been informed there was one.You yourself said you have heard alot of feedback from customers stating only a few restaurants were open at resorts. Then why not let your customers know that BEFORE they book. People do your research we were told we would have a fully stocked bar..A LIE..24 hr food and beverage access A LIE..Nightly entertainment A LIE..Access to 5 restaurants no reservations needed A LIE!! Also check your excercusions you book with them they do not give you times and not all provide transportation resort told us it would cost 80.00 round trip to get to one of ours!

When I received poor service I wrote a review so it’s only right I write one now that I’ve received good service. The issues I had with Vacation Express was rectified very quickly and professionally. I appreciate the quick customer service I received and will be giving them another go but I’ll be using their services directly this time.

I received a call from VE by Spencer Williams he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, he was able to get our credits back. He apologized for all the confusion and I appreciate it. Thank you so much Spencer!

I wish I can give this company zero stars, I booked a trip to Cancun departing last September, we suddenly had to cancel because there was an unexpected death in the family, we was told we had an airline credit and a voucher credit with VE received an email on the total credits for each. Initially was told we needed to book our airline by July 2022 ( of which we tried to). Called to rebook a trip in May 2022 everything seemed fine as I thought, received a call a week or so later asking for our advantage number for the airline of which we provided. Then received and email days after that stating our flights were canceled because we don't have a credit with the airline. Confused and concerned as to how can that be when we canceled or vacation for the previous year and was told we had airline credit. After going back and fourth with several agents and was told 3 different stories by all agents. The final agent told us we don't have a credit because it was a basic economy ticket; (which still doesn't add up if you cancel a flight whether it's basic or first class you receive a credit; the terms on using maybe different but there is a credit). I've called the airline and spoken to them they told us that VE never canceled our flight with them so they have down pretty much no call no show for the ticket this is why we don't have a credit. I've been calling VE asking to speak to a supervisor and each agent refuses to allow me to speak with one they all said the same thing "my supervisor is not willing to take the call because they are going to tell you the same thing" referring back to a basic economy ticket. I need proof my flight was canceled through the airline this company scammed me out of almost $700; but keep trying to have me rebook my flight with them to pay the cost of the flight in full. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Mr. Rodriguez from VE reached out to me regarding my review on 5/25/22. He showed care and concern for the problems we ran into. He even compensated me for my additional costs. I was impressed by the company’s response.

I booked a seven night stay through Vacation Express to Playa de Carmen in the Ocean Riveria Maya the A/C BEEN OUT SINCE OUR CHECK IN ON Saturday MAY 7,2022. This is total out the box. We have asked to speak to the General Manage of hotel he is never Available. So if you plan on coming to this resort cancel ASAP.

NOW IM GETTING MARRIED AND NEED TO CHANGE THE DATE FOR MY HONEYMOON AND THE TRIP HAS DOUBLED. CAN’T GET A REFUND. MY TRIP HAS DOUBLED SINCE I INITIALLY BOOKED. YOU HAVE TO PAY TO CHANGE THE DATES. Horrible company with no regard to their customers.

After having to cancel my trip in Jan 2022 due to Covid and a two month battle to get accurate information about cancellation charges, I was forced to rebook with this awful company due to only getting credit.

Trip was rebooked for end of Feb 2022. Traveled 9 hours to find out Vacation Express never booked my hotel. Stood in lobby for 3 hours. Called support and was hung up on after being told there was nothing they could do and other customers were waiting. Left me high and dry to fend for myself. Thankfully the hotel manager had pitty for me and my family and found us a room.

Now 24 hours later and had to use my credit card to secure the rooms, still no word from despicable Vacation Express.

Word to the wise, avoid this company at all cost.

Update 3/1…. Now 48 hours later and no contact from horrible Vacation Express. The unprofessionalism is record breaking.

Update 5/5. Went to check out and Vacation Express still did not make sure my reservation was fixed. Had to wait a half an hour to get it all straightened out. The response below talks about their automated response that still left me high and dry.

Carlos was very helpful in resolving my issue post travel. The whole team at vacation express is great.

I have used Vacation express for travels to Cancun and Punta Cana 6 times in the last 6 years and have not had any problems with them. The charter flights were basic economy flights and transportation to and from hotel was mostly timely. will definitely use again.

Edit - It's NOT a scam, just another company is calling me five times a day with the same name trying to book me, but vacation express has taken legal action against them.

It's an absolute scam. They phone you like five times a day, at least once a day, promising a free night, then they try to sell you a vacation. Like a 5 day vacation for 10% of the original cost.
A complete scam.
