Worth every penny, the Whistle has been invaluable!
The Whistle has been invaluable in keeping track of our dog, Henry. Although we have a fenced yard, he's very good at finding ways to escape and run around the neighborhood to visit friends. Having the Whistle gives me confidence that I can track him quickly and safely. It also gives me updates on his whereabouts when I'm out of town which gives me peace of mind that he is safe at home. I love getting health updates as well. Worth every penny, I highly recommend the Whistle!
Whistle is awesome!
My guy, Tyson, has had his Whistle tracker for almost 2 years. He needed to lose some weight, so we were watching his daily “steps” to make sure he was getting enough exercise. Fast forward, he began limping 4 months ago and had TPLO surgery early June. We use the tracker to monitor his restricted activity and started increasing his walks today. So, he has a goal again! Plus, I can show his surgeon how he is progressing.

The escape alert quickly let me know he had left our secure area & exactly where I could find him!

I'm stuck with their gift card which I can only!! Use in a standalone store or online. Birmingham hasn't got a standalone store so save your time spend a gift card in their concessions stores- they won't accept it.
I measured my way to St. Alban's purposely to use my gift card- well when I use the gift card as payment the gift card was not working so I was not able to use it. So wasted my way from Birmingham to St Alban's. Buying online is not convenient as their sizes vary!

False delivery claims and terrible customer service
I ordered this product through the Whistle website directly and really, really wish I hadn't.
They give you the option to have the device delivered in 2 days via FedEx if you pay an extra $15. I was going on a trip with my dog so paid for that option because - I needed it in time for the trip.
I then got an email confirming the device would be delivered a week later.
When I said I'd paid them for the 2 day delivery in good faith, they said - yes - but as soon as it leaves our warehouse we're not responsible for how long it actually takes.
So - they charge you for a service they clearly can't provide!
My holiday was of course screwed bc I couldn't let the dog off and had no time to purchase anything elsewhere.
And of course by the time I got back from the trip 10 days later, the package wasn't there. It had either been misdelivered or stolen in my absence.
It's been a month now of my having to chase FedEx and Whistle to get a refund and so far, no dice. Customer Service states it's my responsibility to sort it out.
So - don't be tempted to go direct - go anywhere but direct - I hate to say it but I've never had a problem with Amazon Prime Delivery or Chewy - they've both been amazing every time. These guys are cowboys and should be avoided at all costs.

Whistle is so helpful
Whistle is so helpful! When I call them they answer all my questions and I can keep track of my dogs scratching...i need to know when to give him an allergy shot and whistle tells me when his scratching is elevated.
Doggone good
We’ve had this device for a dog for over three years. He wants to run away and I was able to find them through the tracker. The weekly report also helped Mendocino monitoring the overall condition of our dog in a week to week basis. Strongly recommend it.
My whistle is very useful
My whistle is very useful. It is comforting to know that Huck is at home. He also takes walks three times a week and I can track his progress on each walk. For me, it is a very useful device.
Whistle is the greatest!
I have had 2 different versions of the Whistle tracker over the years, and the improvements are great! The tracking system works well and alerts me about where he is, even when we take a walk in the woods. The weekly activity and health report is a really neat addition and helps me know how my boy is doing in activity, sleeping and even in licking and scratching. I charge the tracker overnight when needed, but it holds the charge for quite a long time. When he is near the WiFi systems I have programed into the app, he doesn't drain the charge. Several different locations can be added. Whistle is the greatest!

Whistle is terrific for locating my dog. I also love the “Fitbit for dogs” stats on exercise, sleep, etc. A great product!
I really enjoy whistle
I really enjoy whistle. We have the activity and gps. It adds comfort to know where our dog is when out with the dog walker.
Inconsistent battery life between devices
I adopted two dogs from the same litter and each of them have a Whistle Go Explore. They are always together. I bought the Whistle because when I adopted them one of them ran away and was missing for 30 days before we caught her. I immediately bought two Whistle's and put one of the dog that did not run away.
I leave the collars with the Whistle in the hall closet while they are in the house and put the collars on them when I take them for a walk because I work from home and they are always with me. When I need to leave them at home by themselves, I put them in a crate and don't want them to choke themselves so I leave the collar off.
One of my Whistle's has a battery that drains much quicker than the other. I always charge them together overnight once or twice a week and by the time the first one gets low on battery the other still has a lot of battery left. Sometimes, one has 50% battery left and the other has 25%. That is a big difference if you are relying on the Whistle to help you find your dog and you need the battery to last. I only found out about the poor battery life because I had another Whistle to compare it to which was operating in identical circumstances. I feel sorry for most people who only have one Whistle because they wouldn't know whether their device worked well or not.
I tried resolving the issue with customer service but they said there was nothing wrong with the Whistle and it must be my wifi. I don't see how it can be my wifi if 22 hours of the day the two devices are within inches of each other and 2 hours of the day they are within 10 feet of each other. They said it was normal for one battery to drain faster than another.
I have nothing but good things to say…
I have nothing but good things to say about Whistle and highly recommend this or at least some kind of tracking device on your pet. But this is much more than a tracking device.
Whistle saved my dog
I live out in the country and my dogs will take off . One day when it was 107* outside and I had to go out into the farmland fields to get them. Whistle lead me right to them. When I got to them , one of my dogs was having a heat stroke. If it wasn't for Whistle and how fast I found them . My dog would have died. I have used Whistle for many years now. I would be lost without it.
Peace of mind!
I have had the Whistle tracker for a number of years. It brings much peace of mind. I got it when he was young and he got out of an unlocked gate. It works very well. It will follow him wherever he goes. I often take him to my sister who lives 30 miles away. It tracks him there. It even tracks him and my brother in law when they go for a walk. It is super easy to use and holds a charge well.

I had an issue with my whistle not charging and I was sent a new one right away it gives me great peace of mind to know where my dog is and this is a great product
We like the new whistle
We like the new whistle, it seems more sensitive to her movements. The battery has longer life. As mentioned, we do not leave the collar on overnight, it is the only time she scratches that we're aware of.
