We originally planned to replace or repair some old single glazed sash windows, but were very pleased, when Robin came to visit us, to find that our old casement windows could be fixed too. In the end we opted for replacement rather than repair and are very pleased that we did. We also decided to have our rather tired looking front door replaced with a new oak one. We are delighted with the appearance of all the windows and the door and amazed by how much warmer and draught free our house is. The service we received was fantastic, with Robin and Kieran both keeping us updated with progress and ensuring we were happy at all times when the fitting was taking place. The fitters did an excellent job and were very pleasant and efficient throughout. We would highly recommend this company.

Great after sales service.

WRSW have just completed work on 8 sash windows, fitting four with new double glazed units and repairing the existing sashes in the other four. The double glazing is very discrete, you can hardly see it is there but it has significantly cut the noise from the road at the front of the house. WRSW carefully replicated details from the old windows when making the new units, an important feature as the house is in a conservation area. The other windows required a fair amount of TLC to bring them back to safe working condition and the joiner Ryan deserves particular credit for bringing the large bay window back from the brink. All the windows are now draught-free, rattle-free and looking very good - I've already had compliments from neighbours.
I always felt confident that the work was in good hands: Ryan and the team of decorators worked hard and efficiently (and tidied up after themselves!), Robin and Kieran kept me informed about the progress of my job, visited several times while the work was being done and did a final inspection at the end of the work. I am delighted with the final results and would recommend WRSW without hesitation.

Extremely high standard of work, excellent customer service from enquiry to completion, I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Fantastic service, very professional, friendly and reliable. Highly recommend!

We found this company professional, friendly and efficient. They are knowledgeable about their subject , kept their appointments and worked to their timescales and estimate. They were tidy and the work was high quality. We would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Following an issue with the sash windows installed by our builder into our new kitchen extension, we have replaced them with windows made by William Richards. We have been impressed throughout with the knowledge, care and attention to detail shown by Robin, and also the two fitters Mark and Russell. We are absolutely delighted with the quality of our new windows and would not hesitate to use this small family firm again. I might also add that whilst our windows should have been fitted during the lockdown, we were kept informed and up to date throughout, and were impressed with the speed in which they were able to complete our work once safe to do so.

Fantastic job, would definitely recommend William Richards sash windows

Just had 8 enormous Victorian sash windows replicated in Slim line double glazing by William Richards. Had 5 companies in (visiting 3 of their workshops) to discuss options & quote. Chose this small family business and so glad I did in every respect. Advice, Craftsmanship, workmanship, cost & dedication were faultless. When we had a hitch with locks it was sorted with good sense & best haste. So impressed on such a big job.

Just had 2 bedroom sash windows refurbished and painted by 3 hard working chaps who have made a first class job. Secondary double glazing had to be taken out and replaced and it was all done in 2 days with everywhere hoovered and rooms left spotless. I'm hoping I don't have to have any other windows done but will have no hesitation to go back to William Richards if the need arises!

The guys that renovated our 20 plus sash windows were punctual, courteous, clean & tidy, paid attention to detail, trustworthy and professional. They’ve done a really fantastic job. Thanks Robin, Ben & John.

We had Robin and his team around to fix two sash windows, which were in very poor condition. They were incredibly professional, clean and tidy and polite, as well as doing a great job on the repairs, can't fault them. We will definitely be using them again.

Robin was fantastic at every step and it's clear he has a passion for his work, which comes through in the care taken and the high standard of finish. Great communication, easy to work with and a pleasure to have round. Highly recommended
