Overall, I had a very good experience with the staff at Waterstones. There were some unexpected delays, but that was mostly due to my partner living overseas and not completing some documents in a timely manner. I dealt mostly with Fiza who was always friendly and willing to explain the process and answer my questions. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Negligent company!

I used waterstone legal for my conveyancing, they were great at first until all the discrepancies unearthed after the exchange. They are not accepting fault for not doing their due diligence, the agreement they had made regarding retainers has not been met and a lot of the details from the exchange are still in question, including head lease, managing agent and ground rent. Initially I communicated these discrepancies in May a few weeks after exchange but no resolution yet. To add they had incorrectly filed my stamp duty, which added a lot of stress and anxiety from the numerous HMRC letters that were sent through. This took over 2 months to resolve due to their own admin error. I had sent a formal complaint to Shah Ali, as advised by legal ombudsman and the very many replies to negative reviews across all platforms, a couple of months ago, not only has he not personally looked into it, it has not been resolved.

Honey has just completed the exchange of contracts for our purchase. She was readily available and professional in the service she offered. Thank you Honey and the Waterstone legal team.

Avoid This Firm At All Costs

Shocking service. They knew all week that completion was set for today, yet the solicitor on the file went on holiday without preparing or properly handing it over. The person taking over clearly had no idea what they were doing.

My solicitor was palmed off with excuses about “other completions” while my buyer’s money sat in their account ready to go. The delays and stress were completely avoidable.

Total incompetence. If you want your sale to actually complete, avoid this firm.

Although we purchased a flat in auction, and the time limitation was critically important, Waterstone Legal keept the process as fast as can. We came across many challenges arising from AML checks and loan issues, and they indicated helpful attitudes towards the case.
Given that our funds origin are from overseas , they accept our case patiently, and their accuracy made us amazed.

Hello , I don’t usually leave reviews but I would like to say once again a big thank you to Waterstone Legal for helping me in purchasing my flat. Although I have never worked with them before and I was a lot nervous about taking on a new firm, my experience with WL has been flawless from start to end. I would like to emphasise on the fact that the price stayed the same from the quote point until the final payment (which does not always happen in these situations!). Secondly, I have worked with Ms Hredi Chhabria which was so easy to deal with , communication was always very effective and without delays which we all know can make a huge difference for our well being in these stressful processes.
Long story short, I would work again with Waterstone Legal and I recommend them for conveyancing matters!
