One star — buyer beware: unclear app charge and no refund even when unused
Buyer beware. I spent over $100 on a baby book, and while the book itself seemed overpriced but nice, the purchasing experience was very distressing.
What was not made clear to me was the app charge. I later found an unexpected charge of over $42 on my credit card for an app I did not know I had, did not need, and never used.
I contacted customer service and explained that I am the grandma, not the mom, so I have absolutely no use for the app. I also told them they should be able to verify that I never opened or used it. Their answer was basically: sorry, no refunds. I asked for the issue to be escalated to a manager, and the manager repeated the same thing.
So because of their unclear app charge and rigid no-refund policy, I ended up paying around $142 for a so-so baby book with their names on the cover.
In my opinion, this is a terrible way to treat customers. If a charge was unclear, their expensive app was never used, and the customer reaches out right away, the decent thing to do would be to refund it. Instead, they chose policy over fairness.
I would not buy from this company again, and I would strongly caution other grandparents or gift buyers to be very careful before ordering. What looks like a sweet baby book purchase can turn into a much more expensive experience than expected.

The product itself is nice, but be very aware of the app subscription as it is very costly £25/month and they just charge your account without any payment notice/reminder etc.
Due to so many adds during the ordering process, you are very inclined to just not notice this (as I did) and end up paying for something you are not fully aware of. In my opinion, that is a scam!

So many RED FLAGS....AVOID
Do not recommend this firm owing to their lack of transparency, non-refundability and/or partial refundability, many surprises, and very expensive monthly subscription fee for their app at $46++. Again not clear and if buying a gift, the app is not relevant..just want the book but not an option! BTW the monthly subscription fee is very high. Apps are usually $10/month...another red flag and the fact that there is no phone number to call for customer service. I spent so much time as a grandma, cancelling my card and dealing with this issue...NO THANK YOU

SCAMMERS
THEY ARE SCAMMERS. BEWARE of the hidden app subscription. They know exactly what they are doing, prying on busy parents with newborns, knowing you're too busy to realise the app subscription that they take every month. Also, their generic blanket response to reviews of "we are working hard to improve... blah blah blah.. is BS because the fix takes 20 mins at most but they've been saying they are improving for over 2 years if you read back the reviews from 2024. Disgusting company and team with no ethics.

Cheap feel. Not worth buying.
Very disappointed with the quality of the book. The contents are okay like the milestone guides. However, the paper’s too thin, the printing’s not good, and the total feel of the book is so cheap. It is not worth it paying £60! I could’ve just printed it on my own, it would’ve costed me less to make the whole book. I am very disappointed as I’ve seen it advertised as a quality book and it took me months before I finally purchased it. Will not recommend.
Update 29-06-26 I WAS CHARGED £24.59 for the baby app that I didn’t subscribe for! Such scammers! So sketchy that they say it’s free during the time you purchase the book, but there’s a hidden agenda of stealing money from you monthly!

Once you paid for the book, they continue to take £25 monthly off your account without telling you, claiming the small print subscription charges you NEVER signed up for! They further advertise themselves to be a UK company, after researching I learnt it's a few people based Lithuania in the middle of nowhere scamming UK consumers. I wish I had read these reviews before ordering a book, this is a FRAUD on a global scale, few people getting reach overnight by duping genuine consumers - mothers to be! Disgusting! They should be in jail!
