What to expect on installation day
Appointment confirmation and installation: Your technician will call you the day of your appointment and complete setup and installation. Equipment setup and coverage validation: We'll place your gateway where it gets the strongest signal and check for any dead spots. Every room and every device connected: We provide a digital certificate verifying wall-to-wall Wi-Fi coverage.
What is included in my free installation and setup?
Our professional technicians will install and set up your new Wi-Fi so that you have wall-to-wall coverage with no dead spots. They’ll connect all of your devices (phones, computers, TVs, smart devices, etc.) so that your home is working just the way you want it to.
Is there anything I need to do prior to my Whole Home Wi-Fi Set Up?
Make sure that you have provided Kinetic with your current phone number and arrange for someone 18 years or older to be present at the time of installation. Otherwise, your appointment will need to be rescheduled and result in a delay in setting up your Kinetic Wi-Fi service.
What should I expect during my Whole Home Wi-Fi Set Up?
During your Whole Home Wi-Fi Set Up, the technician will confirm all connections are working both inside and outside your home and install new wiring if necessary. The gateway is set up, then the technician assesses the Wi-Fi environment and makes recommendations for what you may need to optimize the signal throughout your home, such as additional Whole Home Equipment. Once the best possible Wi-Fi connection is verified, they will make sure your devices are signed in and ready to be used on your new network.
Does the technician need access to every room in my home?
Technicians will only enter rooms with your permission. If certain areas in your home are inaccessible or restricted, just let them know. However, be aware they can only certify your Wi-Fi signal in the sections of your home they’re able to inspect.
Will my yard be damaged during the installation process?
Protecting your property is our priority. Our technicians use precise tools and techniques to minimize disruption to your yard. When burying a fiber line, we create a small, clean groove which is immediately filled in as we proceed. This helps ensure minimal visible impact once the line is buried. If there's anything you’re specifically worried about, just let your technician know. We’re here to make sure everything goes smoothly.

The technician and the woman I talked…

The technician and the woman I talked with on the phone were very friendly. The problem with the transfer to fiber optic was on my end. I had a problem connecting the printer to the computer. I’m not very tech savvy. Although I know very little about technology, it took my granddaughter and son-in-law almost an hour to connect it, and they are very tech savvy. Kinetic was very good in getting our phone to show the right time. Alexa keeps cutting out since we got fiber optic. Also we don’t see any difference in speed, but that is not an issue with us

I was upset that my rate was raised by…

I was upset that my rate was raised by over $20.00dollars so I called and the very nice lady I spoke with was able to get my rate back to we’re it was. That lady should be commended for her care of the customer. I am very satisfied with your service and will continue using it and I will also spread the word on how happy I am with your service. Cable internet from them bites

I live in an area where kinetic is the only internet provider. We have the fastest cable plan they have. Lately the speeds are no where near what we are suppose to have. When I call customer service or tech support, they aren’t concerned in the least. Maybe others with fiber are happy but those of us in this area with cable aren’t. White county Gs needs to have more competition!

Terrible Customer Service

I cancelled my account on November 7th, 2025. I have a credit of $173.91. Today is February 23rd, 2026. I have called 11 times and talked with 11 different people looking for my refund. I have to speak each time a 3rd party overseas. If these people get off script, they are useless. These people are too busy apologizing. I was on hold 15 minutes before anyone picked up. I again go through all the information. Then she gives me another number to call for refunds. She told me give them my account number and they could take care of the issue. I called the other phone number, gave my account number. I was then told they couldn't find any records of my account. Then ask my address, mobile number, my name again. Still no record. I was told I needed a reference number starting with 0401 to be able to find me. Now I called back and was put on hold waiting for another representative. I am going to keep trying. Do not do business with this company they are horrible and u can NEVER talk with someone in the USA. The other thing these 3rd party overseas people speak such broken English you can't understand them.

Need to correct the landline dialing pattern

I wanted to give a five star review. The techs that set the appointment, showed up when promised, completed a great install, and got our WiFi up and working in short order - all deserve five stars.

However, when I attempted to use the phone to make an outbound call, it tells me I must dial a 1 for local (High Springs) and EAS (Extended Area Service) calls to Alachua and Gainesville. Poor planning, testing, and implementing the telephone service. Rating of a 1 or even less. I am aware that we must dial 10 digits (NPA-NXX-XXXX, but we nave never had to dial a 1 in front of the number.

Hello! Thank you for recognizing our technicians’ work—I’m glad the appointment and install went smoothly. I’m sorry for the frustration with the outbound calling prompt. In some service areas, dialing requirements (including dialing 1 before 10 digits for certain local/EAS calls) are set by the local calling plan and network routing standards and aren’t something we’re able to change on an individual line. That said, I’d still like to review your account and confirm the correct dialing pattern for High Springs and the Alachua/Gainesville EAS area.
