I have recently joined Virtualnonexecs. Edward Lewis been my advisor from beginning. Based on couple of one to one meetings and correspondence in between I found Edward to be professional, supporting and someone who understands senior roles.
The resource base on Virtualnonexecs seems very good and well organised. I am already establishing contacts with members.

For me, this experience was a waste of time and focus. The primary aim of this organisation seems to be revenue generation rather than fulfilling a mission (e.g. matching candidates with positions). Mission-driven companies usually do better than revenue-focused companies.

The "review" of my profile ended up being a most likely AI-generated summary that was written with the sophistication of a 16-year old school drop-out. I had to rewrite it entirely.
The "meeting" after sign-up was an onboarding meeting to a platform that doesn't need onboarding since, apart from the occasional unpaid board roles, has nothing on it.
After the "meeting", Steve Benson promised to send me roles that are not on the website. He kept promising for the same day, EOD. It never came.
But you can clearly see Steve Benson in front of his Porsche on his whatsapp picture!

Really disappointed by this service. I had numerous tech issues when I set up where I wasn't being shown on the matching service. It took months to fix. I had two matches in 11 months and I found it so disappointing. I asked for a partial refund after I realised how much this wasn't for me and didn't work at all as I imagined, but I was told that wasn't the policy. This is such a lot of money when starting out but no consideration for this. I noticed that many of the jobs weren't actually on their site but pulled through from elsewhere. I thought this wss a terrible experience where I eas sold something undelivered. No value experienced other than disappointment and frustration. I've fed all this back throughout.

I think it's shocking they have your membership on auto review. No real customer service or value. I asked the team to ensure I wasn't going to be charged and just received a notification to say money would be charged. I think I've managed to cancel in time. But really this was the prompt for me to leave the public review. Full of people making money for money sake without giving a shit.

I have received nothing but a great all round experience working with Virtual Non executives team. I have met many other people and organisations offering similar services in this space who are unprofessional, never deliver on their promises and should be avoided, VNDX are in a different league.

You do need to invest time and effort yourself, but that’s the same for anything worth doing. I met Ian for a coffee, he introduced me to the Virtual Non Execs, 2 days later he’d connected me to business founders who I’m now working with.

Excellent experience. We utilised the platform to find a non-executive director that could join our growth journey and help to close our funding round. The applicants were of a high standard, relevant to our requirements, and as a result, we hired two NEDs. I'd recommend it to start-ups, VCs and PE firms.

Virtualnonexecs has simply not worked for me. As a Dubai-based professional, I was promised that the organisation had a fast-growing footprint in the region, and that they wouldn't take my money if they weren't confident about matching me with relevant opportunities. But in more than 12 months there have been no relevant job ads and zero useful connections/approaches, despite efforts to fine tune my profile/searchability. Perhaps I could have been more proactive on the VNED and BoardAI websites, but - as a refund has been refused - I am now just chalking this off as a waste of my time and money.
It feels like a clear case of overpromising to get you in and underdelivering once your money is paid.
