Pre-ordered a riftbound display last november. It released in February but still no delivery as of writing this review. They only want to give store credit instead of full refund when I ask to cancel the order. Scammer central, stay away!

I preordered Riftbound Spiritforge since it was the only site I saw that still offered a pre-order. Since I had experience with them in the past I trusted them on the delivery.
We have now end of May, and I still don't have the profuct although it was released in FEBRUARY 13, 26.
They blamed their distributor that they were allocated less product they expected. And waited for a reprint.
Now I have seen other stores selling Spiritforge Displays and it seems that only wellplayed is not shipping.
I can see in their discord chat that I am not the only one. But what is really UNACCEPTABLE is that they are doing the same SCAM now with the new set.

How can they be so irresponsible? And bait customers with the promise they deliver when they clearly can not??

Please do NOT support this scam any longer. Go for other shops like TwoMoons or Gleis 9 3/4 if you want to be treated right.

I hope they get sued fast. This is scam.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this situation has honestly become ridiculous.

I placed a preorder for Riftbound: Spiritforged at a price significantly above market value at least 2–3 months before the product was even released, expecting that paying a premium and ordering early would guarantee proper service and availability.

After the release, there was delay after delay with absolutely no proactive communication or updates from the store. Only after repeatedly reaching out myself over several weeks did I finally receive a response saying they had not received enough stock and were waiting for a second wave allocation.

I explained that if the delay became excessive, I would at least appreciate being informed transparently. No real clarification or follow-up was ever provided.

A month later — after more emails in March and April — I kept receiving the exact same generic response that they were “still waiting for updates.” At one point, they even confused my preorder with a completely different product (Riftbound: Origins instead of Spiritforged), which honestly destroyed any confidence I still had in the process.

We eventually agreed that I would wait until May, meaning over three months after the official release date of the product. Yet there was still no concrete information, no timeline, and no proper customer support.

I sent another email more than a week ago and never received any reply. Their phone number also appears not to work.

Overall, this has been an extremely frustrating experience and a complete waste of time, effort, and money. I would strongly recommend avoiding this store if you expect reliable communication or professional handling of preorders.

i can also confirm that they dont send your orders and only offer store credit for whatever reason (you can probably think of a few reasons)

Just read the other 1-star review. They don't send the ordered items and only offer store credits as refund...

Ich bin leider sehr unzufrieden mit diesem Laden. Eine Vorbestellung wurde angeboten, obwohl laut Aussage des Shops der Bestand nicht garantiert war. Trotzdem konnte man problemlos bestellen und bezahlen.

Nachdem ich meine Ware (bestellt im August 2025) bis heute nicht erhalten habe, wollte ich eine Rückerstattung beantragen. Anfangs war das nicht möglich, später wurde mir nur ein Store-Guthaben angeboten. Nach wochenlangem Hin- und Herschreiben kam schließlich gar keine Antwort mehr.

Leider kein zuverlässiger Shop – weder was Kommunikation noch Lieferungen betrifft. Ich kann nur abraten.

I pre-ordered a game with delivery expected (at the time of purchase) within 2 months. After almost a year, it still hasn’t arrived. They keep blaming their supplier, even though the game in question is available on other online sites.

The real problem is that they don’t offer a refund, only a store credit to be used on their website. Unfortunately, half of their catalog is out of stock. As a result, I’m forced to settle for spending the credit on a game I don’t need just to avoid losing the money I paid.

Avoid buying pre-ordered games or games that are not immediately in stock from this site, or you’ll lose your money.

I preordered and item on 17th of July, which would be released on 31st of October. By 31 st of December I still don’t have what I purchased.

I attempted to cancel but was denied, stated by wellplayed that they don’t allow cancellation of preorders.

They don’t fulfill the order but they don’t give the customer the money back.

DO NOT preorder from wellplayed.

Firma verkauft Artikel die sie gar nicht auf Lager hat... Nach endlosen Mails und Belehrungen nach über zwei Monaten jetzt endlich die Rückerstattung. Das kann man sich wirklich ersparen

Caution: even if they can't deliver a game they refuse to cancel your order or give you a refund. My money is gone. My recommendation: stay clear of this rip-off, and look for alternative and trustworthy board game online stores instead.

Awful company. I have paid for the game, for the international courier shipment I was not able to claim the refund for and then they decided they will not pass the game to the courier. So I ended up paying 20 GBP for the courier getting nothing. STAY AWAY! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Horrible customer service, they keep forgetting about the orders, waiting for the games can take a year sometimes, and they don't provide refund.

I didn t recive my package after 2months and there is no option to refund the product.

Bought something here ended up without my money and without the product
