What a shambles.

I booked a skip to be delivered for a Friday. I was then told after I booked that the next available slot was a Monday. Fine, I thought.

Monday comes and I’m home waiting for the skip (having lost time over the weekend to doing the work I wanted to do). No skip by 13:00, no indication of when it’s coming (giving delivery windows is too difficult apparently).

I ring customer services and ask what’s happening and I’m told it’ll be delivered within the hour.

I ring three hours later and I’m told that the driver has run out of driving hours (‘but nobody told us’) and it’ll be coming first thing tomorrow.

How can a company exist when staff are just calling it quits half way through the day and not telling the people that need to know?!

I can’t believe something so basic has been made so difficult. I want an empty metal container to put junk into. Then I want someone to come and take away the formerly empty container.

Hopeful to see a big yellow empty receptacle tomorrow. But then again maybe not.

Very efficient, despite it being short notice, skip was here bright and early for the works to start. Collection was supposed to be 5 days but they collected within a few hours of calling. Excellent service all round.

Booked Waste King for some domestic rubbish removal. The online booking system is easy to use and the guys contacted me on my mobile 15 minutes before they arrived.

This is about the third time I have used Waste King and I’d recommend them to anyone.

The two stars are for the guys who turned up to remove the waste, who were not from Waste King, but a subcontractor. They were good guys. Waste King themselves are a disgrace and their customer service is virtually non-existent. Look for furniture removal on the web and they will instantly pop up saying they service your town - they don't without charging a premium. I think they only really service places within 250 yards of their front door. And the prices are outrageous, all worked out by how many washing machines your load equates to! Barmy or what? I didn't want to get rid of a washing machine. But by their own calculations, it was going to cost around £800, whereas I figured it should be half of that. They are supposed to reimburse if this is the case when they turn up. Of course, they never turn up, someone else does. And that 'someone else' said to me, "Is this all you've got?" Naturally, I never heard from Waste King again ... and they shall never hear from me again. I can't believe companies like this have the nerve to ask for reviews!

Two men and two vans turned up at 7.30am. My only criticism would be they didn't ring the evening before to tell me a time but did ring before they arrived. An hour later the furniture was gone. They photographed everything as they went round. A great job done quickly and efficiently.

Delivered on time, took away ontime. No hassles. Deffo use again.

I hired a man & van collection, they arrived as arranged and removed all the waste. Straightforward to arrange.
