I applied to WeBuy cars for a vehicle buyer position. I did both the online assessment and the online video interview. They informed me that my audio in my video interview could not be heard. I re-did the interview 3 more times and all 3 times I tested my audio and it was fully functional. After all this they replied with a mail requesting telephonic assistance and asked If I would be fine with this. I agreed to this and after 5 Days of no response I sent them a mail asking them when we could pusue the matter, just by having a response telling me that I was unsuccesful with my application. So in other words they did not suggest a way forward and also did not consider giving me a fair chance to finish my video interview.

Horrible experience, I bought my car December 2022 Germiston branch, couple of months when I bought the car it started giving me problems, I went back to the branch and I was so disappointed because no one wanted to assist me, the guy who was helping me to buy resign, including management didn't want to help. To cut it short I ended up fixing few things with my own money. My car is under Gomo finance. I can't drive the car long distance. So now I was trying to do trade-in with other garage's I tried 3 different garage it was declining, only the last garage the guy told me that the car was written off it not supposed to be on the road, he even send me proof
I went to we buy cars they logged a call for me gave me reference number
Some lady gave me a call after 4 days I told her what happened she told me she will get back to me. It been 3 weeks now I'm still waiting for her to call me.
If I call customer care no want to assist me . Gomo finance came on the 10th March to fetch the car because I didn't make payments end off February. I still owe gomo finance R98 000
Today 18 March I got massage from gomo saying they will sell the R22 000

Disappointing experience with WeBuyCars.
I submitted a formal complaint and thereafter a letter of demand relating to a vehicle purchased that requires an engine replacement within months of sale.
Despite giving sufficient time and opportunity to resolve the matter, I have received no meaningful response.
An engine replacement is not a minor repair, and silence from a dealer after formal notice is concerning.
Escalation is now unavoidable.
Consumers should be aware of their rights under the Consumer Protection Act and the importance of proper after-sales support.

I brought a car last year on the 4th October 2025 from these clowns. The vehicle was a category B and before the month ended, I experience severe engine problems and noise coming from there. I spoke to them and they only took the car December 2025. They paid the money back but only in their account so that I can choose another car and not from another dealer. the money never actually made in back to my account so that I can make a decision comfortably. With that said I still trusted them and chose another car that was a bit more expensive. I bought the car cash on the 6th January this year and before I even got home, strange noises from the engine and the car lost power. These guys advised me to take the car to the nearest RMI. I am still waiting till Today, I can't sleep at night, can't focus at work and feel like I will only get never get the car. I opened cases with them, only to find out that they were closed without my concern. Now when we follow up on the cases, I get to the call centre which has this thing of hiding the people in charge of these cases. They call you whenever they want, they call me once a week and sometimes not at all. I tried returning the car to them but still failed. I logged cases with MIOSA, NCC. Guys be cautions and avoid them. I am now chasing them for 6 months and still told that I should wait, what kind of normal person would wait for 6 months on a cash deal? Be careful and remember this post. I have all the proof, emails, phone calls, showing how rude they are, call centre and customer care. These guys are the most ruthless dealers I've seen. If there was an option to score them a 0/5 I wouldn't hesitate. imagine 6 months chasing someone for your money. Don't know why they don't fix the cars first before people actually buy them.
