Water babies is amazing!
Water babies is amazing!!
My little one has been a water babies baby since 6months, now 3y7m, we have had a few water wobbles along our journey and I cannot praise his instructor, Jackie, enough, she has been so patient with us and tried different angles and adapting things to keep the progress going! We have come through it all and can see such incredible progress and it’s all down to Jackie!!
The skills and confidence that is taught with the water babies journey is fantastic and as a nervous swimmer myself has even built my confidence as well as making sure I didn’t pass my nervousness onto my little one!
Very sadly we are coming to the end of our water babies journey, simply due to other commitments, we are going to miss it so much!

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I am very sorry for the disruption you have experienced due to the recent cancellations at your venue.
We understand how disappointing it is when plans change at the last minute, especially when you and your little one are looking forward to your swim. Our priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our swimmers: we simply cannot run lessons unless the pool water readings are exactly where they need to be to ensure a safe environment for children. Because these plant issues can occasionally develop overnight, we sometimes have to make the difficult decision to cancel on the day to uphold these essential standards. If we are in a postion to give more notice, we always do.
We have applied a full refund for the missed lessons to your account. We are monitoring the situation at the venue closely and hope to return to our usual reliable schedule very soon.
Water Babies classes with Jackie
Since my daughter was 4 months old, she has been swimming with Jackie at Water Babies, and honestly we could not have wished for a better teacher. The lessons are extremely well prepared, structured, and perfectly tailored to the children’s age and ability. The classes help all children become both confident and safe in the water, while remaining fun and engaging for both kids and parents.
Thanks to her experience and knowledge, Jackie is able to guide the whole class towards the learning goals while still paying close attention to each individual child. My daughter has loved EVERY lesson.

We love water babies. Lucie is our instructor and lots of fun each week. She’s so enthusiastic and makes each class fun. We’ve been doing lessons since my son was 3 months old (and he’s now 20 months). Essential part of our week.

We have been using Waterbabies Surrey…
We have been using Waterbabies Surrey North & South for our daughter for over 3 years. Jackie has been such a fantastic teacher over this time and been so patient with our daughter who has come on leaps and bounds from a nervous swimmer to now swimming independently and doesn’t want the lessons to end!
I would definitely recommend Jackie & Waterbabies and we will be returning with our little boy soon!

We’ve absolutely loved our experience
We’ve absolutely loved our experience with Water Babies. From the very beginning, the classes have struck the perfect balance between being fun and genuinely educational. Every activity feels purposeful, with a clear focus on building water confidence and embedding essential water safety skills from such an early age.
A huge part of what makes the classes so special is our coach, Tahlia. She has an incredible way with the little ones, calm, patient, and always encouraging. What really stands out is how she takes the time to explain the “why” behind each activity. That extra insight makes everything feel more meaningful as a parent, and it’s especially reassuring when doing things like submerging your baby underwater. It turns what could feel stressful into something you understand, trust, and even enjoy.
I really appreciate how consistently water safety is woven into every session without taking away from the fun. It gives me real confidence that my baby is not only enjoying the water, but also learning important lifesaving skills in a supportive environment.
We couldn’t recommend Water Babies and especially Tahlia more highly!

Water babies is great for little ones, but…
Water babies is great for little ones to get used to water and learn their skills. The issue I have is with the payment and booking system if you need to cancel a class in advance which I have done ahead of schedule, you get a token to use for a future class on a different day/date. The problem is I can’t make certain dates and one that I can e.g. the weekend are always booked up so no chance to use my token. Your payment should be deducted of the 1 lesson cost for the next month as otherwise we lose £20 just for not being able to make a class. It’s not very fair.

Regarding your feedback on replacement classes, we appreciate that finding weekend availability for catch-up classes can sometimes be challenging. Like other swimming lesson providers, our costs remain the same even when a swimmer is absent, which means we cannot operate on a pay-as-you-go basis. The replacement tokens are provided to give as much flexibility as possible within those fixed costs.
I am glad to see that you managed to book a catch-up lesson shortly after leaving your review. We genuinely want you to be able to use your tokens, so if you are struggling to find a replacement class on the online system again in the future, please do reach out to our friendly office team. They have a great overview of the schedule and can often help spot last-minute cancellations or find a suitable class for you.

It is a difficult review because on one…
It is a difficult review because on one hand, my 2 year old really enjoys the classes and has grown water confident, but on the other hand, we have been let down so many times the last couple months. Classes get cancelled an hour or so before we are about to leave, throwing plans off and disappointing an excited child. The facilities really let it down, e.g in the last lesson my child was constantly fussing about other peoples hairs that were in the pool, getting stuck/wrapped round in her hands etc. The pool needs to be cleaned at least weekly, the amount of various colour old hair in there and on the sides is horrible. The venue also cancel last minute because of maintenance issues when the pool area should always be maintained, rather than wait for an emergency. The lessons are expensive for their tiny age group, for 30 mins and given its completely parent guided. The teachers are lovely and very engaging with the toddlers, it's just the facilities around them that lets them down sometimes. All in all still happy we do lessons, as it is a great skill.

Our littlun has been going to water babies since he was 6 weeks old, and he’s so happy and has so much fun in the water now he’s 18 months. Our class is so much fun with teacher Lucy who makes sure the kids also learn safety and the building blocks for future swimming. He’s not keen on the noodle but Lucy is also very good getting kids comfortable, another in our class has come on leaps and bounds since she has been taking lessons.

About the teacher Jack she's amazing with us. But the school is complicated. We always have the cancelled lessons on the same day because there is a problem with maintenance, the baby needs routine but this is very difficult, sometimes we had 3 followed class cancelled.

Water babies sunbury
We have been doing doing waterbabies for over 2 years with Jackie. She is incredible with the children. She individualises each student and recognises where they can advance to and if there is extra support needed. My 2 1/2-year-old has the confidence to get in a Pool safe safely. He is able to swim a length of a pool with just a noodle device. He can jump into the water and swim to safety. He even show soph by floating on his back. Our baby is eight months in already has no fear of water.
I recommend this to everyone who has young children there's nothing more rewarding than see their progress and knowing that they are safe in the water

My son started Water Babies at 3 months old and he now almost 3. We have had the luxury to attend teacher Lucie’s class for a few months now and she is the best teacher we ever had!! Great baby swimming class
We've had a great experience with Water Babies - easy to get started, and the team is really responsive and helpful. Special mention to Lucie at Nuffield Surbiton, who is the very best. My son has had lessons with her since he was 5 months old, and I think he loves her even more than he loves me! Her classes are so fun, she makes everyone feel very safe and supported, and the progress even little babies make with her has been so impressive to see. We're only leaving because my mat leave is ending - hoping to be back in the pool very soon, it's genuinely the highlight of my son's week.

Great classes
My daughter has swam with water babies from 3 months to 4.5 years. 1st with Jackie until she was a toddler, and then with Lucie. Our classes have always been the highlight of our week. She is a strong, confident swimmer and I definitely put this down to the fun lessons that have built her skills and confidence over the years in the water. The teachers really engage with the children and build a strong relationship with them so they have the confidence to do new things and enjoy them.
