I was made an offer and was given the…
I was made an offer and was given the bait and switch routine for a lower offer. It wasn’t until I was ready to walk out and go to your competitor did my offer stand. The process took over 2 hours as the BM had to contact someone in another location over email several times with long delays between replies.

Bait and switch is an illegal and immoral business practice and does not happen at webuyanycar.com. We provide an online valuation estimate but never make an offer before appraising the vehicle. This is stated clearly on our website and in the valuation email you received. The Branch Manager should also have made you aware that the valuation is subject to inspection on the confirmation call, which is recorded for quality and training purposes.
Our Branch Manager did reach out to the corporate support team for advice because you were selling the vehicle on behalf of a company, and to discuss the accident history on the vehicle. As you will be aware, the Lincoln was involved in an accident on 11/23/2022 which was reported by Maryland Police and involved airbag deployment which is more serious than a fender bender.
Despite the pricing referral, I'm pleased to see that we were able to get you a check for the exact valuation you saw online. We apologize if due diligence was misinterpreted as anything but that. We should have communicated what we were doing better and are sorry this cost you the five-star customer service you deserve and expect from the nation's #1 rated auto dealer.

The process was quick and pleasant. We were shown everything involved in the pricing offered, and given an opportunity to make a counter-offer. They offered to pay us $500 more than a competitor. It was much safer than trying to do private sale, safer for us, safer for the purchaser.
