Through the years, doctors would always tell me not to worry about something and not to bother getting tested. 3 years ago I decided to become a “citizen scientist” and started ordering my own labs. Walk-in-labs made the process so easy and affordable and improved my health immensely. I’m even paying less than I’ve ever paid for doing testing. It’s as easy as 1-2-3 where you can order a test now and go get tested tomorrow morning. Thanks Walk-in labs!

Not a good experience at all.
Not the greatest experience I’ve had and I would give them a 0 star if I could. My last call with customer service ended with the lady talking over me constantly when I’m trying to explain my problem, but that was only the last straw.
I kept being given reorders (six or seven times!) for one lab test out of three that they could never get right or damaged the sample. While the reorders were free, my time was wasted as I kept having to go back to get the orders redrawn and they wanted me to go to another drawing site, but guess what, that’s a whole other hour away from where I live!
In short, the customer service kept pinning my reoccurring issue on the drawing site, the drawing site kept pinning it on the lab, and the lab kept telling customer service something else and now the I’m getting the whole “we can’t do anything else deal.” For weeks this went on!
I was understanding the first few times, but it hits the point where I know that no one is doing their job and I’m the one stuck with the short end of the stick. All I can say is they have lost a customer and if they had done their done correctly they would have made a lot more money off the me from all the tests I needed instead of giving me reorders. I prefer having my actual lab results over freebies!

Walk-In-Lab is great
Walk-In-Lab is great; always reliable and efficient. They immediately provide a digital order with all relevant details. Furthermore, it has been invaluable in terms of being able to use abnormal labs to advocate for myself when dealing with my HMO healthcare providers. Prices are great, and they frequently offer discount promo codes. Additionally, they have a points reward system that seems to add up pretty quickly, allowing for a $20 discount on a few lab orders this past year. Result turnaround times are reasonable and comparable to labs done through my healthcare provider; this also depends on type of assay and processing speed of chosen lab(Quest or LabCorp).

Easy to schedule, accurate, easy to use portal, good all around system. Also, It is wonderful to be able to privately have testing that may confirm or rule out things when doctors are unaware or unable to seek testing. Very helpful when seeking second opinions, to be able to say to a second opinion doctor you are trying to be seen with, "My doctor said it could not be X, and would not test for it, but I have this test from WalkInLab that confirms X absolutely, so may I consult with you?" Also, conversely, good for peace of mind to rule out certain conditions.

I'm so glad this option exists!
I see several specialists, and one of them did a great job ordering a lot of essential tests. However, she left out some tests I felt were important, and refused to order them. For example, she wouldn’t test my Vitamin D levels, which I knew could be an issue. When I finally tested it myself, it came back at 36.9. Technically “normal,” but definitely not optimal and something I need to monitor and address more aggressively.
I didn't want to wait and risk delays asking one of my other providers, so I decided to order the tests myself. The process was super easy and convenient. The actual appointment at the lab was just five minutes. I was impressed with how quick and hassle-free it was. Plus, I received my results the very next day.
I’m very happy this option is available for proactive patients like me who want to take control of their health!
