Tell you absolutely nothing about anything. The medications the conditions what the outlook will be. Approximately how long the condition may last. Don't give you the medication option you want for your pet.

Best Vets in Hove

We moved to Wilbury a couple of years ago (after our previous vet who were very close in locale to let us down with their unnecessary procedures during a consultation) and have been so happy with them ever since.
The PetsApp is such a handy and reliable way of booking appointments and ordering meds etc and the response is always very quick, but if we have need to call for an appointment we can usually get one the same day, or the day after which is so reassuring.
Our dog who recently passed away has been treated with such love and care during her slow decline over the last 18 months and we couldn’t have hoped for a better vet in Jo, who has advised us with compassion, clarity and humour every step of the way.
Reception staff are wonderful and really make a fuss of every patient who comes through the doors, and the whole place has an air of calm and organisation, all geared towards making the experience as stress free as possible for humans and animals. If you’re thinking of making the switch I really recommend it.

Worst vets I have ever ever dealt with.
My first visit to your vetinary was highly unpleasant. Firstly I was left waiting for over an hour, everyone who was just walking in was being seen before me somehow. This then led to me having to get up and remind the receptionists I was there, to which I was then finally seen. No communication, no apology nothing. The vet was then extremely rude to me, including when I asked a question about all the different injections she was trying to force upon me and my cat. He was terrified, this was his first visit to this practice and she was so salesy it was incredibly uncomfortable and offputting. She then said 'what, you don't know what luekima is?!' To which I responded excuse me?? Yes I know what lukemia is I'm not stupid thank you. You are bombarding me with all these different products, wanting to inject my cat with all different things so I think I'm entitled to know what they are. I then refused due to her attitude (for someone who worked in sales for 6 years I'm not stupid I can see she was trying to get me to purchase as much as she could) not caring or considerate so not happening. Then the receptionist had no idea i was on the membership, so was trying going to charge me for non membership however I realised before she took payment... she wasn't rude herself and said the vet should have done this so this was clearly another mistake (maybe) of that vet.. but this receptionist was polite and got this sorted. Not a great first impression to say the least. 

Then, I tried adding my other cat to the membership which was proving to be another disaster. I asked my membership be taken on the 21st as this is when I pay all my bills, to no surprise it was taken weeks before several times and then I get an email to say I've cancelled. I emailed and a nice girl said she would reinstate this, just to call in with the details. I called in the girl couldn't find anything and told me she would pass this to someone else as she couldnt do this?? Once again something simple made difficult. The conversation was very long winded and she kept asking irrelevant questions that she couldn't even help me with. I then said don't worry I do not wish to reinstate anything, this has all been a mess I shall be registering elsewhere. I have never had such trouble with a vets and so many people who are just unprofessional, cannot do simple things and have no clue how to speak with a customer. She had said she will leave it all, I told her to cancel the appointment on Thursday and send through the complaint procedure. 

Now, I wake up this morning to an email saying you have reinstated my cats membership and will be taking payment in a couple days aswell as looking forward to seeing me Thursday...so you've decided to give yourself permission to reinstate a membership and take money from my account when I've cancelled. You've still not even included my other cat, and clearly the appointment was not cancelled. Of course I'm beyond unhappy at this point. I've called in to be instantly hung up on, then called again to speak with a girl who was incredibly rude, kept speaking over me, wasn't listening to what I was saying and kept going on about 'her role'... I explained you have set up a membership without my permission, infact worse because I specifically said NO and you have kept the appointment in place that I told you to cancel. What on earth is going on I don't know. I advised If anything leaves my bank I will be filing a charge back along with all correspondence of this. The girl then talks over me trying to end the call and surprise surprise hangs up on me again. 

I then put in a complaint and he blamed me saying I traumatised the receptionist because I was angry she hung up on me and then spoke over me constantly when I was already angry at their use of my personal details to set up a membership I had very clearly cancelled after the traumatic experience I HAD. I didn't raise my voice, wasn't abusive or anything I just asked her to not hang up on me again and told her why I was annoyed and that I want my details removed and cancelled. I'm pretty sure what they did was actually illegal you cannot use people's bank details without their permission.

Worst customer service ever dealt with and highly unprofessional and unpleasant place. Never have I had a vets like this, so will be taking it further.

Rip off £59 to see a cat

Rip off £59 to see a cat - all just to get flea treatments. Well I suppose they have to pay for the remodelling somehow, find somewhere else that cares about pets not money.

The best…..

I changed from a vets close to home, who provided me with a sub standard monthly subscription is around £10 more per month at Wilbury and its location is far less convenient for me to get to. In spite of all of this, I have no regrets at all. I’ve tried four vets in my dogs life and Wilbury exceeds all expectations. Todays vet was an Asian woman - not something I’d normally see the need to highlight, but I see that someone else has left a rubbish review centred around her. She was vaccinating my dog, something which is covered by the monthly subscription. I asked her to check my dogs leg whilst there, as he had been licking it a lot all weekend. She spent time examining it and ended up taking him to their operating theatre so she could see under the bright light. She found the culprit grass seed and removed it. No charge. Meanwhile, I used the facilities whilst waiting - possibly the cleanest public toilet on the planet! In fact the whole place is immaculate. Another reviewer reckons you need to be well dressed for the receptionists to treat you well. This has not been my experience in the months I have visited. Today I arrived in a sweaty mess and several people turned up very scruffy and looking hungover (possibly from Brighton Pride😆), we were all treated well. The receptionists are always polite, patient, helpful and knowledgable. The vets I have all met seem to be more emotionally intelligent, articulate and attentive than other vets my dog has seen. They have also always tried to give me advice to save money, rather than spend more with them.
Despite this vets being much less convenient for me and the subscription being £10 more per month than I used to pay (medicines and consultations are similar in price to other vets), I am so pleased with them that I came on here to review. Other friends have also joined Wilbury Vets and we all sing their praises.

Would Never Use Again!

Took my dog in a while ago as had sore ears. The Indian female vet I saw was the rudest person I had met for a long time. As soon as we met before I could say hello my dog jumped up to say hello to her and she said “I don’t like dogs jumping up at me!” In a very rude manner! Then it went down hill after that! She basically argued with me that I would need to have my dog sedated to look at his ears! No other treatment was offered! I saw her a second time where she was overly nice (didn’t ring true) but still argued with me.
After that I met a lovely Holistic Vet he said to use Collodial Silver and after 2 days they were fine!
This Vet is all about the business! They think more about the look of the surroundings than the animals. Would never use them again!

discriminatory practices

Unfortunately the manager has implemented very discriminatory practices. If you aren't dressed to their liking you are exiled to the street and must wait there to be seen, again on the street. In my case it was jeans, t-shirt and shoes - nothing out of the ordinary. Seems appalling to me that the pets care is put second, over the desire for them to not let the owners into their premises.
